if you worked nights and your child was always in bed and asleep before you went out and never wakes up, would you give your neighbour who was wellknown to your child the baby monitor to keep an ear out on the offchance that they do wake up and a key to get in on that offchance rather than giving up work? (a babysitter costs more than i earn an hour)

so to start, do you have Microsoft Word? They have a CV wizard I think: basically, you need name, DOB, qualifications, job history, personal statement - about 2 A4 pages (in total!).

To get your dream job can you send your CV to every estate agent in your town that you can get to - ask if they have ANY role you could do; don't be too fussy to begin with - CTC and/or WTC will help if you are on a low income.

I know how hard it is getting off benefits; I am trying too and am going to succeed soon.

I truly hope you manage to find something nappy; I really do wish you all the best x

Hey, NA - if IRC you did Spanish? Maybe you could do home tutoring for yr 7 -11s? Just throwing ideas about. IIRC aswell you don't need to be qualified, correct me if I am wrong though. I paid £22-25 an hour for private tutoring, even after tax that's alot.

Lulumama · 05/02/2008 22:02

best of luck nappy.

nappyaddict · 05/02/2008 22:02

Alambil · 05/02/2008 22:03

in what context?

Alambil · 05/02/2008 22:03

have you got MSN nappy?

nappyaddict · 05/02/2008 22:03

LOW - i think parents would want people with proper qualifications. i got an A* GCSE spanish but i only got a D at A-level and really really struggled at uni. in fact i'm not sure i really learnt anything there.

Google "writing a CV" and variations - I found a website a few years ago that advises on CVS, give you the areas to cover depending if you have more education or more experience in jobs etc. And formats. I have just done DHs (god I hate writing them), so know a standard format if you need a hand, but you have a few offers already

Alambil · 05/02/2008 22:04

mind if I add you? will be easier to help you with your CV then

nappyaddict · 05/02/2008 22:05

OP posts:
Alambil · 05/02/2008 22:05

My friends mum tutors french and she doesn't have any - she is French though so more fluent in French than English. If you undercut all the local tutors, I am sure you could teach GCSE level? Only if it's something you want to do though.

nappyaddict · 05/02/2008 22:07

i would just worry i would teach them the wrong stuff!! it's been ages since i spoke any spanish and i'm sure i've forgotten it all.

notjustmom - that would be good.
