Thread 173 Shock. Break out the duvets and huddle round the scorching hot brazier HBF-of-choice.

Yet more domestic drivel and shameless perving.

Hurrah for fixed heating LetUs - break out the shorts and t-shirt!

It's sunny here, which is nice. I shall be glued to the computer with a new project, and not see much of it Hmm

Afternoon. Nice day, sunny and a bit warmer.

That’s good about the insurance Helen. Hope it goes smoothly.

Yay for heating being back LetUs.

I’m being a cat bed so can’t get up to do anything. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 30/03/2023 19:31

Evening wenches.

Being a cat bed and can’t do anything - good to see you are observing The Law there Apricot.

T shirt and shorts Helen? I know I’m not keen on many of my colleagues but I wouldn’t subject them to that Grin

Rain, rain, bit of not rain, rain.

Hurrah for Friday tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/03/2023 19:48

Evening all. I have had a productive day, but I've got a thumper of a headache.

Hope everyone else has had a good day.

FancyFancy · 30/03/2023 20:13

Evening. Well, back to work today. Nice to see everyone, but I'm glad the weekend is nearly here 😁

Yay for fixed heating letus

I should do a few chores before relaxing for the evening <procrastinates> Have nearly finished Downton and still no faf <sighs>

LetUsPrey · 31/03/2023 07:36

Morning wenches

Hope the headache went away with no after effects Helen.

The only FAF in Downton (at least where I’ve got to) was the clothes and jewellery Grin

Piddling it down again but it’s Friday and I’ve a yarn shop visit to plan for tomorrow with BestFriend.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/03/2023 07:38

Morning. It's dull and wet. Idiot kitty was sitting on me, but then decided to chew/lick my wrist and has now poured himself off me to go and - well, who knows. Probably either attempt to find more to eat or just curl up on a seat that doesn't move underneath him.

I should do and feed the chickens before I forget.

LetUs - true - you don't want undesirable colleagues to be hopelessly smitten by you.

Afternoon.
How's the head helen?

Yes, the clothes and interiors are lovely in Downton - I do like 1920's/1930's men's clothes. Love a nice waistcoat on a trim man Grin

ApricotCrush · 31/03/2023 16:52

Afternoon. Rain, heavy rain and rain here.

I don’t know why, but I keep thinking it’s Saturday. Confused. Did a Sainsbury shop this morning and bought Easter eggs for the DGC.

Oooo at yarn shop visit LetUs. Tell us what you get, I need some inspiration.

Have a lovely evening all. Wine

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 31/03/2023 18:55

TFIF 🍷

LetUsPrey · 31/03/2023 19:23

Evening Helen.

God Helen, that would definitely come under Things That I Never Want To Happen.

Oh yes the interiors are beautiful too Fancy.

Yarn visit has been postponed as BestFriend forgot she had plans tomorrow and I can’t make Sunday so we’re doing Good Friday instead. Gives me more time to plan and write a bigger list <nto>

Skål Wicked Wine

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/03/2023 20:59

Evening all.

The head is fine thanks, and Year End is done - whoop! (Or P12 is anyway, which is where my involvement stops.

I haven't bought Easter Eggs yet - tomorrow maybe. The manshapes are out for the whole day and most of the evening, so my time is mine for... doing stuff.

Excellent plan re. expanding the list LetUs - shopping or otherwise Grin
<pours Wine gin] etc>

Morning wenches.

Seems to be sunny. I’m half contemplating putting the washing out.

Not bought any Easter eggs yet. Perhaps DH could do it this year seeing as he’s the one in the supermarket every Saturday instead of expecting me to do it.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/04/2023 09:38

Morning all. Rainy McRainFace here. I could put the washing out (dirty) and save water Hmm

I have plans to do things and be productive today. Fingers crossed I manage to get some of it done Confused

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 01/04/2023 17:16

Afternoon. Grey sort of day. I did a wash but was reluctant to put it out because it looked like rain, but it didn't after all.

Hope Helen got her things done and MrLetUs got the Easter eggs. DH wouldn't know where to start in the supermarket. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 01/04/2023 19:23

Evening wenches.

No DH didn’t get the Easter eggs. I had to go out to Aldi this afternoon for something else so I got some whilst I was there.

Had a couple of washes out which actually dried (for the most part).

Have gone a bit wrong on my knitting so the cable pattern’s gone a bit off. It’s on the back but I’m cross and am worried about carrying in with it. I’ve not done much else really.

Hope you were more productive than I was Helen.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/04/2023 21:12

Evening all. I forgot to get Easter Eggs too. Ho hum. But I got lots of other stuff done - tidying and shopping and stuff. Also managed to dodge the rain, so that was good.

Then ended up at the cinema watching a computer game John Wick 4, which was one never-ending stunt/shoot-em-up and 3 hours worth of ridiculousness, but it was entertaining enough.

Bit whacked now, looking for an early night ideally. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for putting washing out.

Are you still being snowed on Wicked?

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 02/04/2023 08:55

Morning wenches.

Can’t remember last time I went to the cinema. You sound like you got plenty done Helen.

Today is supposed to be dry so the highlight of my day will be getting washing on the line.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/04/2023 10:24

Morning all. Washing is in the machine - hopefully two loads to get through and dried (or mostly dried) on the line).

Needless to say that yesterday's tidying effort has gone unnoticed/uncommented. <side eyes at DH> Still, I know it's done and that it's one less thing to sort out. Today I need to make my car less of a tip, so the repair people can fix it next week.

OP posts:
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/04/2023 12:25

Not snowing here Helen but it's been cold and still lot on the ground. Had a sunny couple of days so hope it melts away soon.

Nothing exciting this weekend, foodshopping, went for a walk, cleaned a bit (I plan to do a spring clean during easter) and mostly been on the couch in front of the telly.

Hope all wenches have a lovely weekend.

FancyFancy · 02/04/2023 13:12

Afternoon
Enjoying a quick lunch before heading off to meet FancyMan as we're going to a comedy gig today.

Easter eggs purchased (including one for myself Grin
Have fab Sundays everyone.

ApricotCrush · 02/04/2023 16:53

Afternoon. Lovely day here. I went to town for supplies and then we had a cuppa in the garden, very pleasant.

It’s DS’s birthday but we’re not doing anything as he’s gone to the caravan for the week to play golf and just generally chill out on his own.

There’s no point in us going to the cinema, DH always falls asleep. I think the last time we went was Titanic. Grin

Enjoy your gig Fancy.

LetUsPrey · 02/04/2023 18:07

Evening wenches.

Sounds a perfectly good way to spend a weekend Wicked. Here’s to the snow melting soon.

Three loads of washing out today, ironing done. The afternoon has been beautifully sunny and really quite nice. Ironing done and all away.

Enjoy the gig Fancy and hope lunch was delicious.

Happy birthday to your DS Apricot.

I seem to have mostly salvaged my knitting. There is a row or two where you see the pattern’s not quite right but it’s on the back and hopefully won’t be noticeable.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/04/2023 18:18

Evening all. Much Digging* has been done. Mostly nettle and couch grass. Very tedious, but the raspberries were getting overrun. They still are actually, but I've made a start. Two loads of washing done and now hanging indoor to finish drying - it's cooling down outside and I don't think anything will get any drier.

*Trivia - Much Digging opened the 1978 Gloucester Folk Festival Wink

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 03/04/2023 08:22

Morning wenches.

Grin at Much Digging. I think Nettle and Couch Grass were there too but on one of the smaller stages.

Sunny here. DS2 could have signed up for science revision classes, like it seems almost the whole of his year has done, but he promised he would do the equivalent at home if he didn’t have to go (his teacher won’t be there which I think put him off). Now denies all knowledge of this promise and says he will do “some” revision today. Sigh. He’s going in for other subjects later this week and next but these science ones would have been very helpful for him. Wonder how DS1 supervising him would go?

Suppose I’d better get going. <doesn’t move>
