<sends soothing vibes to helen>

Very showery here - saves me watering the garden later I suppose, otherwise...work...work...blah...blah <bores self>

ApricotCrush · 31/05/2022 17:35

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers here.

Misty is in disgrace. Sad She's shredded the lining of a full-length curtain in the bedroom. I was on the other side of it and saw her paw go up but couldn't get there in time. Goodness knows why she did that.

Hope the headache has gone Helen and the revision went better today LetUs.

Yay for booking moving company WW. Exciting.

Grin at Athos being no good at Jenga because of DTs.

Evening wenches.

Oh Helen Sad hope you got some rest and your head’s feeling better.

Lots of rain here too but seems to be brightening up a bit now. Breezy though.

Oh dear at Misty shredding the curtain lining. Is it salvageable at all?

How’s your medical issue Wicked? Any improvement?

Revision went better today thankfully. Work was work.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/05/2022 21:45

Evening. I emerged from bed (again) at about 1pm and cracked on with the day. Fingers crossed the headache has thoroughly FTFO now, because I really don't have time for them just now.

Shock at Misty - though at least it's the lining she shredded rather than the curtain itself?

We have had lots of rain and I have been busy working and stuff.

LetUsPrey · 01/06/2022 07:45

Morning wenches.

Fingers crossed to the headaches staying away Helen.

I just put DS2’s phone in the washing machine. Carried an armful of washing downstairs and an iPad and his phone. Put iPad on charge, go into kitchen and put washing in machine. What was that clang I thought? Ah well, put the kettle on. Now where did I put his phone? Checked living room, nope. Ohhhh that’s what that clang was. Fortunately wash not going on till this afternoon so I was able to rescue the phone.

This is what not being able to get to sleep until late and then waking up early gets you. Short day though and then off until Monday!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/06/2022 08:39

😱LetUs - can you imagine the epic hissy fit to end all hissy fits?! Thank goodness you managed to rescue it in time.

I have another day of village event preparation and checking my phone, because I worked out how to get my work emails on there. (A rare and unusual display of wench tech competence.)

I also have to go out in 20 minutes so had better finish breakfast, get dressed, etc.

I was sunny, but it's clouding over again Confused I'm hoping I'm not in for another drenching. (Got soaked to the skin yesterday, and not a HBF in sight. FML)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/06/2022 10:05

I took a photo (yuk) and I have a fistula, not hemorrhoids!! Fuck! This needs surgery 😱 I’ve already contacted my GP.

ApricotCrush · 01/06/2022 16:00

Afternoon. Bit of a grey day here, and still cold, although it looks like it's warming up soon.

I've ordered some iron-on repair stuff for the curtain so that'll have to do. I can't replace the lining, it's all sewn in.

Oh hell's bells WW, that sounds nasty. Sad Good luck with the GP.

Your event sounds exciting Helen, I hope lots of other people are helping with the preparation and that your headache keeps away.

DD has a money-off voucher for a meal at a local pub, so we're going there later.

Evening wenches.

Oh crikey Wicked Sad poor you. Hope everything moves quickly for you with the doctors.

Enjoy your evening out Apricot. I reckon you should get Misty to repair the curtains, which I’m suggesting just so I can a cat ironing the repair stuff on to the curtain whilst muttering under her breath. And I’ve only had one sip of Pimms.

Hope you stayed dry Helen and that you’ve made progress with the event prep. I don’t even want to think about what DS2 would have been like if I’d switched the machine on Shock

Also hope weather is staying nice for Fancy so she can be busy in her garden <nae>

We’ve had all the dramas at work today which are too lengthy and aarrgghh to detail. But it’s now a long weekend and tonight’s plan includes Pimms and bath’n’book.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/06/2022 21:43

Eeewww Wicked Sad that's not fun. Hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

I have had 10 hours of prepping and working and I'm a bit tired. Cam we assume I made all the right noises about everyone's days, with double-entendres, etc?

Work dramas can FTFO LetUs - I shall join you in the Tav hot tub with a book and some chocolates.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/06/2022 07:17

Morning Wenches, it's sunny.
<runs out of the door>

LetUsPrey · 02/06/2022 08:24

Morning wenches.

Sunny here too. Enjoy your day Helen.

Today will be a few blocks of revision with DS2, washing, general tidying, but mostly sitting outside with a jigsaw.

FancyFancy · 02/06/2022 12:04

So far have spent my bank holiday reading in bed 😊time to get moving - laundry, gardening and hoovering need to be done.

Ouch ww that sounds awful, hope you get the medical treatment soon.

Oh Misty you naughty thing 😱What is it with cats and curtains? ScaredyCat has a bit of a thing about them too - never shredded any, but goes behind the long (and bloody expensive) lounge curtains when she wants attention and if they're closed will swipe at FancyCat through them. As I don't want my curtains to be the site of a kitty battleground the curtains hardly ever get closed.

ApricotCrush · 02/06/2022 17:12

Afternoon. Nice day, warmer, but very little sun.

DH is at DS's so I'm doing some eBaying. Nothing going on in our road although some neighbours have dressed a grassy knoll island outside our house which looks very nice. I watched the flypast which made me a bit emotional. We do do these things very well.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

LetUsPrey · 02/06/2022 19:41

Evening wenches.

I’ve done not very much - washing, tidying, jigsawing, knitting, revision with DS2.

There’s some bunting up on a few houses in our street. We didn’t seem to get round to getting any.

I’m fighting the urge to eat either an ice cream or crisps.

FancyFancy · 02/06/2022 21:44

Watched the flypast too, love the Red Arrows 😊otherwise have been cleaning and weeding - could hear the band in the park from my garden this afternoon so had a musical accompaniment. I think my road are doing something on Sunday, nothing formal though.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/06/2022 07:08

Morning wenches. Groundhog day here. (I am tired and maybe a bit sunburnt.)

We also have a Jubilee thing here on Sunday, but the forecast is awful, so I suspect it will be a complete washout (unless the forecast is wrong!)

LetUsPrey · 03/06/2022 09:04

Morning wenches.

Rain here at the moment but forecast has cleared up for this afternoon for our street party which will be less a jubilee celebration and more a chance to play loud music and get drunk in the street and a right larf

Shopping for baking stuff as going to LittleSis’s tomorrow so I’ll take a cake. Revision with DS2, possibly some knitting.

Loved the 70 shape they did Fancy! Talk about showing off Grin

<passes sunscreen to Helen as well as soothing aftersun>

ApricotCrush · 03/06/2022 16:42

Afternoon. Sunny this morning but it’s raining now. I find the BBC weather app is all over the place. It’s showing sunny intervals now. Confused Hopefully Sunday will be rain-free for all the parties etc.

Hope your street party is going well LetUs. Wine

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 03/06/2022 17:51

Afternoon wenches.

Street party wasn’t too bad after all which may or may not have had something to do with two pints of Pimms. Anyway, is done now. Bought some yarn this morning specifically for some knitting for premature babies. I don’t think I’ll start this evening though. Those babies have a tricky enough start in life without having a cardigan with one sleeve, wonky fronts.and unintentionally interesting patterns.

Hope wenches have had lovely weather.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/06/2022 00:07

FMLong post that I posted that didn't post. MN and it's stupid new 'upgrade' can FTFO and the fuck off some more. <Kills upgrade in the face with fire, etc>

<strops off to bed>

Happy weekend...

LetUsPrey · 04/06/2022 09:50

Morning wenches.

Sunny here but a bit breezy. DS2 in a right mood on and off.

<throws extra HBF on Helen>

i have much stuff to do so what I’m doing is not doing any of it.

ApricotCrush · 04/06/2022 18:11

Afternoon. The weather was supposed to be light cloud with a moderate breeze, so I did a washload. It rained. Angry

Nothing much going on here. DH is at DS's again, he's on electrics now and DS is painting it so hopefully it shouldn't take much longer.

Anyone watching the concert tonight? I don't recognise half of the acts, but I want to see Queen not THE Queen as she won't be there.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 04/06/2022 21:56

Evening wenches.

Spent a lovely afternoon at LittleSis’s. Bit tipsy tired now though.

We’ve watched most of the concert. There’s been a fair mix of oooo this is good and what the actual.

FancyFancy · 04/06/2022 22:03

May watch the concert on catch up - am a bit pissed on aperol spritzes and watching trashy TV with DD after an afternoon shopping. Bought shoes and books. Happy days 😁
