How scary Letus. Glad your mom is at home now.

LetUsPrey · 06/05/2022 20:51

Thanks Wicked. Seems it was “just one of those things”.

A few years ago I watched a Swedish crime drama set in the 1960s. Crimes of Passion I think it was called. It was very good.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/05/2022 22:06

Eek! re. DMLetUs - glad she's ok. (I fainted in Woolworths once - v. embarrassing, though they gave me some free chocolate to perk me up again!)

Work was workish, but I found the source of the hole in my budget, so it's all good. Pizza'n'drinks was also good.

Enjoy the pink'n'FAF'n'thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighs Fancy - fingers crossed for the triffids staying under control. Grin

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2022 08:48

Morning wenches.

I get triffids mixed up with the aliens in War of the Worlds so I read your post Helen and have various Jeff Wayne tunes whizzing around my head.

Free chocolate can never be a bad thing.

Have to go into town for many birthday cards and then head to NearbyVillage for prescription. Want to see mother too, then off to see DS1.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2022 11:45

Morning. I had a bit of a lie-in and a very confusing dream - DH bought a house which turned out to be a steel-clad barn inside another barn in the middle of a junk yard and I was rather annoyed with him. The floors were all uneven bricks which I quite liked, but DH wanted to concrete over. There was no garden. Apparently the locals though that 'Jodie Foster and her daughter' had bought it. Hmm confused]
It's cloudy and has been mizzling. Once I feel less spaced out I will do stuff and be productive.

Afternoon. Nice day but I didn't have time to sit outside.

Oh LetUs, how awful for your Mum. Hope she's alright now.

Good grief WW, I don't really know what to say about that. Shock

DD and SIL are going to some black tie event tonight, so I'm going to take some photos of them in their finery before they go. We're going out for a meal with friends which isn't quite the same thing. Hmm

ApricotCrush · 07/05/2022 17:01

Heavens, Helen, where on earth did that dream come from. Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2022 17:32

Athos looks a bit …. different Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/05/2022 18:58

That's not my Musketeer... Grin Seriously, with role players, I swivel between admiration for their not giving a monkey's what anyone thinks / their commitment to creating the costumes, and wondering WTF they're thinking. And then giving my head a wobble for judging anyone on having some harmless fun.

I have been digging over the dustbowl veg patch. I'm now at the stage I could actually plant some potatoes. That will be tomorrow's job.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/05/2022 19:13

I prefer our Musketeers but I admire their dedication and all the work they put in 😀

LetUsPrey · 07/05/2022 20:23

Evening wenches.

Been to see mother. She’s quite chipper but her foot’s rather sore. We’ll be keeping an eye on it. Also been to see DS1 and had a late lunch. Had a full English breakfast which was delicious.

That dream is brilliantly bonkers Helen Grin

Enjoy your meal and your evening out Apricot.

Those Musketeers do look quite different.

I’ve done bath’n’book and am now feeling a bit drowsy.

FancyFancy · 07/05/2022 22:00

Blimey, they're dedicated ww, I'll stick with our Musketeers I think though....

Glad DM is ok letus & hope her foot improves soon

Excellent bonkers dream helen, goodness only knows what it means. Probably best not to find out 😂

How was the meal apricot?

Forgot that the cycling highlights are not on catch up & hadn't set the video last night, so last night's thiiiighs were reduced to two minutes that I could find on line <eyerolls at self> Did manage to catch the highlights tonight through. Didn't do much weeding in the traditional sense, but did pot up some shoots that look like they are self-seeded 'nice' weeds. Am now dithering about digging up the bluebells as they look so nice in flower around the peony, shame they smother everything else.

LetUsPrey · 08/05/2022 10:20

Morning wenches.

<sets Fancy’s video to record cycling highlights>

I have no gardening advice to offer but I’m sure it will look lovely whatever you decide.

Had a bit of a lie in. Today includes washing, ironing, and homework wrangling. Will also visit mother again.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/05/2022 10:33

Morning all.

It's sunny and breezy outside. I should put some washing on, but cant' be arsed. It's not like the weather is forecast tot urn any time soon Sad

I'd wait for the bluebells to stop flowering before moving them 'in the green', but hard to say if they're smothering other stuff. <side-eyes at own bluebells which aren't in rick of smothering anything>

I had another bonkers dream last night, but can't remember it now.

Glad to hear that DM is ok LetUs and hope that Fancy has set up to record the thiiiiiiiiiiiighs cycling.

ApricotCrush · 08/05/2022 17:11

Afternoon. It's gone sunny here and I didn't do any washing either. In fact I haven't done much at all today. Hmm

Nice meal last night, lovely to have a catch up with friends we don't see very often.

Evening
Have been out all day walking with FancyMan and a couple of his friends. Was a gorgeous day for walking, just the right temperature, clear air so the views were good and carpets of bluebells in the woods. English ones, not the huge Spanish ones in my garden. Am a bit pooped now.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/05/2022 21:40

Evening all. I have gardened my little socks off today, so the spuds are all planted and I sowed some beetroot as well. No washing got done - on which subject, I think I'm in need of a bath!
<illustrates 'baths'/showers>

LetUsPrey · 08/05/2022 21:40

Evening wenches.

Washing and ironing done. Either DS2 was being a total pain re homework, DH has been being monumentally annoying, or I’m in the sort of mood where my tolerance levels are non-existent. Perhaps it’s a bit of each although DH is being annoying

Not doing much sounds a good way to spend the day Apricot, as does a walk in perfect walking conditions with FancyMan and friends.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/05/2022 21:41

I don't understand the GIFs thing - they are moving GIFs in the previews when I load them up, but one I've posted them they don't move any more. Odd.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/05/2022 07:41

Morning all. Bright and sunny here. Another glorious day of work beckons... Hmm

LetUsPrey · 09/05/2022 07:46

Morning wenches.

They move in our minds Helen.

Sunny here too. NiceColleague is poorly so today will be tons of fun.

ApricotCrush · 09/05/2022 17:52

Afternoon (or evening). Nothing of any interest to report. Misty has been asleep beside me all day, snoring her little head off. I need to do something about her claws, she catches them on everything.

Hope everyone's had a good day, well, not too bad anyway. Hmm

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 09/05/2022 19:16

Evening wenches.

Squeeeee at snuggly snoring Misty!

Work was busy but it was bizarrely quiet.

FancyFancy · 10/05/2022 00:05

Aw, sounds like Misty is feeling very at home.
Felt rather weary today but that's eased a little as the day went on. FancyMan and I went for a short walk then I did a little bit of gardening - found a few more weeds that can be repurposed 😊
