Gah at MiniMiniApricot. Sodding children and their utter absent-mindedness! DS regularly leaves sports equipment/clothes behind, fortunately nothing's been lost permanently yet.

Hope that a day off on the sofa has done LetUs the world of good, and that Fancy has had a good day.

Feeling much better thanks everywench. Had my day of Miss Marple and history programmes planned but late morning got a call from school to say DS2 wasn’t well so he came home. Not entirely convinced that if I hadn’t been home, the outcome would have been the same. He’s tickety boo.

I remember one of the DC lost one PE sock, which later turned up. And one of them came home wearing another child’s shoes. DS1 also lost his winter coat by leaving it on the college bus.

Feel about a billion times better than I did yesterday morning so hurrah! Sun is shining, it’s supposed to be nice tomorrow too so I’m already mentally planning to get the beds stripped, dressing gowns washed, etc.

Also I’ve just noticed that apparently I think the delays to Wicked’s new housing warrants a grin which obviously I didn’t. Should obviously have been . Hope it doesn’t take as long as feared Wicked.

Afternoon. Lovely day, it seems spring has sprung!

Got into the car to go to Lidl this morning and the battery was flat. It's a new one too, but I don't do many miles so I suppose it's understandable.

Anyway, I defrosted the chest freezer instead. I don't think it's been done for about 18 months. I'm definitely losing height or my arms are getting shorter as I had trouble reaching the back corners and my back wasn't happy. DH would help, but we have different ways of doing things and it would lead to an argument, so I'd rather do stuff when he's out.

We're going to another quiz night tonight at the golf club. Doooooom! It should be fun because the other two men in our team fell out a couple of weeks ago and haven't spoken since. They're like bloody kids.

Then tomorrow I'm going to an afternoon tea with DD and some of her friends and their mothers. I can't cope with it all.

Sounds a decent evening Fancy except for the confusing programme. You want lightweight for a Friday evening. Or for any time if you’re like me . I’ve discovered that all the series of Cadfael appear to be available to watch so I am sorted.

Morning all. It is gloriously sunny day again and I'm spoilt for choice as to which HBF what to do. Painting, gardening, hoovering, washing the Sahara off the windows...? The manshapes have gone off to SportingActivity and I sabotaged my lie-in by waking at 3am wondering if I'd forgotten to do horse related stuff yesterday, so was down there first thing to check. (I had. Arse.) And with the weather so nice, it seems a bit pointless to go back to bed when I could be faffing about online doing productive things.

Beautifully sunny here too. Second wash about to go out, flapjacks in the oven, cookie dough chilling in the fridge. Even DS2 has cracked on with homework without being reminded.

Well, we didn't go to the quiz night. DH had been at DS's doing some of the groundwork for the log cabin. I phoned him and said we've got to be at the golf club in 45 minutes. He said - no, it's next week. I said - no, it's tonight. He phoned his friend who said - yes, it's next week. I said - no, it's tonight. Friend phoned the organiser who said - yes, it's tonight. Friend phoned me to say it's tonight but they can't go because they have covid. DH came home in his dirt having been digging a trench, so as we were already late we decided not to go.

I did go to the mother and daughter thing which was lovely and we'll do it again soon.

Hope you had a better night WW, it's awful when you can't sleep.

I have has a superbly productive day, which probably means I'll be stiff as a board tomorrow and won't be able to move. But lots of garden got pruned/planted/dug out as appropriate.

The one thing I didn't do was laundry. Or Baking. That's two things, but whatever.

I think I need to switch the massage thing on and have a go at my back. Though Id much rather have a HBF doooooooooooooo ittttttttt. They're so inconsiderate with their general lack of existence in day-to-day life.

Have had a quiet day - pottered and then did some work. It looked lovely out there, but rather windy so I postponed doing any gardening.

The sunshine and some warmth does make a heck of a difference. I’ve a wash out already and am going to get an early start with the ironing. Need to help DS2 with some maths homework too but it’s all simultaneous and quadratic equations and I really don’t remember those from my schooldays.

Afternoon. Another lovely day but I haven't been out.

Did housework this morning and started to put the jumper together this afternoon. That's the bit I hate.

Gosh, LetUs, that was a busy day. The sun really does make you want to get on with stuff.

Have been out in the garden, feeding and weeding. And moving weeds of course.

Evening all. Well, it was lovely weather this morning, but then it wasn't. So I'm glad I didn't get any washing out before we went out, because it was miserable by the time we got back.

In other news, I had a lovely hour or so mooching around Dunelm today with no-one pestering me to hurry up, and then we went to watch The Batman. The Batman was very good, and also very long and very loud. At one point I was watching with my fingers in my ears while providing an internal audio commentary of "Batman has car chase with Penguin..." which went on for 5 minutes or so (it might not have been that long, it felt that long though).

Sorry, we’re keeping her

Met my landlord yesterday and he showed me the cottage and it’s going to be great in the end, especially the bedroom felt very cosy. I’ll just have to wait a bit longer than I thought.
