LOL at MrA and his confusion at not understanding something he slept through. I thought of you when Last Kingdom was mentioned on the radio the other day.

Not much going on today - work and more work really. My Twitter timeline has had pictures of Strike being filmed down in Cornwall. I eventually realised that I've actually been to the places being used for filming about 5 years ago, and Elk was there a couple of years ago trying to avoid being blown off a cliff Shock If we extrapolate the relationship between Wench holiday destinations and filming locations, then we should have a Strike book will be filmed ChezElk Grin Grin

Hope that LetUs's day got less Sad

LetUsPrey · 11/03/2022 06:11

Morning wenches.

Yesterday was busy but at least the traffic had improved a tiny bit on the way home. Internet not working properly which is a pain - seems to be a wide ranging problem but it’s annoying.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/03/2022 07:33

at flakey internet

It is bright and sunny, and also Friday, which sort of makes up for having to work when I'd rather be in bed. I will Wordle, then be got back to bed productive

FancyFancy · 11/03/2022 15:42

It is indeed Friday, and I have the day off Grin so far have had a lie in and done a grocery shop - I have MIL and FIL visiting for lunch tomorrow. Well technically ex-MIL and ex-FIL, will be lovely to see them again. Have taken the opportunity to buy lots of cheese so we can have cheese and biscuits.

FancyFancy · 11/03/2022 15:44

Am now under a cat again....

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/03/2022 16:56

Mmm cheese

Had the weirdest dream, I visited my girlfriend (?!) in USA and she lived in a redneck area and there were relatives there when I arrived and I shook hands with a guy who had six fingers on his hand (his parents were probably cousins) Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/03/2022 16:57

You posted early Letus, problem sleeping? ❤️

ApricotCrush · 11/03/2022 17:41

Afternoon. Miserable day here with much rain.

Oh, we've had two holidays in St. Mawes pre-DC. We stayed at the Ship and Castle and the Idle Rocks respectively. One night sister-in-law and I stayed in to hair wash, do nails etc. and DH and brother-in-law went out to the pub. They forgot the time, were locked out and had to climb onto

Evening wenches.

oh that naughty cat again Fancy. Honest.

Yep, awake at 5am Wicked and couldn’t get back to sleep. Excellent bonkers dream Grin

What a top story Apricot! You have some great stories.

Still no WiFi. Guess how happy DS2 is about this 🙄

FancyFancy · 11/03/2022 21:05

HANDS OFF MY CHEESE!!!!!!!

cracking dream ww

What is it with MrA and roofs? Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/03/2022 21:53

I was thinking exactly the same re. MrA and roofs Fancy Grin

As bankers dreams go Wicked, that's a good one Grin I was about to be stabbed in one of mine recently - I'll take your six-fingered relative over that.

Today has been workish (lots of people denying all knowledge of things that had already been agreed) and then sportingActivity which was fun and a bit tiring and I think I'll have a bath shortly.

Grin
LetUsPrey · 12/03/2022 07:21

Morning wenches.

wasn’t me, it was the cat.

Today is shopping, cleaning, washing, knitting. The shopping includes a new coat for DS2

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/03/2022 07:30

Morning all.

Are you somehow implying that DS2 isn't thrilled by the idea of coatshopping LetUs? Hmm We have sportingActivity today followed by SportingCompetition under floodlights. I think that about 12 hours will be spent at SportingVenue today Confused Though I shall stay at home until the evening part.

I will be mostly painting today I think, and mooching online. And baking. And going back to bed.

Have a good day all.

FancyFancy · 12/03/2022 15:13

I may have been on the pink at lunchtime - ex-MIL really is an appalling influence They brought their dog with them, who is an utter sweetie, but now I have two suspicious cats sniffing everything. Anyhow, was a lovely lunch and I have enough leftovers for dinner, especially cheese and biscuits

ApricotCrush · 12/03/2022 17:08

Afternoon. Nicer day today, we had sun this morning.

That sounds like a busy day Helen. Good luck for the competition.

Hope the coat shopping went well LetUs.

Lovely that you had a good time with ex-MIL and dog Fancy.

Grin at DH and roofs.

Evening wenches.

Didn’t get a coat for DS2. Got a few other bits and pieces but dear lord the whining. Collected a prescription for my dad and asked DS2 to carry it whilst I was sorting my purse and bag out. But it’s so heavy, is it a couple of bricks etc etc etc. Whinging whilst in the shop where we looking for a coat. I don’t exactly dawdle whilst I’m shopping but I was being extra quick.

Internet is fixed so hurrah for that.

Washing has been done and pegged out oooooooo. I know I’m a bit behind other wenches but it’s first washing out of the year for me.

I like the sound of XMIL Fancy. Mine was an utter narcissistic nightmare and I thankfully haven’t seen her for the best part of nearly 30 years.

Hope sportingactivity evening is progressing nicely Helen.

I swear I saw XMIL’s dog taking something away.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/03/2022 23:24

Night all. We are home. I'm a bit pooped, but we brought home two medals Grin

LetUsPrey · 13/03/2022 09:15

Morning wenches.

Congratulations on the medal wins Helen!

Today seems cloudy and much cooler than yesterday. There will be ironing and knitting today. No visiting as parents have Covid.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2022 09:53

Morning all.

Oh no LetUs Sad poor parents. Hope it's a mild dose for them.

It was nice and sunny here, but it's clouded over now and it's breezy so it does 't feel the warmest. I don't know if rain is forecast. CuteKitten is being being cute. Unlike last night when he was a little sod and we threw him out for repeatedly jumping on IntelligentCat (who intelligently stays upstairs away from him as much as she can)

Today is horsing and painting and the baking which didn't happen yesterday. Plus possibly taxi-ing for DS.

FancyFancy · 13/03/2022 11:27

Morning
Feeling like I ought to get stuff done today after writing off most of yesterday due to lunchtime drinking Grin

I did get a bit done in the garden, so if the showers hold off I may do a bit more today.

People like your XMIL are best off out of your life Letus, hope your parents are soon recovered

Congratulations on the medals Helen

ApricotCrush · 13/03/2022 17:31

Afternoon wenches. Ironing and knitting here too.

I didn't have a good relationship with my MIL, I don't think she ever forgave me for taking her son from her - we were only 16 when we met. I wasn't on speaking terms with her on our wedding day which was a bit awkward. Hmm She did mellow when the DC were born though and was a good granny to them.

Oh LetUs, hope your parents soon get better. Sad

Well done on the medals Helen. Star

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/03/2022 18:01

Evening all. I am pooped. I have done the horsing, DH has done painting, and I have done gardening instead of baking. And now I just want to marinade in a hot bath (HBFs always welcome to join me of course).

My MIL is very nice, though we rarely see the In-laws.

FancyFancy · 13/03/2022 20:13

Too showery here for gardening, so I gave the front room a thorough clean instead.

Blimey that does sound awkward apricot - I always say I miss my XMIL, not my ExH Grin

I think you have the right idea Helen, don't hog all the hbfs, I need one with good strong hands for a back massage......

LetUsPrey · 13/03/2022 21:06

Evening wenches.

A quiet, up and down sort of day. DS2 has upped the ratbag levels this weekend so that’s been fun.

Parents are doing quite well, all things considered thanks. LittleSis and her DH have had it too but they’re over it now.

Your MIL sounds a lot like BigSis’s MIL Apricot. I don’t call my MIL LovelyMIL for nothing. She’s a genuinely lovely person.

Kept making mistakes with my knitting. They’re not obvious thankfully but I’m cross with myself. And a bad case of the Sunday Evening Dreads isn’t helping.

LetUsPrey · 14/03/2022 07:39

Morning wenches.

Is cold and the cars are frosted over.

I’m not keen on Monday tbh and I’d rather not.
