Hi..

Just wondered what people's views were on Ulrika / her book / her date rape allegations??

I personally am not that interested in her life but wonder why she wants to reveal all!!

Willow2, your post is intrigueing. (Haven't got my spelling head on tonight). She does come across as a madam when she's not concentrating. She used to live in Chesham, didn't she? Only I used to live there to, at around the same time and I often wonder if we met, before she was famous. hmm.

tracyhay · 22/10/2002 23:26

how strange! i've had a really strong feeling it was JL after the JR interview!!
i think she needed to write about it as the rest of her cock ups with men would not make as much sense and such a big traumatic event has made her the person she is now. you could argue why she needed to write a biog anyway!

Willow2 · 23/10/2002 00:18

frankly, if I was going to sit down and read a celebrity biog, it would never in a million years be hers.

karenanne · 23/10/2002 08:41

personally ive never had a great opinion of miss johnsson, although anyone who's been raped has my sympathy.my problem with the whole rape part in the book is why put it in if she was unwilling to name the person who did this.after all the scandal after her fling with sven she must have known her book would be a big deal and that by putting the rape in the book and not naming her assailant that this would happen.eventually its going to come out that its such and such.personally i think she knew this would happen and it takes the onus off of her naming him.

I would imagine that the reason she has not named the person is for the same reason people were reluctant to mention him on here - libel.

If this happened a long time ago, then I wuld imagine evidence is likely to be fairly non existent and therefore Ulrika would be hard pressed to back up any claims with proof. She may be able to prove it happened,(the hospital stay for example) but not who did it.

Willow2 · 23/10/2002 10:02

apparently she ended up in hospital with internal injuries .... which would make you think why weren't questions asked at the time?

this is an interesting thread about all of this!

futurity · 23/10/2002 13:02

can't get into that site?

futurity · 23/10/2002 13:07

i think they have deleted it...what did it say!?

Bobbins · 23/10/2002 13:08

I think they've deleted it. I'm very disappointed if it is John Leslie. I remeber thinking how considerate he seemed when he jumped up on stage at the TV Awards to save Judy Finaigan's modesty.

jac · 23/10/2002 13:09

I just managed to get onto it, I wonder if they have deleted it? But anyway they name the same man and has been named here. Also apparently The Wright Stuff? is it named him inadvertently this morning, did anyone see, was it the same name??

Bobbins · 23/10/2002 13:09

futurity> all about JL...saying he was going to make a statement about it in a few hours, and stuff about booze and drug fuelled orgies at his flat.

Scatterbrain · 23/10/2002 13:10

Or was he leaping forward to get a closer look ? Phnerr Phnerrrr !!

That site said lots of libellous things about JL hosting coke orgies and being a bit of a rough old tart basically !

Who knows what's true ?

SoupDragon · 23/10/2002 13:15

Yep, I'm not surprised they've deleted that thread! There were at least 3 offers from the tabloid press to pay for people's stories.

Which makes me think that maybe we should be a bit more careful on this thread... we wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble

bundle · 23/10/2002 13:15

he used to go out with Catherine Zeta Jones

jac · 23/10/2002 13:23

They also named the married man she had a fling with. That's all I'm saying

Bobbins · 23/10/2002 13:26

mmm, I fancy some walker's crisps

jac · 23/10/2002 13:27

Bobbins!

Scatterbrain · 23/10/2002 13:28

Ha Ha Ha !!! ROFL

ellasmum · 23/10/2002 13:29

Bobbins - I have heard that he is not the good guy that everyone thinks he is!! Apparently a bit of a ladies man.

OP posts:
Bobbins · 23/10/2002 13:29

what?

I'm just a little hungry is all

bundle · 23/10/2002 13:29

Bobbins, I've heard from a lot of Corporation people that she's not the only one to have had some Walkers crisps..

thumper · 23/10/2002 13:31

No!!!! I'm distraught!

Bobbins · 23/10/2002 13:31

I don't know what you lot are going on about
