We bought a kitchen for DD too last Christmas, she does love it but not as much as her male cousin and the little boy that lives downstairs. Even in her nursery the boys hog the kitchen, as well as the ironing board (DD doesn't know what an ironing board is poor lamb).
Yes I suppose it's paranoia about things that are different. It's the same here, only for different things (non scoprire la pancia/colpi d'aria, is the oil extra vergine/the pasta scotta etc.)
You lot are very good at reading such a lot, I used to read a book a day until DD was born, then alas I discovered Mnet and haven't really picked up a book since. I still have the last 3 Camilleri to get through. I bought them with the best intentions but somehow still haven't got round to picking them up.
