Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Veteran Clunkers welcome. Anyone else who wants to join in the chat - sense of humour essential! - welcome.

Boogaloo is in the RP (what a dreadful place to navigate!) but in a private group set up by the one who had her own support thread about the father of her toddler having a terminal illness. If anyone ever needed their support thread more at the moment, it is her.

I am in the private group as well - no idea how that happened - but am zipping back and forth to help keep the lines of communication open. There are others in both places too.

I'm starting my list now and the tech-minded are putting their ideas together. Sheen put a suggestion forward so I've relayed that. Hawthorn ditto, so relayed that too. If I keep using old usernames it's because of 👀

Our old details are required legally to be destroyed. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Chin up, Clunkers. We are going to be just fine. Meanwhile the butlers have done a fine job, installing the coffee machine, bringing over the food supplies and setting out the comfy chairs - socially distanced, of course.

Oh and I just remembered it is our Wedding Anniversary today 35 years married, the funny thing I spoke to Mr Nelly on the phone, he never mentioned it either. 😂😂😂😁

I have got a card for Mr Nelly, it’s in my knicker drawer, I put in there before we went away, if he gets me one, I’ll give him my one. 😂😂😁❤️

I’m going to do Spaghetti and meatballs, so we can link spaghetti, just like Lady and the Tramp. 😘

Good afternoon all. Been to have my flu jab this morning. Did a bit of shopping on the way back, now having belated elevenses before getting on with stuff.

I hadn't been on the other place for a bit due to work. Some of you may remember I teach adult ed. classes, via Zoom this term. It's ten years since I last did the Anglo Saxons, and there's a lot of new information, thanks to archaeology, and a lot more information online, since then. I'm having to spend a lot of time reading and updating. Just last Monday this was announced. (Link is to the BBC, but it was also in the DT and the Grauniad, and Google will bring up the press release all the stories are based on.)

I love that little ball remover Distant ... it has batteries , seriously though, I have got a lot of lambswool and it really makes a difference.

I hadn't used it on my sofas before but they were getting bobbly on the front cushion edge, like a wooly jumper!

Very satisfying and therapeutic.

Me too Moogle, plenty of washing to do, washing machine and tumble drier been going a good few hours now...and then there is the ironing.

I can’t get on the red place, something about my updating email, then saying try later, so gave up.🥴

Just had lunch, I made the summer wrap, it was very nice and a banana.😁

Hiya Moogle, hope day going well? I knew we'd be settling on a little branch somewhere after yesterday's trauma - Teflon Tits was instantly memorable (ha!) so I did a little search and up you popped. I've managed to join the coloured one but can only find shitty references to mc from about 6 months ago, and I don't get how it works - is it some sort of popularity contest?? 🤔 Felt exhausted afterwards so not for me but it's as though we're hiding behind enemy lines here so not having a 'comfy' day. Off to pick grandson up later - he's year 8 and is doing online grooming and dick pics today so I'm in for a treat of a chat on the way home.

I'm busy catching up on what the restrictions are. Not that we will know until 6pm when No 10 brief us.

Nessa- it is hard keeping up over on the primary colour site. The reply feature is useful. I don't mind reading it though.

Liverpool is going to be up in arms later if the restrictions hit them the hardest - much talk on the CV section.
