Good afternoon, Clunkers!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Veteran Clunkers welcome. Anyone else who wants to join in the chat - sense of humour essential! - welcome.

I think it already has been. I've been logged out, the site doesn't recognise my log in details, and everyone on the threads is showing as a 'Guest' rather than 'Well Known Member' or whatever.

Yes I had this and had tried posting on a thread (just a test post) and wondered if that resulted in me being banned but looks like it's site wide. What a strange two days it's been!

My 'hmmm' was at seeing 'This post has been hidden until the MNHQ team can have a look at it'.

I feel life is rather drab in comparison. Like an excursion from the former East Germany into the bright lights of Berlin/ West Germany and back again.

Evening, everyone, too many new names for my tired brain 🙂 but I am so glad to see each and every one of you. Stay with us and we will get through this together.

Tooold is on the red place. Tomorrow, I will do a quick recce and see where we are up to and then I will look for a few more waifs and strays.

It has been a difficult couple of days but for now, let's just try and get back some semblance of normality. We don't want to be losing anyone else at this stage. Easy does it now.

The more we just chat and laugh, as we always did, about life and recipes and the weather, the sooner anyone else will lose interest in us. And that's suits me just fine.

Try and get some sleep. Tomorrow is a new day. Night all.

Toooldtobearsed. I can't remember if she ever shared what her name here was. She posted on admin's farewell thread asking if people were gathering anywhere but I couldn't pm her

Just spotted the odd admin message, etc. It doesn't really make sense. It's almost as though there has been a concerted effort from lots of sides to give women less places to post (especially gc women). I'm feeling very disillusioned about it all.

Morning, that small light is just right. I've been beating myself with a small lavatory brush by browsing the old site and reliving memories. Repeat after me: not a good thing to do. Have taken meds now waiting for first cup of tea. Dentist later, first time for a year. Happy waking-up time fellow Clunkers.
