Good afternoon, Clunkers!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Evening! Just found you all Hope I can join in. My name over by sounded like a police siren. I lurked on your thread but usually didn't get to see it until later in the day. Sounded as though I missed a great breakfast every morning.

NessaJnr actually put a pizza in the oven tonight . I haven't been doing much although I did work this morning handing over stuff, slept this afternoon.

Tweed sofas, I must advise that I'm oddly matching ... get this, natural colour tweed sofa, knitted burgundy jumper dress, checked natural, green and burgundy wool tweed blanket, burgundy and green cushions trimmed with natural binding.

When I looked down earlier (fell asleep watching BoJo in the commons) I blended into my soft furnishings .

Well, I'm non the wiser after the briefing as my DH has been nattering me all day. Clearly back to normal then.

Nessy I love tweed, df used to have some fabulous tweed suits made.

Even when Nessa isn't feeling the best she's still managing to colour coordinate. It's a bit like where's Wally, only it's where's Nessa amongst the furnishings 😬
It's so sad that the other place was pulled so quickly and that people aren't able to contact others they'd like to keep in touch with.

I think the rules are tricky for people to interpret at present. A family member lives somewhere with additional restriction and the BBC webpage says

You must not mix with people you do not live with in a private home or garden, either inside or outside your area. You are advised not to mix with people you do not live with at any indoors or outdoors public venue, including cafes, pubs, shops and parks. Households in a bubble can still visit each other, stay overnight, and visit public places together.

I think that bold bit has changed, but you could still go on holiday from Newcastle to Norfolk where there are very few cases and take it with you.

😂😂😂 It was getting its revenge for getting deballed. Gives a whole new meaning to tweeding.

I love tweed, there was a programme on it the other day, I couldn’t believe the amount of work that goes into it, it was fascinating to watch.

I would love a tweed comfy armchair, just for me only.

Yes it could have been wound down better, but when you're on the receiving end of what I have been I think many others would have also thought sod it, I'm not dealing with all this anymore. Not wasting any more of my time or money.
