I have giggled under my breath every time I’ve had to file something away today. Sometimes there’s not much room and you really have to give things a bit of a hard push so I reckon HBFs would be excellent at that.

Not only has DS2’s year finished early for half term, they’ve now been told they have to self-isolate until they go back to school. He’s a bit gutted at missing swimming but I suppose there’s not a great deal of places we could have gone. We have a garden he can play in —if it stops raining—. Hopefully the person/people who have tested positive are okay. And I really don’t envy the school at having to co-ordinate all this and sending work out, etc.

Fräsan pooped again, I've been a bit worried but she seems to be on a 3 days poop cycle.

Glad DD is feeling better Fancy and that you feel better soon.

What you need Fancy is a Dr to check you over - thorough examination and all that. Then some bed 'rest'

Weather is mostly chilly with mostly blue skies. And an unusually large number of planes trying to create a game of noughts and crosses in the sky. (Maybe they always do on Saturday, I just try to avoid being up at this time normally.)

It is the new one Helen. Not sure if I’ve read the book. If I did, it was 100 years ago and I’ve forgotten it so I’m enjoying the film. There are some beautiful clothes and sets . I’ve seen films of books I’ve read more recently though and yes, it’s annoying when ^it’s just not right*.

Oh, how pretty Helen. They really annoy me in the summer when I'm trying to get some sun.

Today we have nearly ordered a new stair carpet - thrilling stuff. (We looked at a couple of carpets and are going to be sent quotes.) Replacing the stair carpet was one of our priorities when we moved here... more than 10 years ago. It's amazing how many 'priorities' haven't been sorted out

We’re similar with the flooring in the hall Helen. Keep saying we’ll sort it. Still the same as when we moved in.

Seems to be sunny out of one window but dreary and rainy out of another. Don’t think I shall venture far today. As DS2 can’t go to either of his sportingactivities today, DH is taking the opportunity for a well-deserved lie in.

Today’s plan consists of lounging around with HBFs, or in reality washing, ironing and possibly some knitting.

Morning all. I've put a towels wash on, because it was lovely and sunny. It is now not so sunny.

I am also making panckaes because DH and DS are out I can. The first one tastes a bit odd since I just wipes the pan out, and there are hints of their egg and bacon fry-up along with my lemon and sugar. Also, my pancake batter seems to have something wrong with it, because they're soggy and not flipping very well. Still, they taste good

Hope that Fancy is still feeling better...

Washing machine has been beeping away so I suppose i should get off the settee and empty it. Perhaps another pancake first...

My batter is definitely too runny . I bet I forgot to zero the scales when I put the sieve on. I probably got abut 1/2 to 1/3 of the flour I needed. oops. I've added some in to the last pancake.

Also, I remembered that the clocks went back!!! at 6:30am Still, at least it gave me a chance to stop DH's alarm going off so he got a bit more sleep, and the cats got fed at their usual time. And I went back to bed too, and there are just two house clocks left to alter, both of which need a Phd

(Still too runny. Oh well)
