Ordered some stuff online today. I’ve thought about writing Christmas cards. Perhaps I’ll make a start tomorrow when I get home after my early finish.

Evening. Headache stayed away for the rest of the day, fortunately, but I'm a bit knackered. Work was solid calls/meetings all morning, then lunch and then not much time to get a lot done really, but I knocked a couple of things off my list so that was ok. Had to pick some random days to take off as well, to use up annual leave.

Can't believe it's almost only two weeks until Christmas. And three weeks to the new year Can't wait for this year to be over though.

Also had another email from school. Some of DS2‘s year, including him, don’t need to isolate further and can go back to school tomorrow! Hurrah!

Working at home today, which is good as I'm feeling knackered & have period pain - yes wenches, it's that time already, biannual period has arrived Still, timing could be worse.

Started the morning by removing an all but decapitated rat from the patio. Oh the glamour.

Took DH's car in for service this morning and collected it this afternoon. Went to a local card shop on the way back from the garage this morning to get the cards I didn't get in town the other day - closed. Went again this afternoon - she was locking up. She said you can come in if you're quick. I need 5 cards, and I don't do quick when buying cards. I declined. To be fair she'd got to collect her daughter from school, but it's just been one of those days.

On the plus side, I've written a load of cards.

My mum went to buy her cards a bit ago but dad was sitting on one of the benches outside the shop, waiting for her. She said she couldn’t cope with the pressure of feeling rushed so next time they went into town she made sure he was equipped with a takeaway tea and a paper

Work still seems to be massively full on, hoping it won't be quite so manic after next Friday, but I'm probably kidding myself

at rats. My former cat Corinne, a very high maintenance posh Exotic started catching mice indoors and didn't know what to do with them. The furst one she released near my sofa bed but another one I heard a screeching sound in the middle of the night, got up and found blood all over the kitchen floor, a dead mouse and a very proud looking Corinne
