All my cards are mostly the same design, so I don't think about who gets what card design, unless I really like them - and even then it's just a choice to two. I've rather lost the will to live, and I'm very good at faking DH's name now

Whoop for household works LetUs. We need a new roof. We've got a cloth and bucket sat under a drip Also the radiators aren't heating up properly, but it's not air because the cold would be at the top if it was, or something.

I listened to the BBC radio dramatised version of it recently. Much better than the tv one.

New kitchen sink is in and it looks rather fabulous. Can’t do any washing up for 24 hours though while the sealant dries. Shame . Old radiator is off so DH is painting the bathroom and then plumber will come back in a couple of days to fit the new one.

Went into town to get some Christmas bits and pieces and also some make up. Checked stock before I went - one item in stock, one not but thought it’d be worth a look. The in stock item wasn’t there, the out of stock was, but there were no free gifts left (buy two things get a free gift) anyway. Aaarrrggghhh. I could order online but the powder blusher has arrived broken when I’ve done that. First world problems and all that.

Going to do some knitting and then go out to deliver some Christmas cards. Trying to persuade DS1 to go with me so he and my mum and dad can wave at each other.

Afternoon. I have had a mega-lie in and been a hive of activity since then. (washing, tidying, working, etc) DH and DS are off getting covid shopping. I shall go covid hunting shopping tomorrow.

Evening. They're still working in the road, in the dark. They usually finish at 3.30 so I think they're trying to get it done today. They're laying 5G cable apparently. Very noisy. Good job we don't need to go out because our drive is closed off.

Anyway, I went to the PO and it was shut early. FFS. Fortunately, the one in the next village was more reliable, so Parcel No.1 got posted. I also picked up some bits and pieces for Parcel No.2 But now I can't find my shopping list of things I need to get still, for presents. FFS at own disorganisation.

Currently at SundayMorningSportingActivity, waiting for the shops to open so I can go and pick up covid the last xmas presents (hopefully!) Planning to make the cake this afternoon. DH wants to make it actually

Managed a bit of a lie in. Rain rain rain here. Trying to get DS1 to tag along with card deliveries so he can wave at my mum and dad. He’s still in bed though. And I wanted to get the ironing done first but I’ve been —pissing about online— busy doing other things. I keep making lists for stuff still to get and then making new ones as I cross things off. Surely the lists should be getting shorter?

Have been in the garden, and it's a bit parky. It felt roasting indoors when I got back it - it's 19 degrees. All things are relative...

DH making the cake is fine, but he always says he 'doesn't bake' so I make the cake (despite not eating it), so I'm a bit about why he's got this urge to make the cake. If we try to do it together, it will probably end with us being grouchy with each other because I'm an impatient cow and he won't do it the right way. If I do it by myself he'll grouch because he wanted to. If I let him get on with it, then whatever I'm doing instead will be subject to constant interruptions and questions (whose answers will all be "Well what does the recipe say?") I think I'll just stay in the hayloft.
