Morning. It's grey, cloudy, meh. On the plus side, it's not raining or frosty. Just, meh.

No wildlife to report this morning, but we did see about 60 swans flying over yesterday, so that will have to do. Not Mutes, possibly Bewicks or maybe Whoopers.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/11/2020 08:13

LOL - at Apricot-in-disguise and The Strategic Mirror - isn't that part of the 'Dark Materials' set? Grin
for yesterday though LetUs - hope you feel better today.

ApricotCrush · 30/11/2020 16:47

Afternoon.

Grin at Athos and hot sex.

Yes, WW the Mini Cooper is one of the range. The blue one went back on the transporter, it was just the SUV that came off. I don't know about the MerryWidow but the five-car family are certainly very wealthy. They were on Rich House, Poor House so they don't care who knows. They're a nice family, they work very hard and they take care of the street moggie.

Wow, I bet those swans looked amazing.

Hope everyone's had a good day.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 30/11/2020 17:44

Well if they look after the local moggy they must be good people apricot Grin not that I'm a biased cat lover......

Wildlife has mostly been a lot of small birds on the feeder again - with the old prescription lenses in I think they were Great Tits. Big fat ones. But then that explains why the seed feeder is so empty Grin Oh we did see a skylark today. And heard him.

Have passed a relaxed day - FancyMan came over & we had a short walk & a leisurely lunch. And remarked that it is only 3 weeks until the shortest day, yay!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/11/2020 18:45

Star at taking care of the street moggie.

I'm having Wine, it's been that kind of day.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/11/2020 18:47

Oh, and the dishwasher I ordered were supposed to be in stock again now but ut's been delayed two months so I cancelled the order. I'm not waiting that long.

LetUsPrey · 30/11/2020 19:25

Evening wenches.

School was fine for DS2, considering yesterday he said he didn’t want to go which thankfully seemed to wear off, and as I said all was okay.

Agree if they look after Street Moggie, then there must be something decent about them.

at Strategic Mirror being part of HDM Grin. There was a lot of shouting at the TV last night when we were watching HDM.

Sounds a super day Fancy. Hurrah for a three week countdown to shortest day!

Pfft at waiting two months for a dishwasher Wicked. Have another Wine

Rain allllllll day and quite windy at one point. Got all jobs done I wanted to do and spent the rest of the day relaxing.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/11/2020 20:09

Evening. It's started lashing against the window raining here as well. Roll on shortest day (though only because that means that the days get longer again - not because I enjoy the days being shorter Hmm )

Glad that MiniLetUs had a good day at school, and hurrah for rich, hardworking, moggie-friendly neighbours. (As long as they don't clog up the road with extraneous cars.)

That sounds like a really nice day Fancy, and an annoying one for Wicked - FFS at dishwasher delays. Did you find another one yet?

re. the swans - to be fair they just looked like a decent-sized skein of rather large geese, making odd noises. But yes, it was quite cool. Smile

FancyFancy · 30/11/2020 20:26

Boo to the dishwasher ww. I will join you in a vodka later Smile

That's why I'm looking forward to the shortest day helen - that & apricot's reminder about it getting darker in the mornings(?) until some time later - such a satisfying nerdy fact. Last winter I found a great website for sunrise & sunset data - every day I checked in to see how much longer the day was

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2020 07:28

It has been sleeting this morning Shock [horror] Happy December Hmm

I was in bed before DS last night - he turned out my bedroom light and told me to go to sleep Grin Feeling a bit less knackered this morning, but it's not even half past seven, so I've got the whole day ahead of me of get tired in.

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2020 07:32

Morning wenches.

Very frosty here. I can hear car windscreens being scraped.

So December then. Everywench ready for Christmas? No, me neither. Here’s hoping for HBFs sliding down our chimneys

Trying to sort my hair out. It’s all gone a bit Farrah Fawcett but only on one side.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2020 08:20

I remembered to get the advent calendar out this morning, before DS got up. That's the extent of my preparations. Hmm Oh - and I stuck some solar lights out to charge up in the sun (it has just come out - all gold. For about 5 minutes before it gets covered by the next bank of clouds.)

Yes please to HBF/chimney combination though. Grin

ApricotCrush · 01/12/2020 16:57

Afternoon/evening. Nice day here, but cold.

Hope you're able to sort out a dishwasher WW.

Yay for shortest day Fancy. Is this the website you mean? I follow it every year, although it may be a bit different where you are. The days start getting lighter from 15th, but as you say, the mornings continue to get darker.

Grin at Farah Fawcett hair LetUs. Nope, nothing done yet, although I do have the Christmas cards on the desk waiting for me to make a start. Hmm

Aww at DS looking after you Helen.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 01/12/2020 20:19

Evening wenches.

Work can fuuuuuuuccckkkkkk offffffffffff.

Bet the solar lights will look pretty.

Managed to sort my hair which lasted for about 30 minutes. Hurrah for nights getting lighter from the 15th!

I’ve started my jigsaw advent calendar.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2020 20:57

Evening. I have been building my new chair. I think this qualifies me for a PhD in engineering Grin Solar lights are not operational. I'm wondering if there's a switch at the back that I should have turned on Hmm

Will look at them tomorrow.

Oh lord - Christmas cards. I hadn't even thought about them Sad

Are you getting a mini-jigsaw every day LetUs?

LetUsPrey · 01/12/2020 21:59

Oooooo at new chair! Is it very comfortable?

There’s a little bag of jigsaw pieces behind each door and it makes one big 500 piece jigsaw.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/12/2020 23:25

Yep Grin Though proof of the pudding will be sitting in it all day tomorrow...

LetUsPrey · 02/12/2020 07:51

Morning wenches.

Daaaarrrrrkkk and rainy. No frost though so hurrah for that.

Here’s to new chairs being comfy all day as well as spinny. Don’t spin all day though. That’s probably not recommended.

I should get on with breakfast.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/12/2020 08:18

Not dark now. Livestock all fed.

It was our turn for the frost this morning LetUs Grin

Have a good day all. If work gets too boring, I recommend spinning around on your chair, announcing that you feel a bit dodgy, and then taking the rest of the day off... Grin

ApricotCrush · 02/12/2020 16:53

Afternoon although it feels like evening.

I had a bad night so went back to sleep for an hour when DH went to golf yay and then woke up with a headache. It's gone now but I had planned to do so much and didn't. Oh well. Hmm

Hurrah for new spinny chair and jigsaw advent calendar.

Just heard about the vaccine, are you going to get vaccinated?

LetUsPrey · 02/12/2020 20:35

Evening wenches.

You know when someone you work with gets a bit busier than they usually are (which isn’t bloody much in the first place) and then they start asking others to just help out and bleating on about teamwork, but when they’re asked to help out they’re nowhere to be found? Yeah, that. FFAS fuck off.

How was the chair for comfort after a day Helen? Are you over the dizziness? Grin

Apricot. Hope you have a better night tonight.

I’ll be getting the vaccine Wicked, although I’ve no idea when it gets to my turn. Months and months I would think, which is fair enough.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/12/2020 20:45

Oh FFS MN - it just lost my bloody post.

for Apricot (and paracetamol, just in case)

I have spent today wading through emails and reports. Whoop! Hmm Not terribly exciting. But at least I don't have fuckwit colleagues shirking their workload and not helping with anyone else's.

I have no idea when the vaccine will be available, though I checked google and foudn that at my next borthday, I'll jump up an age category and land and no.9 on the priority list. So yay for getting older Hmm There's an interesting article about the vaccine here theconversation.com/less-than-a-year-to-develop-a-covid-vaccine-heres-why-you-shouldnt-be-alarmed-150414? and how the usual development timescale is mostly taken up with paperwork and trying to get funding.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/12/2020 21:16

Meanwhile one of my aunts is posting on FB about microchips in the vaccine Hmm Some of my relatives are a bit special, I have another aunt who think she's Nefertiti reincarnated Hmm
So I'm quite normal compared to them Smile

LetUsPrey · 03/12/2020 07:53

Morning wenches.

Shirking - yes, that’s exactly what that person is doing Helen. Also, can’t believe you’re jumping up an age category next birthday!

It’s always a bit of an ohhhhh moment when you look around your family and realise you’re the normal one Wicked Grin

It’s dark. There may be wildlife in the form of birds but it’s dark and I’m not looking outside.

Hope you had a better night Apricot.
