Evening.

I do that too LetUs - leave DS' clothes hanging round for years a short time before passing them on. We're really lucky that my nephew is a couple of years older, so by the time SIL gets round to passing stuff on, it fits DS. Also fortunate that DS really doesn't care much what he wears and has no problems with hand-me--downs.

FFS re. spoiling vodka with vanilla, and self isolating DS2 Sad

Today I have been out on the bike - which had a rapidly deflating tyre (FFS) and also clearing out cupboards for DF. Which took up much more of the day than planned (cupboard-clearing wasn't planned at all. So although it's been productive, my list of HBFs things to do has not got much smaller. Still, tomorrow is another day, and all that. #ScarlettOHara

Fingers crossed for the bintervention Fancy, and fingers massaging for Apricot's back.

I don't think we're watching Dark Materials tonight - DS borrowed a video he borrowed a DVD, ad wants to watch it tonight. I think it's going to be a later-than-planned night...

LetUsPrey · 08/11/2020 20:32

at flowers Grin

I’ll take over with Lucifer Apricot. I’ve realised DS2 will be working upstairs tomorrow so I can watch it.

His Dark Materials will be later this evening.

Much of what DS2 wears is also hand me downs vintage.

Enjoy the DVD. I’m just watching the end of Finding Nemo, then we’re doing Trivial Pursuit again.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/11/2020 22:35

We DVD'd. It was ok - DS enjoyed it anyway, but even he was Hmm at the predictability of it all. Never mind... Nearly time for the hayloft.

LetUsPrey · 08/11/2020 22:41

What DVD was it Helen?

We’ve watched His Dark Materials. DH wants to watch the Cornwall programme too, so I shall have to practice keeping a straight face/not drooling particularly when Simon’s in his wetsuit or just generally being hot.

I should also head to the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2020 07:50

Morning. It's overcast and damp today.

The DVD was 'The Maze Runner'. Entertaining enough, but it felt very predictable and generic. meh. Apparently there are another two films in the series.

This morning I have brought Small up to the house again because her crop is getting too big, again. So she's away from the food in the hope that will get her to empty the crop before stuffing it full again. And I'll have to put the support back on her too. Joy.

Who won Trivial Pursuit?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2020 07:54

Alos, on schools and covid - I've just seen a FB message last night from a local school at 10pm telling parents not to send in a specific year due to a positive case. Wonder how many of that year will turn up because they didn't see the message. Though I hope they'd have sent out texts and emails as well. But still - an alert at 10pm on Sunday night Confused

Could you shuffle some of your Mondays off into the next couple of weeks LetUs - so DS2 isn't home alone for so long?

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2020 08:10

Morning wenches.

Yes, we’ve seen that and I know exactly what you mean. Didn’t bother with the next ones.

Poor Small. Hope she’s better soon. At least she’ll look good in her bra.

DS2 won although he was on the children’s questions. We get a text alert from school, and an email, and they put something on the homework system. I hope, as you say, that other school did similar. Thought about trying to move days around but then realised other support staff have leave booked already so It’ll be fine. It’ll alllllllll fine.

Have progressing from slightly weird unsettling dreams to full on nightmare involving a serial killer who climbed in through open windows to attack. So that was nice.

Anyway, opticians, physio, and ironing today.

ApricotCrush · 09/11/2020 16:44

Afternoon. Nice day today, quite warm although it's raining now. We went a walk round the gardens of the National Trust property up the road which we haven't done before despite living here for 35 years. Shock We've been round the house a few times though.

Oh poor Small, hope she's alright.

Did you say Only God Forgives is on tonight Helen. Word of warning, it's a lot bit violent.

We watched the Cornwall programme last night which was good LetUs. Your Simon is nice, but nah, you can have him all to yourself.

Went to sleep during His Dark Materials, so will have to try again tonight.

Evening wenches.

DS2 has done quite well today. He got a bit behind but he’ll soon get into the swing of things. DH has managed to get a day off this week and next.

I’ve ordered new reading glasses and then went to new physio. New physio is much better than previous physio who was good but this one’s better. Ironing done and now I’m watching Poirot.

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2020 17:07

Thats good that you had that walk while it was still nice Apricot.

I am more than happy to keep the lovely Simon all to myself Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2020 18:23

That's a well productive day there then LetUs. I have not done much. though I do have a sniff of a new freelance job at last.

Sounds like a nice walk Apricot - we've had clouds and drizzly rain all day, so I have not been inspired to go out more than necessary.

Small is now modelling her old sock designer crop support again.

Where's Wicked? has she drowned in a vat of soup?

In twitter news, apparently TB is in the new series of The Crown as a friend of Princess Margaret. I still don't have netflix, and am not keen on wading though the whole series for the odd glimpse of the FAF.

In 'me' news, I had a cyst removed last week and the stitches are now starting to enter the 'itchy as a very-itchy-thing' stage.

FancyFancy · 09/11/2020 18:43

Evening, spent last night and today at FancyMan's as ex was here. Had a nice lie in and then went for a walk before it rained so that was nice. Then got back to his for lunch and heard the vaccine news. A promising vaccine and Trump on the way out - do good things come in threes? Personally, have the finances sorted with ex, so maybe that's my third?

A less selfish good thing - Boris resigns? No Brexit? The return of The Musketeers? Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/11/2020 20:02

Why is it only 7:45? It feels like at least 9pm.

At least it's 8pm now... time flies.

We watched Dark Materials, which was good.

No Brexit would be good Fancy

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2020 20:59

Hope the former cyst area soon feels soothed Helen.

That sounds a rather lovely time Fancy. Hurrah for sorted finances!

I’d agree with Helen re the third good thing. Orrrrrr each wench is blessed with a visit from an HBF of her choice.

Apparently we’ve had support staff test Covid positive so they’re off and a couple of others are now isolating. Oh dear. Perhaps this will bring home our stretched staffing levels. Hahahahahahaha I made a joke.

I think we’re going to watch Cornwall.

FancyFancy · 09/11/2020 21:36

Fingers crossed for Small & your stitched helen - maybe try distraction techniques? I'm sure you can think of a few distractions?

LetUsPrey · 09/11/2020 23:08

Very skilful illustrating there Fancy. I shall join in.

We have watched Cornwall. I’d even tolerate camping in an actual tent in the rain with him.

Hayloft for me.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2020 07:23

Morning all. It is dark and damp and we woke up to a powercut. It came back on once I had lit two candles (magic!) Small had to be re-fitted for her bra this morning, having got two of the ties undone overnight Confused

LOL at wench sacrifices for FAF - camping in an actual tent in the rain Grin

Also at the idea of LetUs work realising that they're understaffed. Can they not send you home for two weeks LetUs - that would be helpful!

Nope. Back to the hayloft I think. Recommend that all wenches spend the day under a duvet with the HBF(s) of their choice.

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2020 07:49

Morning wenches.

Damp and dreary here too.

A wench has to do what a wench has to do. We’re so dedicated and selfless.

There’s two chances of me being allowed to be at home (whilst reception remains open) and they are none and fuck all sadly.

I think you’re spot on with the back to the hayloft plan Helen.

FancyFancy · 10/11/2020 13:44

letus you are so dedicated Grin

ApricotCrush · 10/11/2020 17:26

Afternoon. Nice day here, I've been attacking pruning the wisteria as it's garden bin day tomorrow. It's easier to cut off the branches than waiting for the leaves to fall and getting them up off the ground.

I read that about TB Helen. Apparently he's dancing with Helena Bonham Carter. Shock I know he learned to tango, but that will be a sight to see, although I won't be watching it either.

Hope you've stopped itching and Small is coping with her bra.

Yay for DH getting days off LetUs, and nice lie in for Fancy.

Do we need to send a search party out for WW?

I'm alive, just tired. It's so dark outside Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/11/2020 19:05

Small keeps getting out of her bra. Hmm Chicken Lib! Burn the bar! Hmm

Glad to hear that Wicked is still alive.

I've been in the garden too Apricot - general tidying and stuff. It's all very wet underfoot. Oh, and was doing horse chores with ChildhoodFriend this morning, which was fun.

Hope that Fancy and LetUs had good days at work.

LetUsPrey · 10/11/2020 19:14

Evening wenches.

I’m tiiiiiiirrrreeeedddddd. More positive tests coming through. More people being sent home to isolate.

Wench dedication Fancy. It’s the Wench Way Grin

Star for the gardening Apricot.

Grin at ChickenLib and hurrah for horse chores

It’s not nice is it Wicked?
