at doing some one thing useful and also - yes. Plot. Very important stuff. It lets you understand how the different FAF relate to each other in whatever you're watching. Also costumes need careful attention, so you can work out the best way to get them off.

I have been out and done shopping, and also sorted out conflicting emails/texts telling me that I do/not have an appointment in the current lockdown. It's all good fun.

My plan for Monday of physio then home to watch Lucifer have been scuppered by an email from school saying DS2’s year have to self isolate from now and not to go to school on Monday. We’ll find out on Monday who can go in. I totally understand the reasons but aarrgghh at him missing more school, despite the teachers’ best efforts at providing work.

New Simon Reeve programme tomorrow about Cornwall. quite excited about that. I mean, so that will be a very interesting and informative programme and I’ll learn lots about Cornwall —and I’ve seen the trailer where Simon goes surfing in his wetsuit—. Education! Learning stuff!

We're got sunshine here, so the washing I left out last night to be darked on has gone from drenched in dew, to nearly dry. and I've put two half-loads through the machine this morning. (Control your excitement everyone!) I did think it was meant to be cloudier than this.

In other less cheerful news, something is scuttling about in the loft this morning. Will have to get up there with traps and poison. Le sigh....

Am impressed by your industriousness Helen. I’ve tidied the coats up that DS2 has grown out of by a couple of years and looked in the loft for the next winter one for him. Mysteriously, there are no coats in the boxes of clothes. At least not in the two that DH checked. Hmm I may have to go up there myself. Although going off the activity in Helen’s loft , I’m not so keen.

DS2 is doing homework, DH is cooking and I’m knitting. FaceTimed DS1 about an hour ago and I’m now trying not to be worried at how tired he looked.

New His Dark Materials tonight, as well as the new Simon Reeve programme.

Just found out all DS2’s year to self isolate until end of Friday 20th November. I know he’s nearly 14 but I’m not overly thrilled about him being at home on his own all day for two weeks (except for Mondays). Can’t be helped though. And I also know the situation is shit for lots of people but I can still be pissed off about this and for him.

And just to add insult to injury, I poured myself a vodka and coke using a vodka miniature that was at the front of the cupboard, took a sip of it and realised it was vanilla vodka. Whhhyyyyyyyy whhhyyyyyyyyyy?????
