Am continuing with Appointment With Death. It’s set in 1935 or 1937 and they’re on an archaeological dig in Syria. I think it must have been fascinating to be around then, having the money of course, and to be experiencing that sort of thing.

Couching sounds like a very nice idea Wicked - I'd stick with that if I were you. I think couching involves being snuggled on a sofa with your choice(s) of big fleecy blankets/HBFs/cats/lights&fluffy TV/hot drinks/wenches.

Coughing on the other hand - nah - I'd not bother with that. Hope it goes away quickly.

We watched Mock the Week last night and then I went to bed.

Weather is all misty and pastel colours this morning, with feathery clouds and blue sky, and sun glinting off planes. And also cold. Wildlife report - one dunnock sitting on the bird table waiting for me to give it some food.

Busy day at work and somewhat frustrating - repeating a whole bunch of work that I'd already done once, because someone updated the wrong version of a document. Which meant that I didn't get everything done that I wanted to. On the plus side, I did get out for a bike ride, which was nice since the day was lovely. (The effort involved in the bike ride was less lovely - far too much like hard work.)

US election is looking like we can start breathing again for the result, at least.

Watching Graham Norton, Stephen Mangan is on it, I think he's charming, he has this geeky hotness about him. Phwooaar

I do sometimes think we have some of the same colleagues Helen. You should be feeling —Athos— very virtuous having done a bike ride.
