Afternoon. Nice day here. Did a few more jobs that needed doing this morning before everywhere closes.

Yay for extended self-employed scheme Fancy.

Hope Small is coping with her lingerie problems, poor thing. Sad That chicken in the glasses looks terrifying.

Also hope that MiniLetUs gets his work done.

Evening all.

I've been doing stuff today - posting stuff and charity-shopping stuff and buying stuff. So. Stuff. The 'dry' day didn't last long - the heavens opened. Then it cleared over. So the washing was hung out, though it didn't dry. I think I may be boring myself...

LetUsPrey · 03/11/2020 20:44

Evening wenches.

What a miserable bloody day. Dark and rainy alllll day.

Helen how’s Small?

DS2 did really well. He hadn’t submitted anything which he should have done really and he hadn’t done one subject at all so I’ve had to help him with that when I got home. But, given the difficulties he has with schoolwork, I’m really proud of him.

Went to a new physio after work who, even after a very brief initial assessment, put me at ease. The more recent one was very good at the physio but I didn’t really warm to him.

Well done to miniLetUs Star and what a relief for you LetUs

Small seems fine now thanks [snile] I'll check her over tomorrow morning. It might be a rather tedious case of having to try and monitor what she eats, but fingers crossed. I stuck her back in the run when it started raining, so she had some shelter but wasn't actually in with the others, and then when we let them all out they scratched around quite happily.

LetUsPrey · 03/11/2020 22:31

Thanks Helen. Definitely relieved and hopefully it’s given his confidence a boost.

Good news re Small.

I’m knackered so am heading to the hayloft.

FancyFancy · 03/11/2020 23:25

Fingers crossed for Small helen

Glad DS2 had a productive day letus, even if perfection wasn't achieved it sounds like he got quite a bit done.

Am watching the Vuelta - am a bit behind but enjoying the scenery.

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2020 06:58

Morning wenches. Completely shit night’s sleep.

It’s good that you’re enjoying the scenery of the Vuelta Fancy. It’s usually restful to enjoy scenery. Is that the effect it’s having? Grin

I’d better get up soon

Here’s to another good day for Small.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2020 07:45

Morning all. Sunny and... a ground frost Shock Brrr. But still - sunny, so let's hang on to that positive.

Wildlife report from the garden - a couple of geese flying overhead, and a magpie auditioning for the part of 'weather vane' at the top of a tree. Small also seems fine this morning, so I've left them all to it as far as scratching around for food goes. I'll go out and prod her later, when it's not so cold.

and Brew for LetUs You'd best stay in bed and let the HBFs look after you. And I expect you're right - it's the scenery that Fancy is enjoying. And probably the poetic commentary as well. She's cultured, is Fancy. It won't be the thighs. Nope. Grin

FancyFancy · 04/11/2020 13:01

Well it's certainly not the arms I'm watching Grin

Lovely & sunny here too, but chilly.

I tried to be very disciplined last night & not stay up for any election results & then DS messaged me to ask if I was staying up, so we had a brief chat.

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2020 17:07

Evening wenches.

It was jolly chilly this morning and then it threw it down just as I parked up for work.

Fancy will simply be admiring the athleticism and marvelling at the stamina.

I’ve just remembered I was supposed to make DS2’s dinner a bit earlier. Got involved in a Poirot instead. Whoops.

ApricotCrush · 04/11/2020 17:16

Afternoon. Lovely morning, but very cold, we had a frost too. Rain this afternoon, but managed to get a washload done.

Glad Small is feeling better, Fancy is enjoying the scenery and Star for MiniLetus.

That's it really.

That sounds quite a relaxing day Apricot

Forgot to say, I downloaded The Magus and started listening to it on the way home. Every time TB mentioned kissing or sexy things, I thought of wenches. I bet TB was too Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2020 20:53

I'm sure he thinks of nothing else LetUs Hmm Grin

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2020 22:03

Wenches are his main motivation Helen. It’s what gets him up in the morning Grin

Started another Poirot before but we’re watching Prodigal Son now.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/11/2020 22:52

I am sewing, because, despite how I might like to fool myself, just because I've started doing something, it doesn't mean that it's done - I do have to actually finish stuff for it to be done. I'm listening to a Douglas Adams Memorial Lecture on YouTube because there's not much on TV and who wants to look at the news Confused

DH has just got home and talked over the lecture - FFS. I will go to the hayloft and finish it later. (Obvs, Athos is always welcome to interrupt.)

LetUsPrey · 04/11/2020 23:08

That lecture sounds like something I’d like. Good knitting accompaniment at the weekend perhaps.

I should also head to the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2020 07:25

Morning. It's clear, sunny, and frosty again. 'Summer of 69' was playing on the radio while I was washing up brakfast and DS walked off with the parting comment of "That was 51 years ago" Oh well... Though, coincidentally, I saw a friend yesterday and we were being bemused about being very nearly that old Confused in a 'How did that happen?!' sort of way.

The lecture is at - there's a fair bit of waffle and adverts to skip before you get to the main bit, but I'm enjoying it.

This morning I will be mostly up a ladder with DF looking at a leaky ceiling.

LetUsPrey · 05/11/2020 07:41

Morning wenches.

Thanks for the link Helen. It’s like when I ask the Echo for songs from say 30 years ago and then I’m thinking no surely that was only released in the late 80s/early 90s and then I realise that was 30 years ago.

Careful up that ladder.

It’s just blah here. DH’s gym has closed for lockdown so I have the pleasure of his company in the morning.

FancyFancy · 05/11/2020 13:57

Afternoon.

Still in the office.....looking out at the sunshine.
Am spending altogether too much time looking at the BBC website hoping for confirmation that the giant orange Wotsit is on the way out.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/11/2020 16:31

Afternoon, am on the sofa looking at the sunset. Well - not really - the window faces East. But I'm watching it go darker.

This morning was a fun mix of ladders and scaffolding. All fixed though, so that's good. And I posted more ebay stuff. #Productive.

I'm trying to avoid the news, since I'm cautiously hopeful and don't want to be crushingly disappointed if the numbers change.

ApricotCrush · 05/11/2020 16:50

Afternoon. Cloudy but quite pleasant here. We went a walk round the area earlier which was nice.

Oh, Summer of '69, I remember it well, both the song and the actual year, although apparently Bryan Adams wasn't thinking about the year when he wrote it. Shock

Well done on the eBaying Helen. Don't worry too much about the news, but I think the aftermath will be fun. Hmm I've never known a country so divided, oh wait...
