Morning wenches.

Hope MiniHelen’s trainers have dried.

I am imagining wenches at dinosaur mini golf Grin

Need to get some greenhouse glass —again— as some panes have mysteriously broken —following collision with DC’s football—. However, have received notification that a parcel is being delivered today between 8 and 6 and it needs a signature. Hoping it arrives this morning but if not, I’ll have to wait until DS1 decides to get up. Gosh, such problems.

How’s the rash today Wicked? Hope it’s settled down,

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/08/2020 09:45

Morning. Sunny here this morning - DS' trainers out out in the sun drying...

What's the parcel? How exciting...!

LetUsPrey · 07/08/2020 09:52

It’s a games controller that I sent off to the manufacturer for repair. Nothing exciting but it’s in DS2’s interests to look out for the van if I’m not in the room so at least he’ll be paying attention to something other than a football game Grin

Thanks for the glass. I’ve suggested to DH he looks for an alternative other than glass for the greenhouse - there must be one.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/08/2020 12:17

You can get perspex, but it tends to discolour and go brittle...

FancyFancy · 07/08/2020 13:57

Afternoon
Back in the peace & quiet of the office Grin

Some people report upset stomachs & rashes as COVID-19 symptoms ww! Mind you, the symptom list seems pretty long so practically anything could be mistaken for it Hmm

ApricotCrush · 07/08/2020 18:04

Afternoon or evening, don't know where the time goes. Lovely day here.

We've just had an invitation to DD's for a BBQ which is handy because I was just wondering what to cook and now I don't have to. Smile

Yes, WW I was going to say what Fancy said about your rash. How is it today?

Hope the trainers dried out.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2020 18:26

The rash looks the same today but I'm wondering if it hives (?) because of stressor maybe hormones. It showed up at the same time I was ovulating, I also got a zit the size of a mountain on my chin. I'm going to wait it out a while and see what happens. I feel ok otherwise.

Evening wenches

No parcel FFAS.

Family barbecue sounds fab Apricot.

Managed to get the glass.

Must go as I’m running late to meet BestFriend!

LetUsPrey · 07/08/2020 20:31

I have remembered why I don’t go out to pubs, especially in the summer, round here Many loud very drunk people. One guy can barely stand up and has fallen over about three times already. What a pleasant evening.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/08/2020 20:55

Oh no Letus Sad

We moved tables when we saw a free one. It’s been a nice day so people have been out for a while I suppose, but I don’t miss this bit of being out. Landlady ended up telling that group to leave. Anyway, we had a lovely catch up and a couple of drinks so it’s fine.

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2020 10:33

Morning wenches

Fuck me it’s a bit warm. Have done the exercisething which wasn’t the brightest idea. Am trying to think what else I’ll do today but I think my brain melted.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/08/2020 10:35

Morning all. Sun is splitting the sky here and everyone is glues to electronics. Today we have more outdoorsness planned (as long as it's not the same state as LetUs pub trip ), and then the rather tedious drive home.

Also FFS at yesterday's lack of parcels, hurrah for BBQs, and hope that Wicked is feeling better now.

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2020 13:19

Enjoy your day Helen. Hope the weather stays good and you have a safe journey home.

Got three pairs of jeans from Next. Identical sizes. Two pairs - lovely fit. Other pair - wouldn’t go further than mid-thigh. Not a skinny fit or anything, just normal bootcut. Nice one Next.

How’s the rash Wicked? Hopefully it’s gone.

DH has told me at length allllll the things he has to do today and he’s not sure he’ll have enough time. I offered to do the weeding (because there’s no chance of mixing them up with anything that isn’t a weed) but no, he’ll be fine thanks. What a hero. Amazingly I’ve done stuff today and have other things to do but I generally get on with them —at my own pace— without the need to announce anything.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/08/2020 16:15

Glad you had a good time with your friend Letus Smile

Rash still here, bought some antihistamins today and will give it a week and then I'll go to the GP.

Afternoon. Another nice day, lay on the sun lounger for a while to the accompaniment of a chainsaw and some other heavy machinery. Angry

FFS re the jeans LetUs.

Oh gosh WW, hope the antihistamines work and it goes soon.

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2020 18:54

That looks quite itchy Wicked but if it’s not getting worse and you’re otherwise well, then I agree just see how you go but make sure you see your doctor if it gets worse

Oh bloody hell Apricot, why do people have to whack up the power tools every time there’s a sunny day? And they always seem to go on alllll day.

DH has done a barbecue so of course the sun’s gone in and it’s a bit cooler.

LetUsPrey · 08/08/2020 21:48

Last night’s late night (stayed up watching a film) and all the other late nights have caught up with me so I’m in bed.

If only late nights were actually HBFs.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/08/2020 09:00

Morning wenches.

Oh LetUs if only. We have loads of late nights after all - it's only fair that some all should be substituted for HBFs.

Wicked Shock that looks awful - get to a Doctor!! And not an imaginary HBF doctor either.

We got back yesterday after a lovely yomp in the sun and then had the obligatory car problems driving home, but got home fine in the end and are all a bit knackered. Though that hasn't stopped DS waking up early and plugging himself into the xbox. We also watched the Robert Downey Jr version of Sherlock, which was a bit baffling due to the tendency of the actors to mumble a lot, but RDJ provided some eye candy and saved the day so all was well.

Today it is hot and humid, though better outside than in. I plan to do really absolutely bugger all (unless a HBF happens to wander past within grabbing distance).

LetUsPrey · 09/08/2020 09:47

Morning wenches.

Good to hear you had a lovely day and are back home. Even better to hear that you plan to do bugger all. Also, stop mumbling in films! And on the telly!

DS2 is similarly already on FIFA but DH is taking him swimming and then sportingactivity. I’ll be doing housework stuff but am leaving the ironing until Tuesday when we have thunderstorms forecast. Also have university stuff with DS1 to make sure he has everything in place for results day to contend with all the “what ifs”. Anxiety dreams about it started last night - for me obviously, DS1 is massively laid back.

FancyFancy · 09/08/2020 12:04

That does look sore ww, agree with Helen, seeing a doctor may be advisable. Whenever I've had hives they've not been as red, but very raised? Did the rash start on your torso? Is it spreading?

FancyMan actually has a gig today Shock first in nearly 5 months. I have to catch up on the work I didn't get done on Thursday

LetUsPrey · 09/08/2020 14:10

Great news re FancyMan’s gig! Here’s to his work continuing. But a bit of a pffft to you having to work today. Perhaps you should be rewarded. Twice.

Does anywench else have flies flying about? We have a few and they’re getting on my nerves.

Swagger Inn thread 166 - where the forrin one tries to come up with a witty title but fails
FancyFancy · 09/08/2020 14:17

Yep, we have them letus, small ones flying round and round in circles in the middle of rooms, most annoying.

FancyFancy · 09/08/2020 14:18
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/08/2020 14:24

Afternoon. We have F1 on TV whizzing round and round in noisy circles like pointless hornets.

Uppy-downy land was lovely, but after three days out outdoor activities my calf muscles are locked solid.

at having to work today Fancy but hurrah for FancyMan's gig! Excellent news.

Also good news about DS1 being chilled out about uni, since he can't do anything about it at this point - at least you don't have to deal with him being stressy over it.
