Morning wenches.

at critical cat Wicked

Do you think TB would just get a ruffle of the hair and a “oh you silly misguided thing you. What are you like?”

I always read the acknowledgments too

Love the thought of FancyCat doing chin lifts Grin

Every time I see the name Suarez, I think of that footballer. I can see you’re doing your best to help me change the association though Fancy Grin

Raining and foggy and urgh here.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/09/2020 07:50

Hurrah Fancy - maybe this is you being gradually acclimatised to the FAF being on screen again, because they think you won't be able to come if he's suddenly in the entire episode?

at frasen judging Wicked's feet. Grin

DS has stropped off in a huff to school so I told him he could walk by himself. I'm guessing he's trying to say sorry now, because he's been texting me about seeing a deer on the way to the bus, and taking a photo pf it. Daft boy - shame he can't just use the word 'sorry' though.

Hope that MrsG hasn't been overcome by damp clothes, humidity and mildew without the dryer being fixed Grin

re. a fandom vs haterz fight.

Oh FFS - you won't be able to COPE Fancy - bloody freudian typos ahoy!

Also x-post LetUs - similar weather here. Thoroughly dreary Sad. I need to be productive and go stew up some apples... please try to control your excitement.

ApricotCrush · 29/09/2020 17:58

Afternoon. Lovely day here, tried sitting out in the garden, but someone was sharing his music and they're muck-spreading in the fields. Uurgh.

Panic! I can't get into MN on my computer! Shock It says 400 Bad Request. What does that mean? I can't navigate it on my iPad and I haven't got any pics on it.

Grin at cats doing yoga and chin lifts.

at Freudian typo!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/09/2020 18:52

404 bad request is a problem with the URL usually - like, 'I found that website, but not that actual page' - e.g. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_404
You could try reloading the page, if you haven't already?

Weather has been unremittingly gloomy here. Constant rain/drizzle and the washing is drying inside - including the rug

LetUsPrey · 29/09/2020 19:57

Evening wenches.

at that typo

The word sorry is at extremes here - either doesn’t get said but similar to MiniHelen “look at this nice thing” or let me do a helpful thing, all the way to sorry at the other end which is obviously not meant.

What a shame they couldn’t combine the two Apricot and spread the muck all over whatever the music was coming from.

There’s a thread in Site Stuff about that 404 thing. I forgot to copy the link.

Intended to do the exercisething when I got in but DS2 hadn’t done a scrap of homework so that pushed everything back and stupidly put me in a bad mood. Really I should have just got on with it. He was being a PITA re a particular subject - denying he’s been shown what to do when I know he has and he was just being a bit lazy - so I said I’d have to email his teacher. Half-hearted denial and didn’t think I’d email his teacher. I’ve emailed his teacher.

There’d been such an improvement with his attitude to schoolwork earlier this year but he’s slid right back. Had a phone appointment weeks ago with a paediatrician who said she’d send some forms out to me and the school. Still nothing here. I’ll have to ask the school SENDCO about it.

Blah blah whinge whinge one step forward two steps back.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/09/2020 20:26

Oh LetUs Sad re. DS2 and schoolwork.

LOL at muckspreading over music. Someone in Cornwall muckspread over a car recently that was parked in their field.

We've just watched Ghosts Grin wonderful closing scene of domino effect disasters Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 29/09/2020 20:29

Grin Helen

Lot of hugs Letus

What bastards Apes Angry

Reading Strike, it's very good.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 29/09/2020 21:36

Thanks wenches.

Love that about the car in the field Grin

Must get the rest of Ghosts downloaded.

More fecking football so I’m off to bed to carry on with Strike . Not exactly a hardship Grin

FancyFancy · 29/09/2020 23:17

@ helen's typo.

But Angry that anyone thinks I couldn't cope with the faf - I'm a veteran ffs, with years of perving training behind me. It would take more than one hot Spanish man in uniform striding around, competently issuing orders in Spanish in order to overcome my erm......something or other

FancyFancy · 29/09/2020 23:34

Say this lot. In my bed. All at the same time.

In fact I demand the opportunity to prove my ability to withstand the faf. Please arrange for delivery asap

Update to my order - no substitutions, except from the following approved list I mean I love the stuff, but I had plans.

This approved substitutions list could take some time Grin

LetUsPrey · 30/09/2020 07:39

Morning wenches.

Blimey Fancy Just blimey

My morning has perked up no end after those last few posts. I can more or less forget the fact that it’s peeing it down and I woke up at 5 and managed to nod off eventually about 15 minutes before the alarm went off.

Breakfast beckons

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/09/2020 07:49

LOL at FAF order and approved substitutions. (Though I did a double-take when I saw Mr Muse and worked out that he wasn't one of the Proclaimers Grin )

Anyway - dreich, (geese), murky, (geese), damp, (geese), geese, (geese), pigeons, (geese), crows, (geese) - repeat ad nauseum. That is what outside is doing today. It's another hibernation day to be honest - stay under the covers with (or without) an HBF. Sadly I'm not paid to hibernate, so I won't be taking my own advice.

Having finished Strike I'm now on Invisible Women, which I think will leave me tremendously outraged and annoyed, so I may have to read it in tandem with something fluffier. This does not mean I want to read it with a cat on my lap - that's not what I meant, but apparently it's what I'm getting. Oh well...

A Proclaimer???!!! ShockShockShock

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/09/2020 08:33

It's the glasses - combined with hair and guitar and a tiny thumbnail image... (e.g. vaguely www.alamy.com/stock-photo-the-proclaimers-charlie-and-craig-reid-identical-twins-from-scotland-55652024.html)

LetUsPrey · 30/09/2020 11:55

Awww at cat wanting to help with fluffier readingSmile

I will of course happily share. Help yourselves to a brew and some food Wink

Am at Fancy’s exclamation. There is a facial similarity on that photo when it’s a tiny photo. Bloody love The Proclaimers . Was dancing round the kitchen to 500 Miles just the other day.

Anyway, you ain’t seen me

ApricotCrush · 30/09/2020 14:50

Afternoon. Rain, rain and more rain. Sad

Still haven't sorted out the MN problem with the PC. I think it may be something to do with AdBlocker. I'm blowed if I'm going to remove it because MN wants me to and I'm not paying the Premium. Angry

How have you managed to finish the book? Shock It's sitting on my desk and its sheer size is putting me off starting it. Confused

I love them too.
LetUsPrey · 30/09/2020 15:32

Rainy rain all day here too.

OMG that video is brilliant! All the running and door kicking and swagger and door kicking and purposeful striding and lots and lots of Aramis Grin phwoooaaarrrr. And the excellent song too. Might watch it again.

ApricotCrush · 30/09/2020 16:22

I watched it three times and now it's stuck in my head. Grin

LetUsPrey · 30/09/2020 16:43

I’m watching something I recorded called Discovering Dance On Film. It’s a countdown of 20 dance routines from different films. They’ve just shown a couple of bits from An American in Paris. I’ll have all of Leslie Caron’s wardrobe please, and that of the women backing dancers too. —they might need to let the costumes out a bit though—

LetUsPrey · 30/09/2020 20:28

Homework was done with surprisingly no fuss —it won’t last—

It’s gone quite parky hasn’t it? Can’t believe it’s October tomorrow.

Football here. Again. And even DH has said it’s a boring match so far.

Think I’ll shimmy up to the hayloft and see which HBFs are hanging about, looking for somewench to do Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/09/2020 21:40

That's a brilliant video Apricot Grin

Re. the book - I read fast, that's all. Teachers at school tried to catch me out by asking questions about books I'd read, and were foiled when I knew the answers, because I'd, like, read them. duh! Just fast. And it's a good book once you get past all the waffly descriptions and adverbs Grin

Work was work-ish, but ok. Plenty to do. Then, 48 hours after the wind dropped, we lost power for 2 hours. FFS and all that. As a result DS and I had to go out and get a take-away for tea. Oh, the hardship Grin Then I had to log back in to finish up working to get stuff into this months finance runs. #WorkTedium

Fortunately DS has no homework immediately due, so we haven't had that fun and games tonight, He also took it remarkably well when I said he had to turn off the xbox. Hmm Wonder what the payback will be...

Hope that Fancy has recovered from her Proclaimers outrage Grin and that Wicked hasn't wallpapered herself to the wall. (Was it Mr Bean that did that? Wallpapered his teddy to the wall or something?)

Hayloft sounds like a good plan anyway. Night all... (unless I stay up and mooch online of course)
