Morning all.
Acronym list - I swear to god I ought to be able to find one. We used to set them out at the start of each thread at one point - mainly for newbies and lurkers and also, how did you end up in here MrsG - it's not like we're an especially active thread these day. Not when we used to feature in the trending list and someone started a new thread to complain about us
We laughed, people replying to the OP laughed, and then we annexed that thread too.
Anyway, here we go. SisterHelen's Acronym and Grammer Guide
FAF - Fit as Fuck - used as a noun and an adjective.
e.g. He is FAF! I am watching the FAF
HBF - Hot Beardy Fucker - Noun
e.g. Where are the HBFs?
TAE - Totes a euphamism - explanation; usually unnecessary
e.g. He can help me in the garden
NAE - Totes a euphamism - explanation; just to make things clear
e.g. He can help me in the garden
YTO/NTO - Yes that one/Not that one - explanation as per e.g to differentiate between TB for Tom Burke and TB for TwatBadger.
NIAGW - Not in a good way - description.
e.g. I got all hot and sticky - niagw
IYSWIM - If you see what I mean - just that. I think that's used outside of the Tavern as well, but I'm not sure about any of the others. They might be ours?
Cwtch - not an acronym. It's a Welsh hug/cuddle I think.
In other news, it's is lovely and sunny outside. We have new chickens who are being a bit bullied
but I'm not overly worried because they're big. I've had a word with Scruffy though, because she should know better - being on the receiving end of it herself. So far they are called 'The Twins' which doesn't bode well for us ever being able to tell which is which. Also, I have dropped weetabix on Stupid Cat, who didn't notice or care. But I hope she has a wash before she starts smelling of gone-off milk
No actually sure what I'm doing today (apart from Athos - obvs.)
(It was Friesians Fancy (which lead to an amusing discussion where the difference between cows and horses had to be flagged up) and their head carriage was too high. Bless her. These things are obviously important if you (think you) know your horses. They were actually used as war horses early on though. But yes - who cares about horses.costumes when you look at the riders/wearers.)
Didn't the costumes get a bafta for S1?
