Whoop - have finally watched the first Strike episode. I think it's a bit different to the book, but I haven't read that for ages, so I'm just going with the flow
DH says he isn't bothered about the rest so I can watch it when he's out without feeling guilty.

Composter seems to be doing fine - I'm sure rain is getting in somewhere though. I could really do with getting a lot of stuff done in the garden this weekend, so hoping for some dry weather. the weeds are getting scary.

I'm pretty sure I hand fed my flytrap on occasion apricot. Bloody pampered plant

No, the water is not good - I don't think it's getting in at the top though so am a bit stumped. May rope in FancyMan to apply some brute strength to the hatch to get a tighter fit before I add the fuckton of weeds from the garden

Perhaps tempt the plant with a currant or raisin first, sort of a decoy fly. Or maybe the flies at Apricot’s are really clever and are avoiding it on purpose.

I am picturing Fancy encouraging FancyMan to be all strong with the compost bin after it’s fixed “No, keep going - more effort”

DS2 had another good day, although they’ve got a one way system in place on the school grounds and he’s getting a bit fretty about it. He missed two classroom “exits” today and said he had to go all the way round again. He wasn’t late for his lessons but this will be something that’ll play on his mind. I’m sure school will make allowances.

Going to Ikea after dinner, as long as DS1 has prepped his list I’d rather doing Lucifer and booze at Fancy’s.

Better day today but glad it's the weekend
Have a really weird taste in my mouth and smell in my nose (?) I get that sometimes, no idea what it is.
No house yet, except the house that need renovating.
Replacing a bit of the wallpaper in the kitchen this weekend, hopefully, and also finishin painting/wallpapering a couple of chest of drawers.
And then I have to start packing away things and get some less colorful curtains etc for the pics of my flat. Lots to do. Oh, and also call the realtor.

Oh poor DS2 LetUs, He'll get used to it, but they do worry about these things. I think DGS had a good day yesterday, he doesn't say much, but he lost his jumper - on day 2! Don't know whether he's found it today.

I get that weird smell in my nose WW. It lasts a couple of days and then disappears, don't know what it is.

How was Ikea LetUs?

Wicked can you not sell places if there's too much colour in the photos? I remember that most of the decor was really bland in the places you showed us. Apart from one place that had red floral wallpaper. Maybe you should leave yours colourful to make it stand out?

The house that’s being renovated sounds a good bet Wicked. Lots to do but you should like you’re very well-organised!

Hope the lump subsided quickly Apricot, good it’s not sore though. How do they lose things so quickly? I think it was DS2 who managed to lose a PE sock - just the one - fairly soon into a term. DS1 saved up losing things though. Didn’t lose anything at school but went large when at college and lost his winter coat.

Ikea wasn’t too bad. DS1 got most of the things he wanted. The queues at the tills looked horrendous but the staff had everything under control and were getting people through quickly. Didn’t have an ice cream as the fish I had for dinner was repeating on me a bit - behind my facemask. 🤢

Afternoon. Cloud and sun here. I've washed the bedding and put the winter duvet on. The summer one was getting a bit chilly.

DH has fed a fly to the flycatcher without telling me first and I'm furious. He knew I wanted to see what it did. I know I can do it myself, but it's like missing a child's first steps. Almost. It was a live one that was on its last legs and I doubt I'll find another one that I can catch.

We’re out for a socially distanced family meal this evening for Wedding That Should Have Been Today But Grrrr Covid. Need to think about getting ready.

Afternoon. Have been feeding weeds to the compost bin. Ought to get a wriggle on and do some more chores but am feeling lethargic - am a bit snuffly so think I have a mild cold.

Can’t. Move. The food was delicious and we had a large room to ourselves so our tables were spread out nicely without us having to worry about disturbing other people.
