what could be considered a fascista name? except for benita o luce that is.

did you know that in west london there's a road called stronsa road? I swear!

Ellbell · 03/10/2007 22:09

Will have to check the diary, but may be able to make it. The problem is that dh works weekends, so it's hard to me to piantare le bimbe and go away anywhere. But I'll do my best!

PippiBloodyStump · 03/10/2007 22:10

so it's that weekend. great. l'll keep both days free just in case. (as if I've got this busy social life...)

francagoestohollywood · 03/10/2007 22:13

lol at stronsa road and the busy social life.
Yes, Ellbell, I can see it's tricky if your dh works at weekends. But it'd be lovely if we could all make it.

Ello ello..Scusa ladies have been v busy and no time on the copmuter and dh took the thing apart yesterday so I had to do the ironing. Me gym magari have made it about 3 times in all so far as dh has had minor work problems and been working so I have had to give it a miss.
So name hunt for baby pippi ..It took us a while to find a name that was easy for both languages but it has worked out ok . I like Tina to be honest but I like Sebastiano but I believe that is a cartoon character in the Uk right ?
So have you guessed Brangelinas real name yet ??? Or are we not onto that yet ??

francagoestohollywood · 04/10/2007 14:11

ciao rosaaaa!
I like Tina and Sebastiano as well!!
I've been ironing as well (while listening to cheesy songs). I'm off now, it's harvest celebration at ds's school and I think he wants me to go. They made bread, bless them.

OP posts:
Rosa · 04/10/2007 14:24

AAh hope the bread was better than mine ..made it once it was hard as a rock ! I remember my harvest festival in school it was lovely and we made up baskets of food and then they were taken to an old peoples home I think . I do remember one very British hymn --we plough the fields and scatter it was sung every year and in church I think . Now thats one thing the churches here could do with singing IMO!!

PippiBloodyStump · 04/10/2007 15:32

i envy you all sahm for not having to go through the pain of choosing a childminder! pippi is today

Brangelina · 04/10/2007 16:05

Well Pippi, if it makes you feel better I'm shortly going to have to choose a scuola materna from the non choice here in Monza. Am angst-ridden already.

francagoestohollywood · 04/10/2007 17:26

The harvest celebration was held at our local church, it was lovely. I cried! (and I'm an atheist!!!). My hormones are all over the place, and I am not even pregnant!

Oh Pippi! I thought you found a childminder you liked, what happened? . I find choosing a nursery for the children quite "easy", but I was very apprehensive about the school if you remember. I love ds's school now, I think it's great adn I'm sure we'll miss it a lot.

Brangelina, I can't believe it's so bad in Monza! (I know we had the same conversation some time ago). I spoke to the office del comune di Milano and they told me that as soon as I get the residenza I should put the children's name down at our local asilo, as there might be spaces. To be on the safe side i rang a private asilo and tomorrow I'm going to ring another one in via coni zugna.

Rosa · 04/10/2007 19:44

I thought Venice was bad ..what non choice do you have for dd in Monza ?
I am waiting for the co ordinator for the private nido to call me back ...I think I will have to call again !
Pippi what happened to your childminder I thought it was sorted as well ???

hotHELL · 04/10/2007 19:53

Last year I cried all the time at ds' s school/church events, all that singing of little children....to be honest I think i was depressed! This year, no crying at all, I still think they are wonderfully moving. Ahhhh, childhood.

PippiBloodyStump · 05/10/2007 19:01

here I am.
Everything's fine, I made a big drama out of nothing TBH.

DD is very happy. childminder is lovely, don't ask me what happened. I guess just fear of leaving your LO with someone you don;t know!

Rosa · 05/10/2007 20:00

Phew glad all is ok and child minder and dd are happy.

hotHELL · 05/10/2007 20:47

So tiring choosing childminders, nurseries, schools!

francagoestohollywood · 07/10/2007 12:46

OP posts:

10th's fine by me. perfect. will put in calendar.

had a blasting row with DH at week-end. god it was nasty.

when are you going to MI franca?

francagoestohollywood · 07/10/2007 18:23

sorry to hear this pippi. avete fatto la pace adesso?
we had friends from london over the weekend, which also coincided with people coming to view the house which we put on sale and me going OTT with the tidy up, they probably (the friends) hate me now.
I'm going tomorrow, catching the train after lunch.
