OK, Sept 1st is the first day of my new 'lifestyle' anyone want to join me? Or even hold my hand?

So as of Saturday I shall be attempting to acheive the following, I may be biting off more than I can chew initially but I am determined to get there. My aim, to lose a bit of weight, have a more organised home and happier DP.

  1. No nibling at DCs tea/leftovers
  2. No eating snacks & treats I have brought/made for DCs
  3. Walk up to my office on the second floor every day
  4. Takeaways once a fortnight at most
  5. Participate as fully as possible in Flylady activities
  6. Lounge floor to be cleared of DD3s toys before I go to bed
  7. Bottom of stairs (where clutter accumulates) to be cleared at least once a week
  8. No MNetting between 3 and DTDs bedtime (I know don't laugh)
  9. No MNettinng after 11pm when I have to get up in the morning

So anyone else want to pledge to make changes in theier life or am I going to be talking to myself?

  1. Do some Pelvic Floor excercises every day.

at starting Christmas shopping but 'tis true it must be done ... and less painless if started early I guess ...

SMSW...no-one has pelvic floor exercises on their list cos they keep forgetting that they need to remember doing them

OK so are we all ready to start tomrrow (or next week for a couple...) My plan is to sign in at least once a day with progress on how I am acheiving (or not), give support to anyone that is faltering etc., and hopefully receive a pat on the back/support as necessary.

Am slightly behind with my prep for the morrow (didn't do "healthy food shop" today for example) so now wavering over whether I should start tomorrow or Mon 3 when dd starts back to school ... but either way appreciate your encouragement ...

Just found you. Can I join in? Too many things I want to change so I have to think really hard and come back tomorrow. Must go down stairs and have some quality time with DH before bed. I'm going on a health kick on Monday. So planning must be done tomorrow.

Article in the paper this morning about what the French call'la rentree'- when everyone is back at work after the summer hols and people make new starts/resolutions etc.

So you see we are in good company!

Can't help thinking most peoople on mn will start on Monday properly...Most/all of mine are 'weekday' changes.

Hiya, I am feeling like a burnt out slob, i am tired, dull skinned, ans want to join please.

Have been very lazy, and have not gone to the gym for a month, so want to get back into a puposeful state of mind.

I will have to stop eating sweet stuff. I have had ridiculous cravings, when i havent even got a swet tooth. All of it i'd put down to low self esteem becuase of ex recently.

So, (takes a deep breath)

I am up for change too.

i've been gardening this morning and have actually done lots of pelvic floor exercises ( am doing now too as i type So, it's working for me already - fab!

Well how has everyones day been? Mine has been OK, but could have done better...

  1. No nibling at DCs tea/leftovers Well I did nibble 1 piece of sausage of DTD2s plate....but you can't waste scrummy butchers sausage.
  2. No eating snacks & treats I have brought/made for DCs check
  3. Walk up to my office on the second floor every day N/A - but I did walk to teh shop and back, uphill.
  4. Takeaways once a fortnight at most N/A
  5. Participate as fully as possible in Flylady activities check
  6. Lounge floor to be cleared of DD3s toys before I go to bed check
  7. Bottom of stairs (where clutter accumulates) to be cleared at least once a week check
  8. No MNetting between 3 and DTDs bedtime (I know don't laugh) Um well, it was the w/e - I havn't MNetter as much as usual today
  9. No MNettinng after 11pm when I have to get up in the morning N/A
  10. Pelvic floors check (well I have done 1 set)

So I make that 5 1/2 out of 10 plus a couple of N/As.
WILL do better tomorrow.]

I've been pretty awful with the food.
Nicer to dd today.
But feeling a bit low.

Day One has not been a success. Sorry. Will reform.

  1. Lose a stone and get back into a size 12 by October through weightwatchers online HAVE EATEN AND DRUNK COPIOUS AMOUNTS TODAY
  2. Do at least one sporty thing a week (swimming or exercise DVD) FAILED
  3. Cut MNET down to when the children are in bed, ie post 8.30 pm SUCCEEDED
  4. Tidy up EVERY ROOM, EVERY NIGHT and make sure the next day's clothes are put out to minimise the chaotic rush in the morning FAILED
  5. Master a new recipe every week FAILED
  6. Do a monthly online shop for household items SUCCEEDED

Ok so well done to slightlymadscarything!
Sounds like a great start.
I parked in the woods today and walked 1/2 mile to the park and back with the dc (ie not too quickly but better than nothing) and am happy with that for today. Oh and I didn't pick at all

HOw have we all done today? Those that posted last night should be proud as I think you all managed to acheive something on your lists. With up to 10 items on teh lists you can't expect to acheive all of it straight away. As for me here is how I have done today...

  1. No nibling at DCs tea/leftovers
    check

    check

  3. Walk up to my office on the second floor every day
    N/A

  4. Takeaways once a fortnight at most
    N/a yet

  5. Participate as fully as possible in Flylady activities
    Doing OK, happy with progress

  6. Lounge floor to be cleared of DD3s toys before I go to bed
    shes still playing will* be done

  7. Bottom of stairs (where clutter accumulates) to be cleared at least once a week
    still clear

  8. No MNetting between 3 and DTDs bedtime (I know don't laugh)

AM happy today - but has been an easier day with the food and stuff as we have been out...tomorrow will be much harder as I don't get tea until 7:30+, so not snacking and not nibbling leftovers will be more challenging.

Not well at all....but I'm using BF probs as my excuse

Will start properly tomorrow.

I have done things to repair DS and I's relationship though...

  1. reading him a bedtime story last night without any interuptions from DD
  2. having a bath with DS and DD and having lots of bubbly fun together

Sounds like you are doing OK, surely your relationship with DS is one of hte most important things?

Just for the record I have now tidied DD£s toys and I am now loggin off and going to bed....so can officially check another couple of boxes.

It is the most important thing and i would gladly stay overweight and unfit to get things back on track with him

But i will be thin and fit with domestic harmony and it starts today!

I plan to leave the car at home when i go out later...DS wants to scooter anyway!
