Evening . Gosh it's hot, it was 33 in the shade on our terrace this afternoon. Very strange though, I was sitting in the garden in the shade when suddenly we had a cloudburst out of nowhere. I dived to get the washing in, which had been dry for hours and got drenched in the process.

Hope every wench has managed to keep cool.

It is odd apricot - the wind is really hot here & some clouds have rolled over, they need to produce some rain or fuck off as otherwise they'll just be keeping the heat in overnight

We had rain too. From 4.59pm. I got a bit soggy going to the car after work but it was warm rain. We’ve have heavy rain on and off all evening but it doesn’t seem much cooler.

Clothes are out and in piles. Cases are down. Just need to put the two together and then get all the other random shit.

DH is currently packing - we're off on grand tour of FamilleElk, godparents, a wedding and InLaws for a non-relaxing-but-fun holiday. I think I've packed for me and DS, though I still need a shower on account of the revoltingly hot and sticky weather. I shall pretend there's a HBF in there with me.

We had some rain and thunder in the night & it's much cooler today. This is all no doubt due to me watering the plants last night - I couldn't rely on it actually raining here as the forecast was changing by the hour. So I watered them. And it rained

Bonsoir wenches. Je suis arrive at Chateau de l'Elk. Je suis pooped. Traffic was fairly hellish, but fortunately DS was plugged into technology, so wasn't too bored.

We had BBQs for the past two nights (mainly because we bought too many sausages for just one night). That's what probably caused such offence to the thunder gods that they let rip last night. I mean, that combined with Fancy's watering - it was only to be expected. It's a lot cooler here though, thank goodness. We had more rain on the way here as well.

Did you manage a BBQ at all Apricot?
