And wenches can use their imaginations to make the temperature rise and anything else they can think of.

Ooooh, yes I remember Gosford Park - that was the one which was massively improvised and really good.

Did HBI not happen last night?

I MUST get on with stuff

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2019 12:33

You mean because it wasn’t historically accurate and interesting Wicked?

No sportingactivity on a Friday any more. Fingers crossed for tomorrow though.

I’m watching Last Jedi again seeing as it turned into the rugby last night. Kylo’s about to have his tantrum in the lift. He’s quite grubby. Lovely.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 14/09/2019 12:46

Well yes, that's exactly why Letus Grin

Grubby Kylo? Yum 😋

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 14/09/2019 12:48

He's so savage in that scene .....

FancyFancy · 14/09/2019 15:22

Afternoon
It's gone inexplicably warm here today - so time for laundry
Have done very little other than work this week so need to catch up on chores. The excitement. Still, lots of thighs to catch up on.........

ApricotCrush · 14/09/2019 17:14

Afternoon. Another beautiful day here, lots of washing done.

Grin at socio-economic stuff.

Can't be bothered with Strictly this year, we always fast forward more than we watch. I don't know any of the 'stars' except Annika Rice who I see is paired with Kevin that won't last long, and Darcey was the only reason DH watched, so ...

Oh, just realised it's not on tonight anyway. Confused

Went for a one hour walk this afternoon, quite pleased with myself Star

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/09/2019 19:01

Urgh
I have been (with some help from DS) cutting through a 3-4 inch thick mat of ivy roots and taking the collapsing roof off a shed. It was a 'priority job' when we moved in Hmm The plan is to replace the roof and then have a mega-sized wood store.

I'm a bit knackered now... also did laundry because it's been lovely weather here too. I suspect I will just about finish with getting the roof off, and then it will rain. A lot.

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2019 22:21

Think it starts next week Apricot. I’ll probably record it and there’ll be a lot of fast forwarding.

Tour of Britain went quite close to us today Fancy. Didn’t get to see any —thighs— of the race up close though.

Walk sounds lovely Wicked.

We’ve had the usual homework shenanigans and shouting from DS2 this afternoon and evening. Not completed anything successfully. I’ll be arranging yet another meeting with school.

For now though, a bit of rubbish telly and then hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/09/2019 08:59

Morning. You sun dance is working so far LetUs Grin

DS has no homework this week - I assume they are breaking them in gently. In the meantime, he's plugged back into his x-box and I should do something about breakfast.

More shed shenanigans this afternoon, then out for the afternoon.

LetUsPrey · 15/09/2019 10:03

Morning wenches.

Glad it’s working there Helen. Opposite effect here.

DS1 is actually up and had breakfast. I should get some ironing done before we go to sportingactivity but can’t be arsed.

FancyFancy · 15/09/2019 10:26

Morning

DS has headed back to uni this morning, so the house is somewhat clearer! More chores today & a trip to the supermarket when DD finally gets up. Currently watching thiiiiiiiiiighs with Scaredycat who is sat inside my dressing gown.

The Tour came nowhere near me this year letus, but was in my DP's town

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/09/2019 11:08

Awww at ScaredyCat in dressing gown - I used to have a cat who would like to sit on my shoulder and then try to get into my hood (when it was up) if I was wearing a coat. Cats are daft/cute/idiots Smile

I have not done any shed shenangans yet, I have been doing domestic shanaigans instead. The pots have been washed, the oven is sparkly cleaner than it was, and apples are being stewed. Please attampt to control your excitement.

LetUs - I refer back to the earlier post re. HBFs and umbrellas. also, HBFs without umbrellas...

LetUsPrey · 15/09/2019 11:36

I could use AT’s towel to dry him off Helen. There’s a win win.

Squeeee at cats snuggling!

No HBI. FFAS.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 15/09/2019 12:58

Did some excellent finds at the car boot sale today, among them a top and a scarf Smile

Evening.

Another awww at ScaredyCat.

It's DGS's birthday today so we've been to his party. Only grown ups and his cousins, so not too hectic, thank goodness. He'd already been go-carting with some mates this morning, so he's happy.

Cuppa for us and Peaky Blinders now I think.

Ooo, those are pretty WW, your post only just appeared. Confused

LetUsPrey · 15/09/2019 21:11

Love those Wicked!

That’s the sort of children’s party I can cope with Apricot.

We’re supposed to be watching final Poldark tonight but after this weekend’s homework palaver, I’m knackered.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/09/2019 22:00

Evening.

Nice haul from the car boot wicked. And agreed - family parties are much more civilised than DCs and their friends.

Shed roof is cleared of ivy - hurrah. A fair amount of it seems to have ended up in my hair though - I scratched my head earlier and there was loads of dirt and dust under my fingernails - oops! So my to do list for tonight now has 'wash hair' and 'bake cakes' on it (as well as Athos, of course) Other than that I'm tired and want an early night, so I'd best crack on with the cakes... urgh. Should have done that much earlier. Am a muppet.

LetUsPrey · 16/09/2019 08:01

Morning wenches.

I hope Athos rewarded you (in)appropriately Helen for all your hard work.

Suppose I’d better have my breakfast, hurry DS2 along, and then get to work.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/09/2019 08:36

Morning. Sadly, I was asleep by the time Athos got to the hayloft, and he thought I was too tired to be woken up. He was definitely there of course - it's just he arrived after I was asleep and left before I woke up. He totally was there though. Grin

In today's weather news, it has been raining. I have not looked at the partially de-roofed shed to see how much of a mess it is now.

Where have all my cakes gone btw?

Have a good day all.

ApricotCrush · 16/09/2019 17:57

Evening. Rain here too, although it's cleared up now.

Nothing to report, only food shopping and housework. The excitement is overwhelming. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 16/09/2019 20:18

Evening wenches.

Oh absolutely Helen. Yep. In much the same way that Brandon was definitely with me all night too.

Homework done this evening. The difference between the weekend’s hysterics and tonight is unbelievable.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/09/2019 20:25

Oh looky there! ^^ another HBF who is missing his umbrella Grin

It has been damp most of the day. I have been working and been bored. And tomorrow is the BoringOfficeJobThatIAmConsideringJackingInButWillGiveItAFewMoreWeeksBeforeDecidingToDedicateFutureTuesdaysToBecomingADomesticGoddess I also have a headache, which can FTFO.

Glad to hear that homework was less stressful tonight LetUs

Now me and my headache will go to the hayloft and hide under a pile of hay with Athos
