And wenches can use their imaginations to make the temperature rise and anything else they can think of.

Morning...

Nice and sunny here, just walked down the the bus stop with DS and the swallows are sitting on the phone lines gather to head off Sad Lovely to see them, even though it means the end of summer, but there used to be dozens of them and this year there is literally a dozen. Sad

I should be doing something productive with my spare hour...

Wonder who I was talking to about The Watch Hmm

FancyFancy · 12/09/2019 08:47

Morning.
Fully expecting today to be a repeat of yesterday - work, with a side order of work

ApricotCrush · 12/09/2019 17:48

Afternoon. Wasn't me Helen.

So happy it's Friday tomorrow and I have nothing planned this weekend which is great!
I'm going to start working evenings next week, about two evenings per week which I'm not happy about, but we don't have enough work so I feel like I have to.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/09/2019 20:25

Grin Oh well...

Well done Apricot - that's a very educational picture. (Have we ever posted a properly educational picture in the tavern - one that doesn't include HBFs?) Shock

Hope everyone's had a decent day. I have been doing my tax return and other tediously grown up things...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/09/2019 21:24

Wicked why are you working evenings - do you mean there's too much work/not enough people?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 12/09/2019 21:36

I get paid by how much I transcribe and we don't have that much work nowadays and one client are cancelling their day shifts to only evening and weekend shifts and it's a good client to work for so I feel forced to take some evening shifts to get a good salary.
The company I work for must provide a certain amount of work for us otherwise we get paid anyway so we're guaranteed a basic salary but it's not that high so that's why I want to work for this good client so I earn more money.
It's a bit difficult to explain.

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2019 21:52

Evening wenches.

Work was shit woohooooo! People at work are idiots and useless woohoooooo! The weather’s crap woohooooo! But it was okay because even though I got home just before 6, helped DS2 with part of his homework, had dinner, had a shower, dried my hair, got ready, did the rest of the homework, and then left at 6.50, DH helped by passing me my coat as I walked past the coat rack to leave the house. Gee thanks. I’ll let him off though because he did pizza for dinner.

Been to the cinema to watch NT Live Fleabag. Flipping awesome.

I might give Terry Pratchett another go Helen now that my brain is more or less back into reading mode.

Lovely for DGS to be able to relate the layers to his activity.

Urgh that sounds rubbish Wicked.

LetUsPrey · 12/09/2019 21:54

Not the thing you’ve explained Wicked, the post before that about working evenings/weekends sounds rubbish!

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2019 07:45

Morning wenches.

Quite sunny here and it’s Friday - hurrah!

Mid-September and I’m still sneezing and my eyes are still easily irritate —much like the rest of me—. Is the hayfever season an all year round thing now?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/09/2019 07:52

Morning. Sunny/cloudy. Washing is on. I have a training course to go to. The initial email which I sent home for my reference said that it was at Venue#1; the second email which I left at work says it's at Venue#2

Now I'm bloody double-guessing myself and to whether I read Venue#2 properly Confused I'm sure I did - the second email even wittered about free parking.

Best get cracking then. Oh and DS has earache because it's the weekend tomorrow. FFS.

Fuckity fuck and all that.

Wicked that's shite about work - Who the fuck says "We have less work - lets do it on weekends/evenings instead of Mon-Fri 9-5 like normal people." FFAS.

ApricotCrush · 13/09/2019 17:55

Afternoon. Lovely day here.

I saw my lovely cardiologist this morning (not HBF). This was the follow up to the scan I had thirteen months ago. Confused The traffic was horrendous, and I arrived with only two minutes to spare. Consequently my blood pressure and pulse were through the roof. Anyway he said all was reasonably well but he would arrange another scan in due course. I'll probably see him again in two years' time then. Grin

That's annoying about your work WW.

Hope Helen found her venue and DS's earache doesn't escalate.

Friday evening Wine for all wenches.

Watching King Arthur, the one with all the hot knights, I'm fastforwarding all the boring scenes I can't believe it's 15 years old Confused

Evening wenches.

Did you find the correct venue Helen? Was it the one with —HBFs— free parking? And how is MiniHelen’s ear?

Good news from the cardiologist Apricot. We could have told you you have a good heart. Yes, I’ve had a drink - what of it? Grin

Work was shit but at least DS2 has done two lots of homework tonight.

Just going to see if King Arthur is available for me to watch, although I’m actually watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi right now.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2019 20:07

Excellent choice Letus Grin

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2019 20:46

Correction: I was watching Last Jedi. We now appear to be watching rugby.

I’m flagging a bit now though so I’m thinking I’ll get a wash ready for tomorrow morning, then go to bed and read. Or I’m full of energy and am heading to the chateau to spend the night with Aramis, Brandon, and Cumberbatch and thoroughly get to know my ABCs.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 13/09/2019 21:19

Early night for me I think, I'm such a party animal Confused

LetUsPrey · 13/09/2019 21:42

Unless I’m out on a Friday, I seem to be in bed earlier than any other night of the week.

Night Wicked

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/09/2019 22:01

Evening. I did go the right right venue, and DS has got an ear infection, but not a bad one. Hurrah for that.

This evening I have been out getting knackered playing badminton. I need a shower really

Which version of King Arthur has been on? I don't recognise the picture. (We have an old Foo Fighters concert on.)

FFS at apricot's traffic/hospital shenanigans - that's really not what you need, and LOL at LetUs's ABCs Grin

Hope that Fancy has had a tolerable day at work and the tooth is behaving itself.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 14/09/2019 10:30

That's the lovely Lancelot from the King Arthur version from 2004 with Clive Owen as Arthur. Lancelot's hair looks a bit unfortunate in some scenes but it looks fab in this pic 😍😋

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 14/09/2019 10:35

Another hottie, Tristan Smile

Of course I mainly watched it for the historical and socioeconomic bla bla bla Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/09/2019 11:39

Ooh - Clive Owen - you have my full attention Grin

And quite - it's important that we watch a lot of historical programmes to compare how history and myth are represented in the light of current socio-economic and societal norms. (though sounded convincing - no?)

It is sunny and I need to be doing stuff in the garden. And getting DS off the x-box.

LetUsPrey · 14/09/2019 11:51

Morning wenches. Good that MiniHelen’s ear isn’t anything too drastic.

Clive Owen has been popping up quite a lot recently on the tv and films. Wasn’t he in Gosford Park too? That was another film with the history and social economic whatnot aspect. Yep.

Have been to opticians for mine and DS1’s check ups. Both need new glasses so that was a bit spendy. No Dog-a-Like today sadly. Got home and DS2 was doing homework. Hmmm. One of his “easier” subjects but still hmmmm.

Lots of washing to do and other assorted Saturday thrillingness.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 14/09/2019 12:15

Everytime that saxon dude Stellan Skarsgård appeared I was like BORING, not a hot knight Grin
