Afternoon wenches. We're back. We've had a lovely weekend, weather was fantastic, so I was vindicated. It's chucking it down today and I have a mountain of washing.

Haven't RTFT, but have to do a quick Sainsbury shop for supplies and then do the school run and amuse DGS for the next three hours.

LOL at the eyepatch. The swelling has calmed right down so the manshapes can't be blamed for not noticing it now.

for apricot re. entertaining DGS. Speaking of which, I might go for a hot chocolate. It wasn't forecast to rain today, so I washed a throw and a bedspread. You can imagine where that sentence is leading... The cats are making the most of the lack of throw - rolling about and weaving their hair into the sofa.

Have had mammoth homework tussle with DS2 including him swearing and calling me a not great name. Fuck me we’re only a week in and it’s this shit already. He calmed down eventually and has part done it. This just means he has more to do tomorrow but I’m already at the stage of “do the homework or don’t do the homework, I don’t care”.

I have been tediously domestic this evening - got back from work, dug up potatoes, picked beans and plums and apples, collected egg fed cats, cooked tea, shut chickens in, ate tea, stewed apples. Meantime, DS has been glued to x-box and youtube. I need to revisit my parenting skills.

Homework, yes. I really think they get too much, DD brought DGS's to the caravan. (I had no idea that the oceans had named layers. I think I was a lot more interested than DGS was. ) Anyway, it's making them stressed and cross when they should be enjoying their evenings at home. Don't know what the answer is.

DH came home and I mentioned that DS2 has done one homework tonight but has some to do tomorrow night for Friday (sort of part done tonight) and don’t forget that I’m out, meeting a friend at 7. So I’ll get in just before 6 and will want to shower and get ready —won’t actually take that long but not the point—, have some dinner and leave about 6.50. DH’s suggestion is that I’ll be able to help DS2 with this homework (definitely needs help with it) before I go out. It’s going to take at least 30 minutes and will no doubt be stressful. Fucking hell. DH has just got this sort of block when it comes to homework.

Fuck it. Fuck it all. I’m going to the hayloft where I’m going to be joined in all the ways by CptRoss.
