Well the tooth didn't seem to be much better, the dentist couldn't numb the nerve enough to make the treatment pain free & it soon started to bloody hurt again. It's been better this evening though - that may just be the ibuprofen, but at least that's working now! Root canal treatment booked in for a couple of weeks time.

DS1 was out of the house in time. Other than when we got up to go on holiday, this is the earliest he’s been up since the end of June. Those were the days, although I don’t remember lying in that much as a teenager.

So, DS is out the house and off to school. I have this large amount of extra time in my mornings. I could use it as 'stepper time' or similar. Or I could sit on the laptop being a cat bed. (cats have been flea'd last night so they are little punk cats with a spiky mohican along the back of their necks.)

Morning. Tooth felling a bit better this morning - until I had a cup of tea! It's calmed down again, so hopefully it'll continue on like that - still hurts a bit but much more manageable. The pain is from an inflamed nerve I think helen, so not sure the soluble aspirin would get to that any better than ordinary painkillers? I have co-codamol as back up if I need it!

We're off to the caravan when DH gets home. I don't seem to be packed, but it doesn't take long. Weather's not looking too bad.

Hope the tooth behaves itself Fancy until you get treatment.

I’m having a vodka - just a small one - and a packet of crisps, because it’s been a bit of a rubbish week at work so far and I remain HBFless.

Oh there's a plan- self medicate with HBFs. (Though the asprin does seem to have done the trick, and if it took the headache away from LetUs then that's all good .)

I do need to make packed lunches for tomorrow though, and have a bath... then hayloft.

Tooth feeling much better today thanks - whether he has temporarily or permanently deadened the nerve I'm not sure! I may have to pass on the hbfs for now - antibiotics causing a few digestive issues. Good excuse for sitting around with a cat on my lap and watching the cycling.

Fingers crossed that your tooth continues to feel better Fancy and that apricot has a ncie time at the caravan, and wicked has nd that LetUs's work twats are replaced by HBFs. Actually, that last one goes for all of us.

Watching The Skeleton Key, it's a horror/thriller movie from 2005, not the bloody but the creepy kind. It's quite good.

Evening. I have steppered and stuff and really ought to have a shower. DS and DH are out at Sporting Activity and I'm considering trying to work out how to watch The Souvenir 'on demand' on my laptop. Or I might just pootle about on the laptop until I don't have time for that any more of course.

DS is absolutely addicted to Sherlock now and wants to watch an episode a night. I got the complete series and Xmas DVD on ebay, so that's us sorted for a week or so. such a hardship I also introduced him to Father Ted, which went down quite well.

I'm watching 'A Stitch in Time' which has been on the box for months. They're analysing costumes in historical paintings and trying to recreate them. (You can tell I'm alone in the house!) I didn't get round to Souvenir.

I don't think DS is ready for Black Books quite yet. (Or I'm ot ready for him to be ready!)

(Stitch in Time is now showing how wool cloth is made. It's a bit like and adult version of "Come Outside" )

We gave up with homework for tonight.

DS2 had a letter for a school trip in his bag on the first day back. (Although it is a really good trip so it dulled the pain).

That programme sounds really interesting and is something else I’ve missed which is no longer available. And I bloody loved Come Outside. DS1 was proper obsessed.

The football has not gone well and DS2 - as ever - has not taken it well. Sigh.

Sherlock went on far too late. I don't think Hound of the Baskervilles was the best episode for DH to watch just before bed...

Afternoon. Felt too ill to watch any thighs yesterday Still felt like shit this morning, so spoke to a doctor & have stopped taking the antibiotics. Have never reacted like this to them before. On a positive note, the temporary fix for the tooth pain has been working very well

Most impressed with DS liking Father Ted helen - I tries it on DD & she didn't get it at all.
