And wenches can use their imaginations to make the temperature rise and anything else they can think of.

Slept in, then took a walk to Systembolaget to buy wine, it's about 50 min walk in all so good exercise, but it's quite hot today so I got quite humid Confused

Going to the cinema tonight, watching The Dead Don't Die with Adam Driver 😀

Hope all wenches has a good day.

LetUsPrey · 31/08/2019 14:32

I can’t stop eating. Seem to be constantly snacking as well as meals. Need to stop. Out for a meal with DH tonight so that’ll help Hmm

The wine was a good reward for the exercise Wicked. I’m sure you’ll find an even greater reward at the cinema Grin

I’m watching Bad Times At The El Royale. Is very good so far, and I’ve not even got to this part yet.

Afternoon. Looking at the weather at the caravan, it's been lovely today and will be tomorrow. We should have gone.

I've been dealing with eBay problems all day. I had the brilliant idea of buying popular dresses very cheaply to sell on. Out of seven purchases, three are fine, one has arrived creased to death and will need to be washed and ironed before I can list it, one hasn't even been despatched after a week, one has arrived with massive pulls all over it and I'm in the process of arguing negotiating with the seller about who pays the return postage, and one sent the wrong Paypal address and my payment was returned by a very confused gentleman who says he's had 10 payments for stuff he isn't selling. Confused Wish I'd never bothered.

Aww Helen, I hope you've been able to catch up with some of your jobs.

I have to defrost our freezer, but there's something wrong with the lid and DH hasn't got time to fix it. It currently has a 56lb weight holding it down, so I can't get into it. Aaargh!

They're making a huge thing about The Souvenir, aren't they? Critics seem to be raving about it, but those who've seen it (apart from the fans of course!) aren't so sure. I'm reserving judgement. It seems rather strange that it wasn't scripted and they made it up as they went along. Confused

Oh, I really should check for a new page before I post. Have a lovely time tonight LetUs. And who is that shimmying?????

ApricotCrush · 31/08/2019 17:11

Oh, and enjoy the film WW as if you wouldn't. Grin

LetUsPrey · 31/08/2019 17:20

Bah I bet it rains though Apricot and you’ll have been proved right not to go.

I’ve still not got round to eBaying all the stuff I need to. Good luck with sorting it al out.

That’s Chris Hemsworth. Shimmies rather well doesn’t he? I’m transfixed.

I need to go and get ready.

LetUsPrey · 31/08/2019 19:55

Meal was absolutely bloody fantastic and I now have a rather impressive food baby.

Had Radio 4 on and heard the review of the Souvenir. They all liked it and they loved Tom Burke. Much much praise for his performance.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/08/2019 21:22

Ah - hot priest Moriarty Grin (We're watching the last Sherlock on the disc.) "NOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!" yells DS at the cliffhanger ending at the pool.

I have defrosted the freezer and de-mited the chickens, and probably done other stuff - oh - school shopping. DS has PE stuff now.

Hurrah for films with FAF and meals out and all. Boo to Ebay (though I have just ordered the rest of the Sherlocks on DVD) It doesn't work on Chrom on my laptop any more - no idea why.

I have not watched The Souvenir yet.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/08/2019 22:28

Oh - just realised - The Dead Don't Die - that's the one that looked like Shaun of the dead. Is it as good as the trailer looks? I figure if it has Bill Murray in it then it's probably worth watching.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 31/08/2019 22:42

No, it's not worth watching Helen, such a weird movie Hmm

LetUsPrey · 01/09/2019 10:39

Morning wenches.

But was Adam good in it Wicked?

Sounds like you had a productive day Helen

Am trying to get DS1 out of bed, breakfasted and dressed for sportingactivity. I’ve kidnapped and hidden his phone as encouragement.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 01/09/2019 11:36

Of course, and hot! Grin

FancyFancy · 01/09/2019 14:34

Well I spoke too soon, Nico Roche crashed out of the Vuelta. Literally.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/09/2019 15:40

FFS - this is what I wrote this morning (and forgot to post)
---
Morning.
But was Adam good FAF in it Wicked (more to the point) Wink

It is lovely and sunny here. I need to be out of the house in 12 minutes. I should really get dressed Confused

Fingers crossed for the HBI LetUs
--

Good plan Fancy - wenches are very skilled nurses. Well. They're good with HBFs in bed. Same thing, no?

LetUsPrey · 01/09/2019 17:43

HBI in attendance “Work on technique, start gentle”

They keep trailing the Star Wars movie channel on Sky at the moment Wicked. It’s a struggle not to “mmmm” out loud every time Kylo pops up brandishing his lightsaber

I expect Nico will require lots of TLC, things rubbing better Fancy

Grin at wenches being skilled nurses as they’re good with HBFs in bed

Spent part of the afternoon discussing university choices with DS1. Yes, DS1 I agree that that closebyuniversity would be the best one for you to go to and it’s where you want to go. However, it also has a very very high entry requirement so you should have some other places in mind. Cue blank look from DS1.

I finished watching Bad Times At The El Royale. I recommend it, particularly about 33 minutes from the end which I watched, rewound, watched again, got to the end of the film and then went back to that bit to watch again.

ApricotCrush · 01/09/2019 19:22

Evening.

We've been at a BBQ at DS's to celebrate his GF's uncle's birthday. DH who was already there said he'd phone to let me know what time to come but it would be about 4pm. He phoned at 12.00 to say it starts at 12.30. WTF? He gave me half an hour to get ready, try on and reject six outfits, go and buy a birthday card and drive to DS's. Needless to say I was somewhat late. Not that it mattered really, but I was unnecessarily stressed. Hmm

Yay for nursing skills, and FAF in films.

Hope you had a lovely time and I’m sure you looked fabulous

Think we’re on Poldark tonight (I wish) which I think is episode 6.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/09/2019 20:36

Ah, LetUs, the oblivious confidence of teenagers... obvs it's impossible that DS1 might not get the right results, because, like, he wants to go. Hmm

for MrApricot. Honestly, doesn't he know better by now?! Still, you always look fab Apricot so you could have worn a sack and it would have been fine. Speaking of which, I tried a dress on today which I was shopping for DS school jumper (I got distracted on route to the uniform shop) and it looked lovely on the hanger. So I tried it on. Wenches, I looked like I was wearing a sack. A decorative sack, but a sack. Grin So much for the idea of a swishy dress that skims my figure and hints at nonexistant curves. Still, saved me some money.

LetUsPrey · 01/09/2019 21:56

I think that’s his general thought process Helen. He’s admitted though that he sort of coasted through his GCSEs, although he got very good results, and he’s finding that he can’t do that with his A levels.

Urgh to clothes shopping Helen. It’ll have been the dress’s fault it looked not great, not yours. I need something for family wedding next year. I’m already not looking forward to the prospect of finding something.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/09/2019 22:21

Well at least he's realised that he can't coast his A levels and expect to get good results.

We need a wench shopping trip to find you a dress Grin

I'm heading for the hayloft...

LetUsPrey · 01/09/2019 22:36

The next step is him actually doing something about the realisation and getting his arse in gear.

I suspect a wench shopping would involve cake Grin

I should also head to the hayloft

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 02/09/2019 06:49

Mmm, cake Smile

LetUsPrey · 02/09/2019 08:08

Morning wenches.

There’s a lot to be said for cake.

It’s Monday again. That does keep happening. And it’s raining.

If you’re going to the caravan Apricot, fingers crossed for decent weather.

My brain is refusing to come up with anything else to say.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/09/2019 08:42

Morning. It being Monday, I suggest you break your brain in easily by just admiring the view, and don't worry about saying anything particularly meaningful or coherent? In fact, you should probably stay sitting down - or lying down. Start the day gently.

We have sunshine - soz. And I brought the washing down to put on. I think I put it on. I should check it's not just sitting by the machine.

Grin
FancyFancy · 02/09/2019 09:25

Morning
Sixth form enrolment day here - two days before term starts Hmm Sometimes DD's school really pisses me off - why can't they do all that on the first day back rather than get them all back for one hour in the holidays FFAS?
