DS2 is currently at StropCon 3 in not wanting to go out. This is because DH and DS1 have gone to the football so are joining us later so DS2 doesn’t want to go without them. Not an option so I’m ignoring him.

We have mowed the lawn. and I am hot and sweaty and in need of a HBF shower (with HBF) I also ought to pick fruit in the garden before the birds strip it all.

Well done FancyCat Fräsan really doesn't like going to the vet. Last time both cats had their teeth cleaned Sigrid was cool as a cucumber while Fräsan was so scared she attacked the vet after waking up and I was met with loud hissing when I came to pick her up. Poor thing.

This day has gone by fast, I started working at 7, then vacuumed, then went for a walk. Now on the couch doing fuck all

I’m only about four or five episodes into the first series of Handmaid’s Tale.

DS' version of going out and doing something together turned out to mean "Please take me shopping so I can buy toys." not "Lets have a nice day out at local scenery/cultural venues."

So I have stropped a bit, and now we are all going on a 'day out at local scenery/cultural venue' tomorrow instead. I have also managed to borrow one of DS' friends to take with us and mute his permanent level of boredom-inspired winge.

Have also been gardening and wrestling with nettles since we got back - my arms are all very tingly.

DH left the party with the DC earlier than I did. I messaged him later to say I was waiting for a taxi —because some of the people were starting to behave like arses—. He sent a message back saying that Poldark was waiting for me. I almost ran it home

Arggggggh, forgot about Sanditon - thanks apricot. Too much on one night to record it all - Poldark, cycling, Chicago and now Sanditon to record. Currently watching Foo Fighters at Reading on BBC4.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhh! Missed FooFightersAtReading. Wonder if it's on catch-up anywhere. (Probably not)

My washing is on the line (from last night). It has cobwebs on. I think we can safely say that it has been darked on

It is warm enough already which makes me doubt the wisdom of "Lets have a nice day out at local scenery/cultural venue" since it will involve a considerable amount of time in a car as well. Melting. I should also apologise to DS because he doesn't permanently winge. It's only when he doesn't get to do something that he wants to do.

I also missed Sanditon, mainly because we haven't even finished Killing Eve, Catch22, or countless other stuff. I haven't even attenpted to start Poldark ( at Poldark waiting at home for LetUs - don't we all wish for something similar?!)

Will crack on with picnic preparations... and breakfast for that matter.

Waited up for DS1 who was out at a friend’s last night. He didn’t know what time he’d be home or how he was getting home and couldn’t understand why I was a bit cross about this. He text me just before 3 to say he was setting off and that he’d walk it. Consequently I’m a bit tired.

I have cooked and baked and verily I am a domestic goddess (if you could just ignore all the dust/cobwebs slatternly housekeeping etc). Now I am stuffing my face with breakfast before we head out for our argument day of familial harmony and happiness.

I was thinking I wouldn’t go back to bed, but having seen those pictures I rather think a return to bed is in order, possibly with a shower first.

This has been the shittiest Monday ever, so tired this morning but work went well, then I went to renew my passport London here I come and when I came back the internet was down and still is so I can't work, great

I well remember listening for the DC to return home in the night. This was before mobile phones, so I had no idea what they were doing. I could never sleep until they were safely in their beds.
