Thought I’d go with a gardening theme Grin

Lovely sunny weather

Morning
That's good to know letus, if the story picks up it may detract from the stilted dialogue! Interested to see what you think of Beecham House - am tempted to watch as it looks frothy and diverting I want a faf report

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2019 10:56

Have done ep1 Beecham House. Gorgeous scenery, very colourful, setting up a storyline nicely albeit a bit obviously IYSWIM, Rochefort is indeed in it, some lovely costumes —big coats, breeches (I think, don’t hold me to that), Tom Bateman is an HBF—

Have done the exercise thing and am shortly heading out with DS1.

Oh he was in Vanity Fair. May give it a try - looks like it could be a good accompaniment to the ironing....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/07/2019 11:49

Morning all.

I had a machine-full of washing-to-be-done yesterday and DH wanted a BBQ, so yes - of course it tipped down until 5pm. So we had a mild-fading-to-chilly BBQ in the evening, and I did the washing this morning.

FFS at vanishing pillows and missing bedding apricot. That's very irritating.

The mouse, as far as I know, has (hopefully) left the hoover - I should really get it back in from the shed - or at least, onto the patio where I can plug it in and check that no mouse comes flying out!

You holiday plans sound fabulous LetUs - imagining HBFs in all manner of situations.... I shall just take a moment...

(In fact I'll take such long moment I'll forget to hit 'post')

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2019 13:23

I suspect it will be excellent ironing accompaniment

Grin at mouse whizzing out of hoover. I imagine it zooming out, squeaking “wheeeeeeeee”!

No surprise that HBF moments made everything else fall away

HBI in attendance
Don’t go in too hard at first
I can insert my hand if you move your hips
Being flexible is a help

Usual Sunday treats of homework and ironing but with a nice visit to parents.

I need to feed DS...

ApricotCrush · 07/07/2019 17:49

Afternoon. Lovely day, lots of washing and ironing done.

Grin at HBI.

We've finished Summer of Rockets, I thought it was a bit meh to be honest. I don't think the drama is terribly good at the moment. Killing Eve is getting a bit boring because you know what's coming every time Villanelle is alone with someone, and there doesn't seem to be much plot. Wasn't keen on Gentleman Jack. Haven't tried Beecham House, but it does look a bit like Downton Abbey in India, particularly with Mrs. Patmore, although Tom Bateman does look good.

Oooh, we went to Turkey a few years ago LetUs. I'll skim over the fact that the temperature was in the mid-40s, and we got the trots, although I think they've sorted out the water problem now, BUT we had a Turkish bath and then my sister-in-law and I paid extra for a massage and it was absolutely amazing. It was a guy that did it, and he wasn't particularly FAF but it was so, so relaxing. Best massage ever.

Hope the mouse is ok.

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2019 19:38

I’m persevering with Gentleman Jack. Perhaps eight episodes was too many —for me—

Hopefully the drama will improve in the autumn and winter. Poldark will be back soon.

This will be the third time I’ve been to Turkey, although I’ve never been in July before. The massage sounds incredible.

I’m on ep3 of Beecham House. He has a brother. Also tall. Also attractive. Good —fictional— genes.

Not done the ironing yet. Best to spread the excitement throughout the day.

Monday tomorrow. Yuk. The good thing though is that I'm off work for four weeks after this working week.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/07/2019 21:19

Evening.

Shock and Envy at 4 weeks off work! You lucky thing wicked Grin

Mouse. Oh - forgot about that. The hoover is still in the shed. Oh well - it can come in tomorrow Confused Grin

I'm sure I read an interview with the writer that said Beecham House was inspired by Downton Abbey Yes - it was referenced in terms of her adapting western stuff to an India take on it - e.g. Pride and Prejudice to Bride and Prejudice.

We're watching Top Gear, which is quite entertaining with the new/current line-up.

In other news, I finally finished Aramis' Secret Diaries... archiveofourown.org/works/16390544/chapters/38365382

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2019 22:34

Have you lots planned for your four weeks off Wicked?

New Top Gear is an improvement.

I’ve been watching a film called This Beautiful Fantastic. Andrew Scott’s in it.

I’ve also been getting lost in Pinterest looking for —pictures of Brandon— ideas for sister’s wedding.

Hayloft for me...

LetUsPrey · 07/07/2019 23:46

And me. Bit stuffy tonight so you’ll only be needing Athos’s Summer cloak as a cover Helen.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 08/07/2019 08:00

Morning wenches.

Another sunny day, although I think we’ve got rain on and off for the rest of the week.

Film was entirely predictable but very lovely and AS was gorgeous.

Not really feeling it today so I think I’ll hide in the hayloft and feel HBFs instead.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/07/2019 08:01

I think I'll only be needing Athos, never mind a cloak Wink Obvs will have to incorporate the cloak to spare your blushes - it makes a perfectly adequate curtain...

Warm and sunny here, have a good day all...

FancyFancy · 08/07/2019 11:15

Morning. Escaped fairly lightly with the sleepover last night - not many stayed over in the end, so not too late a night.

Four weeks off ww? You are so lucky Envy - do you have plans for all that time off?

Excellent HBI comments there letus & I like the idea of Downtown Abbey in India - perfect ironing tv.

Started Catch 22 last night & thought it was pretty good. Quite a lot of topless young men and a few bare arses in the distance.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/07/2019 17:55

I plan to sleep and drink pink fizz Grin Oh, and I'm also doing a mammogram Confused

ApricotCrush · 08/07/2019 18:27

Afternoon. Miserable day here, although still warm.

Will read Aramis' Secret Diaries tomorrow Helen.

That sounds lovely WW, not the mammogram of course. I don't get them any more, they don't bother with you after a certain age. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 08/07/2019 20:24

Evening wenches. Sunshine didn’t last long. Been raining on and off since early afternoon.

I know mammograms are worth it but blimey they’re eye watering. Concentrate on the pink fizz.

Good idea using the cloak as a curtain Helen.

Friend of mine was saying similar the other day Apricot - get to a certain age and it’s a bit “let’s not bother with that for you” Hmm

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/07/2019 21:59

Evening. No rain here (yet?) Think it's forecast for Wednesday last time I checked - which could well mean rain tomorrow by now, the way that forecasts go.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/07/2019 22:08

We're watching 'Horizon: Honest Supermarket' on BBC2 - it's a bit worrying and also predictable (supermarkets disguising as much as possible behind marketing)

LetUsPrey · 08/07/2019 23:52

We saw some of that Helen. Interesting in parts, seen it before in others.

Finished Summer of Rockets. Glad I finished it. Weirdly DH enjoyed it more than I did.

Need to head to the hayloft.

Morning wenches. Bit dull, bit rainy. I’d suggest all wenches stay in the Tav today.

Am straight out after work today. Hoping I can leave work a little bit early to get home, get changed, pick up friend, and get an early train!
