Afternoon.

Fun and games on the school run. DH dropped me at the shops and then went on to get DGS, about a mile away. He got out of the car, went to lock it and found he didn't have his key fob. The door locked by itself so he couldn't get back into it without the alarm going off. We'd got into it at home because I'd got mine in my bag. He phoned me and I had to walk to the school to rescue them. It's a good job I'd only gone to the Post Office and hadn't got a week's shop with me. Also that my hip's a bit better, I would never have made it last week.

Evening wenches. I have been a very tired and grumpy person today —not helped by silly people at work—. Left DS1 a short list to remind him of some stuff he needs to get done today. He did nothing so that didn’t help.

Eeek at MrApricot getting locked out of the car but hurrah at Apricot to the rescue! Good that your hip is on the mend, even though it probably got a bit over-exerted today

Went out for my exercise, got back, homework with DS2, caught up with the tennis, and am now watching the football.

FML, how can DS go from lovely to obnoxious little sod in the space of a breath? (Because I asked him to go to bed, that's why - obvs.) I'm currently watching tennis before I go upstairs for Round 2 (aka "Turn your light off!")

apricot at the car locking itself. Is that a normal thing for it to do? I locked myself out once by shutting the boot with the keys inside it. The useless Green Flag said that they couldn't come out without a postcode.... I was at a specific location in a small village, it was very much WTF?! I didn't bother renewing my membership after that. Thank goodness you were on hand to rescue MrA. Hopefully your hip is ok - I would get the HBFs to do some work on you it - lots of different positions and stretching will be needed I expect.

Back to tennis - Kygrios match - his opponent seems to have a 70's porn star moustache - that's obviously the reason he lost.

DS2 is not taking the football well, although there’s a few minutes left.

I really really need an early night, so I expect to be still pissing about close to midnight.

Ditto re. early night - so a put a cake in the oven which will not be ready until 11pm

And DS is just lovely again now - I went up to do lights out and he had fallen asleep already, so was angelic and perfect, etc etc.

Seems to be very busy at work atm, then delayed because of traffic on the way home, then FancyMan was round yesterday evening. Am getting sooooo behind with chores

Afternoon. DH has gone to the caravan golfing for a few days.

I have no idea about Lucifer. No Netflix or Amazon here either.

Yes Helen, you close the car door and walk away and it locks itself and turns the door mirrors inwards. Then when you come back as long as you have the fob you can just open the door without having to unlock it. All well and good until something like yesterday happens.

I travelled around the area when I was at work pre-DC and I was always locking myself out of the car. In the end I had three sets of keys, using one and having two spare sets in my bag. You can guess what happened. I locked the keys AND the bag in the car on one occasion.

Beautiful day here. I was lying in the garden topless when the air ambulance came over very low, obviously going to land somewhere. It seems there has been a bad accident up the road. Hope everyone is alright.

Having loads of fun with DS2 and his homework. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore . He’s obviously going to get more next year and will still be struggling. Poor thing is getting so frustrated and then gets very angry

I am watching Tennis. to be fair it's more on in the background, I'm not actually watching it.

DS has a special event thing at school tomorrow and has had a checklist for a few weeks of what he needs. DH said he would check through it. DH has checked through it... 15 minutes before he needed to go out (because I loudly told DS that we needed to go through the list before he watched any more TV), and... you know where this is heading don't you? FFS. Fortunately, a quick trip up the road for DF and the missing item has been borrowed by me and brought home just as DH heads out the door. Bloody 'Mental Load' and oblivious DH.

Oh FFAS MrHelen . Sounds similar to DH who on his way out tonight asked me was I not going to go and help DS2 then with his homework.

I do hope he doesn’t lose too many golf balls and doesn’t go over par by too many shots . Extra HBFs round to Apricot’s in the meantime.

Heading to the hayloft very soon where Brandon and his magic wand will show me the many wonders of his sleight of hand technique.

So today I have biked about 6 miles. Or maybe 10. Not sure. Then we went swimming tonight, which was a bit tiring but the pool was blissful - felt horribly cold when I got in and them just wonderfully cool once I was actually swimming. I think my legs might be a bit tired tomorrow though.

Hope that Fancy got through lots of HBFs today
