No HBI today.

I need to put the third lot of washing out but I don’t want to overdo the excitement and glamour.

Evening.

Beautiful cake WW. I have also been cake-making today but I won't post a pic as it's only a plain fruit one. DH is going to the caravan next week with golfing mates and I always make them a cake. While everything was out and in a mess I also did a victoria sandwich for us. again. I very rarely make cakes.

We watched Killing Eve last night and then the Killers. Fabulous! Really enjoyed it. DH wasn't impressed, said they were ordinary. No taste.

We’re doing the last part of Chernobyl tonight, and then we’ll do Summer of Rockets over the course of the week. We’ve only watched one episode of that.

Just in case the many loads of washing that got pegged out today wasn’t exciting enough, I also did the ironing and had —an argument— a discussion with DS2 about his homework.

Evening. We are home. I did my best martyr supportive spouse/parent thing in the baking hot sunshine all day and I missed a bit of my foot with suncream and there's this weird bright red strip on my foot just next to the strap on my sandal. Are you all fascinated? No, me neither to be honest, but there were no HBFs there so there's not much else to talk about (other than the rather tasty chocolate cake I had.) Wicked's cake looks lovely!

We are waaaaaaaaaaaay behind on TV programs - i think we've only watched the first Killing Eve, and maybe 3-4 of Gentleman Jack? Problem is that by the time DS is off to bed, I'm too tired to want to watch something, so we don't put anything interesting on and then I end up staying up late anyway. FFS at self. etc.

Also I have to fill in lots of forms for DS for school. LOTS of forms. FFS. Again.

If Fancy off out with Fancyman tonight? Or was that last night? I have completely lost track of everything. Maybe my brain is baked. I will ask Dr Athos for a remedy.

I’ve got to the stage of persevering with Gentleman Jack which I suppose isn’t the best, but I feel like I’ve got as far as I have - about episode 5 - so I’m determined to get to the end.

Cloudy and windy here. DS2 is freaking out because he’s just remembered he’s got homework due today, set Friday, that wasn’t on the homework app. He’s done what he can and will do more at lunchtime. But FFS. I even asked at the weekend if he had anything that wasn’t on the app. I feel this is setting the tone for Monday.

Evening. It's been cloudy and miserable all day, and now it's gone sunny.

I don't kow where the morning went, all of a sudden it was lunchtime. Ah yes, DH was at home. I get so much more done when he's out.

So, DS2 went to speak to teacher during break to explain he had done most of it and tried his best, etc. She said it’s not due until Friday. 90% of the time for that subject it’s set Friday, due Monday. So at least it’s partly done —but would have helped if it had been on the app—

I got to work. Crown that has been loose for over a year finally gave up and came out. Was able to put it back and no pain, but thankfully got an appointment which meant leaving work, drive to dentist (near home), fortunately just need cementing back in, drive back to work.

But hurrah because Wimbledon starts today! Although boo because two of my favourite player are already out and Dustin didn’t qualify.

I was at FancyMan's on Saturday night & then we were away on Sunday for a music festival (well I got to sit around & enjoy the music & he had to play a couple of times!) Back today & pleased to be back home - it was a lovely weekend but a bit tiring.

Sounds a lovely way to spend the weekend Fancy. But tiring as you say, so perhaps you’d better have a lie down. I’m sure there will be HBFs to assist you with the lying down.

We’re watching Summer of Rockets.

Have spent the evening on domestic tedium duties. And I haven't even started on the reams of paperwork for change of school stuff. Though did see some Wimbledon - brilliant victory for the teenager who beat Venus Williams.

Glad that you had a good, if tiring, weekend Fancy to Apricot for the vanishing day and LetUs for the tooth/homework chaos.

Weather was a mix of not-so-warm and utterly roasting when the sun was out.

Is change of school from primary to high school Helen? Hope whatever paperwork it is is easily completed.
