There’s only me up. Not such a surprise for DH when he’s actually got some time off, and not a surprise at all re DS1, but DS2 still being asleep at this time is quite unusual. Hurrah!

Hurrah for quiet start to the morning LetUs - I had a relatively late start with DS as well. Did the rounds of the livestock and then left him plugged into the xbox and went back to bed - hurrah!!!
Slight interruption when he yodelled up the stairs that he'd won a game, and then I snoozed until just gone 9 Now I'm on the computer and have to work

I have been doing some gardening - ScaredyCat came out with me & ran up trees for no discernible reason.

I was going to say if I was a cat, I’d be running up and down trees for no discernible reason too, but that’s probably a lie

Oh I don't know letus, cats make running around pointlessly with a silly expression on their faces look like fun, I'm sure we'd all do it.

Evening. Work has been a bit bonkers today. This afternoon I borrowed a couple of children for DS to play with (and to make me feel less guilty about being busy with work).

Then we went out (so that DH could have someone to drive him home afterwards) But also caught up with friends, so that was nice.

DH is now cooking me a cordon blu meal Omlette for tea - Oh! Wenches! Scruffy chick is all growed up - she laid her first egg today!!! (And DS ate it for lunch)

I did do some washing today but left it too late to dry and now it is outside getting darked and fogged on.

Also, DH says I'm not to tell you, but he got Daniel Day Lewis and Danny John Jules mixed up obvs he knows the difference, but he was struggling to remember DJJ's actual name, start with the 'D' and then it just went downhill from there. The entertainment possibilities are wonderful for swapping them in their roles.

Morning wenches. Oh dear, I seem to have forgotten to make notes re the science experiment. Hopefully Helen remembered because otherwise wenches will have to re-do it.

DS2 seems to be in a good mood and has agreed to do his homework.

Oh nooooooooooooooooo LetUs - I didn't make any records of method, or process, or result. Why didn't you remind me last night? I'm going to have to do it all again. And It's going to take forever if we have to stop and take notes. Whatever will I do? Everywench will have to take part - repeatedly - to give us a better... (what's the word?) sample size. More meaningful result, etc.

It it truly a glorious day outside though - I've let the chickens out and it's sunny and mild and there are primroses out now, and a couple of crocuses whose bulbs haven't been eaten by squirrels, and daffodils (mini and normal) Last night's washing is waiting to be joined by this morning's effort. I must go through our box of seeds today and work out what we need to buy vs what we have left over still.

I also ran the hoover over the carpet (thrillz) and it's stopped doing the uneven suction thing, so washing out the filter did the job - hurrah!

Have also been ploughing through Les Mis. Can't decide what I think of it yet except that certain bits irritate me.
