But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Afternoon. Lovely day here too.

Awww at Scruffy, what a clever chick she is. Smile

Tell MrH not to worry about the mix up, MrA wouldn't know who either of those actors are. Confused

Re Les Mis, probably making a show into a 6 episode series was pushing it a bit, and it did get somewhat boring towards the end.

I've just realised we're not in the lottery for tonight and I don't know whether I can be arsed to go out and do it. I'd stop it but I use the same numbers every time and I just know if I miss we'll win the jackpot maybe. Hmm

We watched Baptiste last night. It's good, I like him. Not in an HBF way though.

Ohh, here he is Helen, I've told him what you need. Grin

I see Apricot has already sorted out Doctor for you Helen. Hope he rubs everything better in all the right places.

And Helen, I cannot believe you didn’t make notes and properly write up the experiment. You’re quite right, we shall all have to join in to ensure complete accuracy. S’important.

Completely agree about Les Mis. I think we’ll get Baptiste off iPlayer. I meant to record it.

Go and get your ticket Apricot! You never know, this may be the week —that you win £10–

We’ve been out visiting and DH has managed to annoy me. He does this thing where I’ll start telling, for example, LovelyMIL something and he chimes in with what he says I said and then has a strop when I tell him he’s wrong. He does it a lot. So for instance MIL has mentioned a particular shop and I said

Me: “Someone at work brought in some croissants ...”
DH: “Oh and you were saying how you thought they’d be dry because they had not butter with them”
I’d not said that and was a bit narked at him interrupting so contradicted him. Cue DH sulk

Not a big deal in the scheme of things but ^just fucking stop doing it”

Anyway, I have Wine now so I don’t care

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2019 18:04

Cheers Letus Wine

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 18:17

Cheers Wicked

Oi Vinnie, can you bring up another few crates? Red, white and rosé please. And a bottle of vodka.

And some ciders. What? No, just leave them at the top of the steps please. You stay in there.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2019 21:30

Watching The Huntsman, Winter's War. Chris Hemsworth in leather is quite yummie Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2019 21:34

Ta muchly Apricot? Grin Did you win?

I know what you mean LetUs - DH has an annoying habit of telling my stories wrong too. But I shall let him off tonight since his back is really bad, so I'm trying to be a nice sympathetic person (obvs. this is hard because it doesn't come naturally to me (unlike Athos - equally obvs))

How are house things going Wicked?

Wine Gin Brew etc...

FancyFancy · 23/02/2019 21:50

Evening.

Have been very productive today & am feeling pleasantly tired. I may however take my new jazzy ironing board cover for a test run - living the dream on a Saturday night . Can't face an ep of Les Mis while I do that though - too joyless, so maybe an Only Connect. I swear that programme is only about 15 minutes long, it seems to whizz by.

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 21:51

With you on that one Wicked

obvs. this is hard because it doesn't come naturally to me (unlike Athos - equally obvs - so Athos is hard and comes to you naturally Helen Grin

I’m watching Midsomer Murders that I’ve got off the ITV Hub. It’s brilliant because there’s no adverts

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 21:55

Do you shout out when you get the answer before the teams Fancy? I have been known - on that very rare occasion - to shout “in your face, I knew it, you didn’t!” Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2019 22:08

Sweaty and filthy.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2019 22:18

But naturally I'm mainly watching because of the brilliant script, dialogue and the socioeconomic references bla bla bla Grin

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 22:30

And the plot Wicked. Don’t forget the plot.

I had to type that a few times and I still had to rely on autocorrect a lot

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2019 22:33

I love it how you find the double entendres that I didn't even realise were there LetUs Grin

We had University Challenge on earlier, but I was busy helping DS with homework so I paid no attention to it until the last bonus questions were announced, which I thought I might have an outside chance at... and then the buzzer went for the end, so we will never know.

FFS at MN, it's doing the 'not posting' thing... (tries again)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/02/2019 22:37

I'm moving in three weeks time Helen if nothing goes wrong. Maybe I should start packing?

FancyFancy · 23/02/2019 22:50

It's so rare when I do get it letus that I am rather jubilant!
We can quiz you on the plot later ww Wink

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2019 23:03

Socioeconomic references are very important Wicked - you're quite right to be analyzing that sort of thing. Script and dialogue also help.

And the FAF. Grin

Did anyone watch '100 Vaginas' btw? Very good programme. I think DH was slightly Shock at some of the statistics. Think DS is a bit young for it though.

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 23:04

It’s a gift Helen

Three weeks Wicked?! Packing would probably be a good idea. Not tonight though. You need to concentrate on the plot for your upcoming film quiz from Fancy.

Me too Fancy Grin

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2019 23:12

Heard them talking about it on Radio 4 I think today Helen. Might see if I can download it

I think I’ll head to the hayloft. I’m feeling quite bendy

FancyFancy · 23/02/2019 23:29

i didn't watch it helen - what channel was it on?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/02/2019 08:34

Channel 4. Fancy

Morning Smile all misty and sunny out there this morning. Which means I should really stick another wash on. As well as get out the carpet washer - three bloody lots of cat vom for me this morning, FFS, I thought we'd sorted that problem Sad HBFs would never yack up all over the place - they have iron constitutions. Then again, they don't curl up on your lap and purr either.

Ho hum... must get on with mooching online stuff

LetUsPrey · 24/02/2019 09:40

Morning wenches.

mmmm

Sunny here too. I’ve stripped the beds and got the washer going. Oooo.

Sportingactivity later.

FancyFancy · 24/02/2019 11:35

Morning.

I'd like the chance to see if I could get Aramis to purr in my lap.......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/02/2019 12:11

I'm sure you could manage it. Or at least have fun trying. (I think I've sent us into double-entendre territory again haven't I?)

Ohh - washing machine is done... Wonder how far it's walked this time - it's a very sociable machine - tries to come and join the rest of the house whenever it spins Hmm Probably best check the plumbing at some point - depending on how far it's traveled.

Swagger Inn 160 - Spring is just around the corner.....
LetUsPrey · 24/02/2019 13:56

I...I.... I’m going to need a moment

I’m watching Midsomer Murders again. Tom Ellis is in it which is a nice bonus.

Going to do some baking whilst the football is on.
