But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Yay ww!

A day of more chores here too - need to apply moss killer to the lawn. Which is more moss than lawn in some areas Grin

LetUsPrey · 14/04/2019 17:00

Hurrah for services resumed Wicked

Ironing done. Football is on. I was trying to read but DH is talking at me.

HBI was there but the only thing I heard was “push your knees out”.

I’m trying to psych myself up for tomorrow’s return to work.

ApricotCrush · 14/04/2019 17:56

Afternoon wenches.

It's only one wall Helen, but it involves a new bathroom and re-configuring two bedrooms. Shock

I finished series 2 of Fleabag LetUs. Yes, it was good. I didnt realise that she did the TV adaptation of Killing Eve. And she's doing the script for the latest James Bond. Clever lady.

I loved TheThorn Birds. I got lost in YouTube videos yesterday. I've got it on video, yes, video, but I don't think we have a video player that works now. Sad

DH has the golf on, he's a bit behind. I'll leave him for now while I get the meal, but he'll have to stop for Line of Duty.

Pleased you enjoyed it Apricot. I think Phoebe Waller-Bridge is amazing and I want to be her friend.

I’m always a bit in awe of people who can re-imagine rooms in a house like that.

You’ll just have to buy Thorn Birds on DVD Grin

I’ve just made a massive error of trying on some bikinis.

LetUsPrey · 14/04/2019 22:02

We’re finally watching Line of Duty (this current series). Loving it so far!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/04/2019 22:48

I am doing nothing but work and get stressy about work. I am very, very boring.

House renovations sound very messy - thank goodness it's not your house Apricot!

at Bikini letus - the HBFs look appreciative Grin
re. return to work though Sad

Fancy - don't kill the moss! It's all green and it doesn't need mowing! It's like fake grass, but natural.

Hope you've had a nice lazy day Wicked Wine

LetUsPrey · 14/04/2019 23:08

Thanks Helen, I am happy —to kid myself— that the HBFs look appreciative Grin

back re your work

One episode of Line of a Duty done. Flipping brilliant!

Hayloft for me. Night

FancyFancy · 14/04/2019 23:42

You may be right helen - it really doesn't need mowing. Maybe we should all have 'mosslawns'?

Goodness, I remember the Thorn Birds - cheesy but entertaining. Although I always felt a bit uncomfortable about a priest having a thing for a considerably younger girl......

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2019 08:01

Morning wenches.

I’d forgotten that bit, about her being a lot younger, Fancy. No matter, I’ll just remember it differently - I’m good at things like that Grin

Cloudy and cold today. Suppose I’d better have breakfast and go to work

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/04/2019 08:58

Morning.
Sunny.
DS is playing with a friend on his xbox so it's all about social skills and I'm absolutely using technology as a childminder... Hmm

I also remember Thorn Birds. IIR, she pretty much jumped him didn't she? Once she was older? That's what my brain remembers. And him looking horribly ill at ease when she announced that she was having her first period dying. That was on horseback. I think? I remember horses. #Priorities Grin

FancyFancy · 15/04/2019 10:32

Morning
Yes she does helen, but I think it was all the crushing on him while she was a kid & everyone knowing about it that made it feel a bit icky to me. Seems my feminist radar was up and running at an early age Wink
Need to get some work done today. Which is why I am wasting time faffing about on my computer.....

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2019 16:08

The thing I remember is thinking how gorgeous Richard Chamberlain was. Everything else pretty much passed me by - wench from an early age Grin

It’s glorious weather here, now that I’m back in the office.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 15/04/2019 18:02

Yeah, I just remember Richard Chamberlain Grin I was so in love with him when I was younger, both as Aramis in The Three Musketeers and as Shogun.

ApricotCrush · 15/04/2019 18:05

Afternoon.

I loved Richard Chamberlain too LetUs. That scene on the beach is what I remember most. Ooooft! The age difference between them didn't matter in the slightest to me, I thought it was all wonderful.

I've had more than my fair share of house renovations Helen. We've had three houses. The middle one was a new build, and the first thing he did when we moved in was knock a wall down. Shock It also had two extensions before we sold it. I've had a lifetime of power tools and brick dust but thank goodness it's someone else's turn now.

Will have to rewatch last night's Line of Duty. It's getting very complicated.

ApricotCrush · 15/04/2019 18:08

Oh, hello WW, yep we seem to be in agreement. Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 15/04/2019 18:46

Evening wenches.

Oh yes, he was Aramis in the Musketeers film wasn’t he! Another sign. I think after Thorn Birds had been on, they showed repeats of Doctor Kildare.

I’ve just done the first part of the Couch to 5K, running and walking. I managed a few of the running bits. So what I’m going to do now is just lie down here on the floor and not move for quite a while. If I’m still here at bedtime, could you get a couple of the stronger HBFs to carry me up to the hayloft please.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/04/2019 19:56

Does that make Richard Chamberlain a common deonomiator? Or was Fancy too busy being a baby-feminist and thus ruled him out?

Oh Sad Notre Dame Sad I know it's only a building but it was beautiful. At least there are no injuries reported.

ApricotCrush · 15/04/2019 20:05

Omg, I've just seen it on the news. I've never been there but it's so full of history. Very sad. Sad

Very informative thread at twitter.com/GreggFavre/status/1117847726786371585 about the fire and how to control it (or not)

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2019 21:28

I think he might be Helen

Agree that the Notre Dame thing is very very sad. Have just seen that the spire has collapsed Sad

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 15/04/2019 21:40
