I knew the dress I wanted Fancy so I picked some others to try on that were really out there —and expensive— too

It's the best fun isn't it letus? Outside of rampantly shagging Aramis obv. that goes without saying.
One I tried on was like some frightful Bo-Peep inspired frothy monstrosity. My SIL quite liked it. The rest of us were in fits.

Wedding dress shopping was a really good giggle, esp the £3,000 job - I didn't know it was that much and was trying it on out of politeness due to the desperation/helpfulness of the shop owner. It was rather lovely though - one of those jobs where the designer makes yours to measure from scratch!

Yes, lots of , lots of “uniquely styled” dresses and some rather lovely ones too. I tried on one that was a sort of corset top and an enormous satin skirt and I recall there was some sort of Sound of Music curtain fabric stuff going on with the corset. And it was ££££££

You also need at least one veil that makes it look like you've walked through a net curtain and taken it with you on accident. (I really didn't get veils until an assistant put on one me properly )

Will there be one of those fishtail ones which look v. glamourous except you can't walk in them and have to spend your entire wedding propped up against a column looking all Rita Hayworth (can't find exactly the picture I'm thinking of) until a HBF sweeps you off your feet and upstairs (or against the column if there's no-one else about)

Afternoon. The weather doesn't know what it's doing here, sun, rain, sun. Hope it didn't rain on Helen's washing.

Anyway I think spring must have sprung because I've felt motivated today. I coloured bleached my hair and did a load of washing and housework this morning and now I've started knitting a new jumper.

Apricot - we will send HBFs pronto to help you recover from the exertion. Dr Athos says you need to lie back and drink; Dr Strike is going to proceed with a very thorough investigation.

Didn't rain, or I don't think. there is a basket full of clean laundry which DH says has dried. (Suspect it may need hanging out to air but I may be wrong.)

I'm impressed by your foresight LetUs. I can't match that - other than having wine at the wedding (which didn't result in Athos appearing). FFS at disobliging HBFs, as ever.
