But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Well it’s an excellent start. I was in the park —sitting down, playing Countdown on my phone— for simply ages

Sitting in the garden now, watching the washing blowing on the line, about to start reading American Gods.

ApricotCrush · 08/04/2019 17:05

Afternoon. Grey day here.

Thanks for your football support LetUs. Everyone's being very philosophical about it but they're notorious for letting a match slip in injury time. Sad

We have been out for the afternoon. The plan was to go for lunch and then an exhibition at a local museum. Except lunch overran, then we stopped in a hifi shop and got a new speaker, and the museum was closing by the time we got there. So we went to Waterstones instead and bought books. Hmm Not entirely as planned but quite a successful day out. Weather has been rather nice all day too - bonus!

LOL at Line of Duty apricot - does it have any FAF to make it worth rewatching - never mind the storyline of course.

Hope Fancy hasn't been bored to tears with the course...

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2019 20:46

Evening wenches. I’m feeling very well rewarded Grin

Not sure we’ll get to Line of Duty tonight. DH is watching the football and is already nodding off.

I’ve already watched the final episode of Fleabag. I loved it.

Sounds a lovely day out Helen. I’m thinking of buying a book called The Binding. I’ve read the first chapter or so.

My hip’s playing up again Sad. A lot.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/04/2019 21:05

I am very tempted by a book "Why Mummy Swears" Just the blurb on the back is gigglesome and disturbingly familiar...

Anyway, yes LetUs - you deserve to be rewarded by the HBFs. I am going to be rewarded by a bath and early night because I have a headache rumbling about so I should turn off the sodding computer relax and chill out. And also get away from the sodding football that DH is watching. Tomorrow I have another round of juggling DS social life with trying to get some work done...

Night all...

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2019 21:20

Night Helen. Sweet, Athos-filled dreams.

I have a thrilling day planned of sorting out the DC’s bedrooms with them tomorrow. Woohoo.

Might head to —bed with a book— the hayloft with some HBFs

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/04/2019 21:38

Night wenches.

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2019 21:54

Are you feeling all settled in now Wicked?

FancyFancy · 08/04/2019 23:14

Evening

Course were a bit basic, but still useful as they were quite practical.

Multi-faceted letus? never heard it described as that before......

mmmmmm apricot, what a fabulous gif, that should make letus's hip feel better.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2019 07:14

Morning. High broken cloud so far today. Headache still rumbling about (or, more accurately, stabbing away). FFS.

Hope your hip feels better today LetUs Sad Last night's dreams were about moving back to where we used to live, where, for some reason, Sparks was one of our neighbours Confused plus someone I work with, and also we had a very lopsided Xmas tree up, where DH had put all the decorations on one branch. WTAF was my subconscious on?!

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2019 08:29

Morning wenches.

Glad the course was useful Fancy.

Hip still very sore, although obviously the gif helped. Going to phone physio this morning to see if I need a re-referral from GP or not.

Sad at headache Helen. Athos will take your mind off it.

That dream - awesome in its bonkersness!

I should get dressed. Brew first

FancyFancy · 09/04/2019 10:03

Morning
Day off today as I was on courses yesterday
Need to get moving

Excellent dream helen, I do love a bonkers dream - as you say, what the fuck goes on in teh subconscious?

Right, really have to move - ScaredyCat is moving in for a cuddle & I'll get stuck.......

ApricotCrush · 09/04/2019 14:34

Afternoon wenches.

No FAF in Line of Duty unless you like a bearded Martin Compston, but I do like the lead characters.

Hope the headache's gone Helen. I've had one all day, think it's the seasonal thing, I've had a lot lately. Grin at dream.

Sorry about the hip LetUs, hope you got an appointment fixed.

DH has taken a trial with Amazon Prime to get something quickly and Vikings season 5 is on there, so we'll have to binge watch it before the trial runs out. Given that we can't sit through a one-hour programme without going to sleep, the 20 episodes don't stand much chance. Hmm

Oh, proud Mummy moment. DD has been awarded a Long Service Award for working for the NHS for 25 years. Shock Shock She probably deserves a gold medal! She started there at 17, I don't know where the time has gone. Confused

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2019 17:31

Yay for ApricotDD.

DH has also got an Amazon Prime trial - completely on accident because he didn't manage to tick enough 'No thank you.' 'No thanks.' 'No.' 'Really, No,' 'NO!', 'FFS No!!!' boxes last time he bought something. Hmm

Weather has been nice today and have been out all afternoon with DS and friends. The wind is a bit cold though.

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2019 17:46

Evening wenches.

Did you manage to get moving Fancy or was ScaredyCat too quick for you?

Didn’t get an appointment but that’s because I’m an idiot and didn’t phone them

I have visions of you and MrApricot checking how long’s left on the free trial and desperately telling each other to put another episode on quickly!

Big bloody well done to your DD Apricot. She can have a Star and a Wine from me. Flipping love the NHS.

Windy here too Helen. Would be really lovely without the wind. I’ve still been sitting outside though. Loving American Gods!

As DS1 didn’t go to sportingactivity on Friday, he said he would go tonight instead. Strangely he doesn’t remember saying this.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 09/04/2019 18:17

I'm working on it Letus, it goes up and down.
Hope your hip gets better soon Sad

Congrats to your DD Apes Star

It's actually snowing a little bit here Confused

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2019 19:02

Snow?!

Someone here who said he’ll keep you warm and also help with the up and down

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2019 21:04

I would just like to say that work is an utter nightmare this week.

If anyone is looking for me then I'm in the hiding in the hayloft under a big pile of hay.

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2019 21:08

Oh Helen

FancyFancy · 09/04/2019 23:10

Yes I did get moving letus, have had a nice day off, now need to get my head back in work mode - have a busy rest of the week.

Congrats to your DD apricot, that is impressive!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2019 23:45

Tomorrow I shall mostly be powered by Red Bull, but ho humm hey!! (Am feeling slightly more positive about work now, having cleared some of the more pressing problems out of my inbox.)

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2019 07:35

Morning wenches.

Here’s to HBFs to counteract the wench working week and so wenches can be busy doing other things

DS2 has an appointment in a nearby town which shouldn’t be so bad but I stupidly made it for 9am and the traffic is notoriously bonkers. I’ve also suggested he do some homework today.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2019 07:48

Hahahahahahahhahaaaa. at the combination of traffic and homework.

FFAS at my DS wingeing about getting dressed to to out the door.
I am not in the mood for tolerating a small person who argues and answers back and generally has an opinion of their own. Probably just as well I'm going to work and he's off elsewhere for sporty stuff.

I have also developed a cold.

Have a good day all...

FancyFancy · 10/04/2019 08:36

Is DS too old for bluff calling?
