Didn´t want to say anything since I'm feeling a bit stupid but I've had such anxiety these last couple of days, problem sleeping and no appetite. Wondering how fast I could sell this place and rent a cottage or something. I carried on though, putting up curtains and laying out rugs to make the place homely and I'm feeling better today, actually had a good night´s sleep and had some breakfast.

Are you sitting comfortably? then... In my dream, I had been on a spa day (with my parents ) and was getting a train home. HBF standing in carriage, flirtatious eye contact follows, I think about a sneaky POIDH on my mobile, don't bother and decide to have a sleep HBF decides to sit next to me at this point so I decide to go to the toilets (because, yes - this is clearly a good idea? And also why was there a sopare seat next to me if HBF and other people were standing?) Anyway - I come out of toilets to find, in true dream style, that they weren't actually on the train, which has left without me (and taken my handbag and soggy spa stuff with it). Fortunately I can see the train so I chase it to the next station (What am I - the Road Runner?!), hop back on, and fail to find my bags or the HBF. It may be the wrong train - this is a dream, so who knows.. In the meantime this train pulls away with me on it. I ended up at the Wrong Station with no bags or HBF, getting a number for BT from a manhole cover because apparently they are the people to call about my missing bags (WTF?). And I'm going to have to phone my parents to come and pick me up from the Wrong Station (because apparently they are already at home.) Cue me waking up at 5am in a flap because my handbag/purse/keys etc are awol. Awake (sort-of), I comfort myself with the thought that the HBF now has my bag with my address in it and will obvs. pop round to drop it off. Because dreams are real.
I must have got back to sleep because the HBF popped up in another dream where we were visiting on of DH's friends, who had got together with one of HBFs friends and was checking if either of us had any romantic intentions re. her new OH. Odd.

So there you go - lots of dream logic and general bad decision making by my subconscious. Though to my subconscious for sticking the HBF into my dreams

This morning is dry and cloudy and I'm tired... happy days.

Oh Wicked, come here . You’ve done a massive thing. You’ve bought your own place, you’ve moved from countryside to flat. It’s only natural to be anxious and think “what the fuck have I done?” But like you said putting your curtains up, etc - putting your own stamp on the place - will really help. Also when you get out and about there might be some HBFs around

Ah Wicked - you're doing fine. Moving from rural to city is a massive step to combine with actually buying your own place.
You'll be fine, and city living is actually quite fun - lots to do without having to travel far.

Plus, if it really doesn't suit after all, you can just sell up and move on again. Not ideal, but possible.

I’m knackered. Traffic was crap, had quick dinner, then out with DS2 to do several errands, called at mum’s, called at sister’s, back home and got DS2 to do more homework.

Well, that was another day of spreadsheet shenanigans where I tried to fix other peoples' errors and uncovered some of my own in the process. FFS and all that. But tomorrow I am going out for the morning with a friend (a steam room and a massage might be involved) so I don't give a monkeys.
