But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

Waves leek at the Welsh contingent Grin Scotland currently being thumped by England Sad

LetUsPrey · 16/03/2019 19:13

Back from watching Captain Marvel. O.M.G. it was brilliant! The soundtrack was awesome too and I have quite the girl crush on Brie Larson.

If BestFriend can’t make it Helen, I shall extend the invitation. Because of course I’m going to win Grin

It’s stopped raining but is still windy.

Ooooo at Muse Fancy! When are you seeing them?

That was a tense end to the rugby.

Are the cats sitting on top of the packing boxes again at Wicked’s?

FancyFancy · 16/03/2019 22:00

Seeing them in June letus - can't wait Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/03/2019 22:04

I suspect that wicked is too busy with Kylo atm - they'll be working out exactly what his force can do Grin

Hoping to see Captain Marvel tomorrow.

And of course you're going to win LetUs. Fact. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 16/03/2019 22:31

Quite Envy of you Fancy

The Killers have been announced as headlining Glastonbury - which of course was already sold out last October - but it gives me some hope they might play a few other gigs in the UK this summer. Pleeeeeaaassssee

I suspect you’re right Helen. Either that or they’re testing out the bath together.

I am already —in bed— up in the hayloft.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/03/2019 22:59

at on your knees.
I am also in the hayloft. Definitely. I'm not working. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 16/03/2019 23:01

I’ll just have to get closer to the HBFs

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/03/2019 07:52

... oh the hardship Wink

Wenches!!! Shock

Its a little bit breezy here.
The roaring wind has stopped! Shock

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2019 08:50

Morning wenches.

It was a struggle Helen (not even at all) but I wenchfully made the best of the situation. Several times over in fact Wink

Also appears to be not very windy here. When I started typing this it was sunny, but now it’s cloudy and dull.

DS2 still has shitloads of homework to do. Great.

FancyFancy · 17/03/2019 10:52

Morning. Also a bit less windy here - hopefully my washing will stay on the line!

Ought to get moving - wrote a long to do list before I went to bed last night (sadly not of the wench variety) so should make a start.

Good that you’re ticking things off Fancy

Been out to see parents, —lost patience with DS2 and shouted at him to do his homework— encouraged DS2 to do his homework that’s due in tomorrow, watched some tv. I’ve realised that I’ve not done the ironing.

ApricotCrush · 17/03/2019 18:04

Afternoon.

Not so windy here but still bitterly cold. DH has been gardening and I ventured out to give him a cuppa but scurried back in pdq.

Oh dear, this homework lark is relentless, isn't it? And the ironing although I don't do very much of that these days.

Penultimate Baptiste tonight, that's gone quickly. It's been good.

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2019 18:19

Doesn’t help that DS2 struggles with schoolwork which makes him twice as reluctant to do it.

You’ll be needing to wrap up properly warm Apricot. I’d get an HBF to help with that but DH is within viewing distance of my iPad.

Oh hang on, he’s gone into kitchen

Evening.

Been to see Captain Marvel today - you're right LetUs - it was rather fabulous. Though did you have the awful Post Office Mortgages advert where a whiny entitled manchild is an ungrateful brat when his mother makes him a packed lunch? I nearly shouted at the screen Angry and was heartily sick of the adverts by the time the film actually started. Though at trailers for the upcoming Avengers and X-Man films Grin

This evening I was making pudding and then dropped the bowl on the floor (don't ask). Fortunately it just dropped and didn't tip or anything, but I had to clear up all the fountain of milky slimy mess from the floor - and in between the floorboards Confused Ick. Oh well, I think it's all cleaned up now - when the kitchen start to stink then we'll know that I missed some.

Hope that Fancy's list got thoroughly done Grin

Gin for DS2 and his homework LetUs

[HFBs in coats] to keep Apricot warm. Or, come to think of it, [HBFs without their coats or any clothes at all Grin ]

The bit where Wicked was really pleased that she'd got the internet connected..? Hmm

LetUsPrey · 17/03/2019 22:05

You’re welcome Apricot. Perhaps the HBFs can bring their coats with them to use as blankets.

We didn’t have that advert Helen thankfully. Mind you, we also didn’t have the Avengers or X-Men trailers. We had Hellboy, Shazam, Tolkien, and Dumbo. Interesting mix.

Oh bloody hell at dropping the pudding. Hope you got it all.

I’ll try the Wicked klaxon.

Watching the first Captain America film. He’s just said “I’d like to surrender myself for disciplinary action”. Well, if he insists Grin

Night

LetUsPrey · 18/03/2019 07:51

Morning wenches.

It’s a bit sunny, it’s not windy.

I have that Unexplained Feeling Of Dread that comes around every so often. Such fun.

Hope it’s nice where the wenches are and Apricot gets to go on one of those newfound walks.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/03/2019 08:06

Unexplained Feeling Of Dread That would be that Monday morning feeling then? Or the realisation that despite the best efforts of our imaginations we are still lacking in actual, real HBFs?

DS is ignoring my requests to turn of the xbox so I will shortly be turning into a shrieking banshee. Nice.

Oh well - the weather seems nice here too, so there's that (So I will spend most of the day in a north-facing room peering at a screen.) Also, I keep giving the cats the side-eyes since Captain Marvel Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 18/03/2019 14:38

I'm still alive Smile Just trying to adjust to a flat after living on the countryside for the last 17-18 years.

But I'm tellimg you that I will totally use movers again next time. And it doesn't cost much, we had a taxreform so you can do a tax deduction and save quite a lot of money. A van with two movers for 4 hours, and they also drove to another city will cost me about £400.

LetUsPrey · 18/03/2019 20:05

Evening wenches.

Dread feeling still hanging about. No HBFs hanging about. Dear Universe, please feel free to reverse the trend.

Grin at keeping a wary eye on the cats Helen.

Are you having fun making your flat your own Wicked? Did the wardrobe issue get sorted? Are the cats settled? Allllll the questions Grin. Sounds like a bargain for your movers!

ApricotCrush · 18/03/2019 20:26

Evening wenches.

I hate that feeling of impending doom LetUs. It never comes to anything though.

Good deal on the removal WW. The last time we did it, oh aeons ago, we did it ourselves with a van. Took days, but there was no urgency as the house was empty and we were moving from my Mum's where we were staying as we'd sold our previous house and hadn't bought a new one.

I found a chocolate gateau down the bottom of the freezer a few days ago. I sometimes buy them for a future occasion, it must have been there for about 2 years and I forgot it. Anyhoo, I've had a large slice of it and now feel sick.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/03/2019 21:04

Evening all.

Countryside to flat is a bit of a difference Wicked - hope you're settling in well with the cats though. I wouldn't consider moving without professionals, not ever. Not for a houseful of stuff. I did my first ever move with friends and family and a van, but not again.

and [HBFs] re. impending doom Letus

Have you managed a walk in the new woods yet apricot?

We are still working our way through Comic Relief - just done The Bodyguard Grin
