But until it arrives, the wenches will be snuggling up with the HBFs in the hibernacle. Smile

The weather is also blah here. with extra rain. Though, looking outside, it may have stopped for now. Or not - no - it's just not hammering down anymore. I may go outside anyway and do gardening, just because I'm bloody minded and contrary like that.
I'm not convinced it worth putting washing on really, given that I'll only have to dry it indoors. pfft.

Oh, though, on the plus side, my twitter stream is full of Good Omens promo and American Gods Grin So that's nice.

We’ve just had sleet. Nice. Perhaps give yourself an hour’s break Wicked and go outside? and then I’d come back in and do nothing

I’d stay inside Helen in your case. No sense in getting wet unless there are HBFs involved

No HBI. Pfft.

LetUsPrey · 10/03/2019 11:38

Also ooooo at Good Omens! I didn’t get beyond the second or third episode of American Gods so might give it another try.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 12:09

LetUs, Try reading American gods first, if you struggled with the series. The TV version isn't exactly the same, but it might make the series easier to understand Grin (And if you don't enjoy the book, then no point in watching the series.)

I am going to go into the garden and look like I've been busy there, before DS and DH get back.

FancyFancy · 10/03/2019 12:12

Afternoon.
I may try some gardening in a bit, but it doesn't look very enticing. Definitely no drying outside - unless I want my washing blown all over the neighbours gardens.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 15:06

I gardened in the rain, and planted some weeds wildflower mix (which probably won't come up, given my past experiments) and some poppies. The I came back in. Then we had blue sky and sunshine. Now it looks like it's about to rain is raining has stopped raining again.

We should all go back to bed, with the HBF(s) of our choice. In a room with a big comfy bed, crisp clean sheets, a roaring fire, a chaise, and a fully stocked bar which includes lots of chocolates.

LetUsPrey · 10/03/2019 15:50

Thanks for the tip Helen, good idea. I’ll give the book a go.

Aramis said he was going to see you Fancy. He had the Blue Sash Of Sex and I don’t think it was to stop you from being blown away whilst gardening Grin

I’ll second your suggestion Helen about bed, HBFs, etc. What is it with sodding homework? He knows it’s got to be done but jaysus it’s like pulling teeth.

ApricotCrush · 10/03/2019 16:04

Afternoon.

Well done for braving the weather to do gardening. It's very cold and windy here. DH is on the garage roof mending a leak. Shock Hope he doesn't get blown away. Hmm

No idea about Good Omens or America Gods. Confused

Going out later for a pub carvery with DD and co.

Have a good evening all.

MrApricot. On the garage roof. In the wind. Is he back down and in the house safely Apricot? Have a fantastic evening.

DH had to take LovelyMIL to the hospital (referred by 111) because of a really serious problem with her back. She’d seen her GP in the week who hadn’t been very helpful but hospital —were not impressed with GP— seem to have sorted things for now.

I need to do the ironing. Everyone else here is watching the football. It’s not going well.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 18:05

DH has football, DS has cartoon network, I have my laptop.

Shock at MrA on the roof. Saying that, I do remember hanging off a shed roof with sheets of corrugated iron during the 1980s hurricane, trying to stop them peeling off while my father hammered them down, so I'm not really one to talk.

Good to hear that MILLetUs has been sorted.

We have chicken casserole for tea. I need to go make cheese sauce for the cauli cheese.

Tonight I am wallowing in a hot, deep bath. With Athos. (I'm sure you can workout which parts of that sentence are the least likely to actually happen.)

FancyFancy · 10/03/2019 18:40

PLEASE TELL ME mrAPRICOT IS SAFELY BACK INSIDE?!?!?!

helen - your parents are clearly cut from the same cloth as mine - aged 10/11 yo I used to be sent up on the garage roof to pick apples 'because it might not take your Dad's weight' Shock

Aramis was most useful letus, although not for gardening purposes - I did manage to not get blown away & have filled up my garden waste bin.

This evening's chore - the ironing. May watch LesMis if I can face the misery.

FancyFancy · 10/03/2019 18:49

Arghh, missed that about MIL letus - glad some progress is being made.

Have a lovely evening apricot

LetUsPrey · 10/03/2019 19:09

Helen in a hot, deep bath with Athos. Part of that isn’t true. Did you forget to put the hot water on? Is your bath not particularly deep?

Watching Les Mis might make you feel better about having to do the ironing Fancy.

DS2 is still doing the same homework he started earlier today. Did we restock the bar?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 19:22

Grin LetUs. Will this be enough to be going on with?

Cleaned so much my arm hurts.

ApricotCrush · 10/03/2019 19:48

Yes, he's safe. We've had the carvery which was very nice and are now back home. I'm going to get ready for bed and then watch Baptiste.

Sorry to hear about MIL's back LetUs. Hope she's alright.

Well done WW. Now have a rest.

Cleaned so much my arm hurts - not an affliction I am familiar with

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 20:23

Wicked needs to clean my house for me have a nice relaxing bath after all that cleaning.

Swagger Inn 160 - Spring is just around the corner.....
WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/03/2019 20:31

Yes, I think so too Helen Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/03/2019 20:36

And I usually don't clean this much, believe me. It's only cause I'm moving.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/03/2019 20:49

Speaking of baths... I was going to snorkeling with Athos

LetUsPrey · 10/03/2019 21:50

That’s a good start Helen. I can definitely get that first one down my neck

“Cleaned so much my arm hurts” - is “cleaned” another euphemism, particularly seeing as Adam’s in the bath

Phew for MrApricot being safe!

Think we’re going to watch some third series Shetland

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/03/2019 03:22

LetUsPrey · 11/03/2019 08:00

Morning wenches.

Still rather breezy here. It’s also Monday again but the less said about that the better.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/03/2019 08:19

Also breezy here, and sunny. Spring has sprung, which means that psychotic cockerel is back to being psychotic - feeding from my hand with increasingly aggressive pecks, until he just forgets about the food and goes for a finger. FFS.

Nothing to see here, move along...
