at all present wrapped - ell done Fancy. I've not got that done yet, I hate wrapping presents. DH seems to have knackered his back doing wrapping on the floor yesterday. I ought to try the 'wrap on an ironing board' tip that I heard on the radio, but that would mean unearthing the ironing board.

Done washing and ironing and am now sorting out the year's photos for CDs for the DCs. DH is hoovering away, I'll just let him get on with it I think.

In-laws are only here for 3 nights Apricot, but we need a table to eat at, and seats to sit on, and they needs beds as well. So it's a frantic full-house effort to get every room habitable, (Including a quick mould-killing session on the damp bits of the ceiling - it might not look much better but at least I know I've done it!)

Am currently doing HBFs wrapping stuff on the bed - this is no better than using the the floor because my knees are getting sore from kneeling.

In other news, FFS. DS has developed a rash this afternoon. Has anyone else come across a rash that looks like nettle rash, goes away within an hour if you put cream on it, and then springs up somewhere different? No fever or anything, though he said he felt sick this morning. It's def. not chickenpox.

A quick read up about nettle rash/hives sounds like what MiniHelen’s got? Is he itchy? Do you have any antihistamines he can take?

Oh joy. But at least that's not contagious. Will stick him on antihistamines in the morning, or if he wakes up tonight being itchy.

Hope MiniHelen is much recovered in the morning. Speaking of DC, DS2 is yet again still awake. He’s already got a bit of a cold and started with a cough today so could do with a good night’s sleep or he’s not going to have such a fun Christmas.

Urgh at stressed and illing DCs at Christmas. DS has probably given himself hives worrying about whether Father Christmas is really real, because logic dictates he isn't, but people at school say he is. And Lord knows DS doesn't like to be wrong so he wants to stay up to check.

Dr Aramis is obviously very instructive. Dr Athos is more about action than words.

It is a lovely thought isn’t it Fancy, although waking up does somewhat suggest being asleep at some point and with HBFs on the scene that seems unlikely

Now I'm smirking at the idea of FancyCat in particular giving any HBFs the stinkeye for daring to take up bed space
