Morning all. DS is fiie this morning, I had a dream about one of our GPs trying to go on a date with me. WTAF subconscious?!

Was a night for weird dreams Helen. I had a dream that the Chamber of Secrets (as in Harry Potter and The) was beneath my work and I kept trying to get down towards the cellars (we don’t have cellars) to access it. This was after one of the bosses had explained to me and a colleague that we’d be taking on some extra work and responsibilities for no extra pay - so that part not so weird.

Pleased that MiniHelen is better.

I need to have breakfast and shower and no doubt remember stuff I’ve forgotten to get/do.

I’ve done the ironing and am watching Poirot. DH has been cooking up a storm in prep for tomorrow.

Evening wenches. Woke this morning to find a cut on DH's arm had opened up in the night and he'd bled all over the duvet cover. That was a job I wasn't planning for today. Never mind I think I'm just about done in.

I'm getting a cold. Woe.

There is also a revolting smell in our bedroom I think we have a decomposing rodent in the loft above us. Gah! Just as well someone gave me a smelly candle recently, it may be of use over the next few days. If this cold develops as a blocked nose rather than a sore throat/sneeze fest then that would be useful.

Poor MrA - did the duvet clean up ok? #Priorities I did a wash and put towels on the line this morning, which was a bit pointless because nothing dried

Hope Fancy is having HBFs fun. It's the big celebration in Wicked-land as well isn't it? With traditional cheese doodles and chocolate mud cake ice cream

It was only the cover Helen, the duvet escaped. Same here, it was on the line all day and I think it came in wetter than it went out. He's fine, he didn't realise what had happened.

Eek, at cold and smell in bedroom.

Evening wenches. Worked almost all day and the blob arrived on top of that so don't feel Christmassy at all. Started watching The crooked house, an Agatha Christie movie but it was quite boring so now I'm watching the first Magical creatures movie instead.

Am trying to work out times for tomorrow for getting up, opening presents, breakfast, getting ready, first lot of visiting, back home, get changed, back out for remainder of day.

Or I could just stare at pictures of HBFs. Tough decision.

Schedule:
Get woken up by DS elephanting into out room with stockings HBF nuzzling my neck (as per Aramis and Adele)
Get dragged out of bed to go downstairs Lounge lazily in bed with HBF
Spend entire morning in kitchen with stressed out DH bed with HBF, feeding each other chocolate and whatever snacks take our fancy
Open random, panic bought Christmas presents thoughtfully chosen and well wrapped presents with HBF (HBF might be one of things that need unwrapping
Eat lunch
Spend entire afternoon washing up in bed with HBF
Collapse in heap fall aslepp in bed with HBF

In a twist for Christmas morning, I shall be in my stockings for the HBFs

Today started at 5am with much wailing and gnashing of teeth that DS was not allowed to fetch stockings(not LetUsesezes ones) followed by sulking, and then a small herd of elephants at 6am running up and down stairs with stockings.

Everyone else has now emerged. I'm thinking about going back to bed.

Is a lovely clear frosty morning, and a very pretty sunrise (though I'd rather have been asleep.)

It's amazingly quiet and peaceful here. That's because we're going to DD's for the day, but all hell breaks loose tomorrow.

Had very nice day, if slightly stressful when I left the room during present opening and DH didn't bother to note what DS was opening and from whom. FFS. Nice day though, and everyone happy with presents, so hurrah. DS says I can have a lie-in tomorrow, We'll see...

Cold update - nose alternately blocked up or running like a tap. Sneezing. Sore throat currently subsided. Will do a precautionary salty gargle under supervision from Dr Athos anyway, just to be on the safe side.
