Evening. I have been swimming with DS and we are now in 'thank you letter' hell, because it took ages for us to get around to it. Actually, he's writing another two without too much co,plaint, its just very tedious.

It tried to snow here, but too wet and it lasted for a matter of seconds before melting into the general soggyness that is the ground round here. the swimming pool staff did greet me with "Is it still snowing?" so they clearly had a bit more than us. But it's just cold and dark.

Evening. Luckily the snow didn't settle - well it did on my car, froze, then needed to be scraped off It soon cleared up & was sunny here, so not a bad end to the day. Working at home tomorrow & am bloody glad - it's supposed to be cold so i can stay in teh warm shooing cats off my work

It's very white and crunchy underfoot in the garden here, and the red-orange stripey clouds have faded out to gray with a golden glow where the sun's coming up through the clouds*

The livestock (inc. DS) has been fed, it's light outside... can I got back to bed yet?

*Whilst typing that, the the golden glow effect has gone and it's just watery grey/blue sky and grey clouds now. Much less scenic and inspiring. Def. time to go back to bed.

Going back to bed is definitely allowed helen. I am having a cuddle with ScaredyCat before starting work. It looks very frosty outside - what a good job I have lots of work to do & won't have time to go outside.

Bloody Hell it's been a week of Mondays in terms of sheer horror of work stuff this week. And I'm going out tonight to catch up with friends which will be lovely but really all I want to do is collapse on the sofa with a large box of chocolates and sit there looking brain dead. Oh well. I shall just go and have a nice evening out and rant at them about the stupidity and ineptitude of work.

So much stress at work atm, I'm so tired. Also had a really weird dream. I was at this club or something with gangsta rap music. But I had to take off my shoes before entering and when I left someone had knicked them. And they were my good Ecco shoes.

Thanks for the tv package stuff. I sorted out a price for Sky, then DH phoned Virgin Media (I do research, he does awkward phone calls) and they've reduced our bill by over £40 a month, so we're staying with them. We've sacrificed a couple of things for that, but I don't lose my email account, which was what I was most worried about.

This is really making me want to buy shoes. Years ago I had an absolutely beautiful pair of red shoes, high heels, with red flowers embroidered on them. Sort of a dull satin fabric. I have no idea what happened to them.
