Taking DS2 shopping this morning as I’ve realised he needs new school trousers. Fun times.

Pfft. I shouldn't be tired because I had a lie-in - albeit with added Stupid Cat who doesn't think that I should be asleep when I could be feeding her or making a fuss of her - so not so much of a lie-in really. And my lower back is really sore (woe) for no apparent reason. FFS and all that. Have just been leaning against a massage thingy for 20 minutes in the hopes that it can loosen whatever muscle has tied itself in knots. (Hurrah for Xmas pressies.) also the weather is utterly dreich and is not doing anything to cheer me up. Woe, woe etc.

Glad you had a good time last night though - fingers crossed for the shopping trip. I don't suppose you could pick up some trousers for my DS too? His were looking suspiciously short on Friday.

Good luck with the shopping letus - so relieved to no longer have the issue of growing out of clothes for my DCs. Very quiet here today - DS went back last night so I am sat with a very cuddly ScaredyCat. When I should be doing some work. The deadline that I said was not very realistic is proving to be......not very realistic

DS2 tried on about 10 different pairs of trousers (school ones and others). We’ve come away with two school pairs and one other pair which don’t fit brilliantly but they’ll have to do. He was really patient bless him. Didn’t get any for MiniHelen - perhaps his were just pretending to be a bit short.

Woe indeed for not a proper lie-in, poorly back, and shitty weather. I shall try to cheer you up.

I have pulled my finger out, gone to the builders' merchants and got more fake-creosote. Two sheds done, one to go... added to which DH and DS came back while I was busy out there, so have brownie points for having been productive and not spent all Saturday morning asleep/faffing about online. Go me

Am now installed on sofa with laptop and stupid cat vying for space. Have just had a hot chocolate and my fingers are no longer doing their best icicle impression.

Morning. Upper back was sore in bed this morning - I think the cause of this a large lump that I discovered at 3am.... (climbing into the bed with me whispering "I can't get back to sleep Mummy!")

Ho hum. I got up (at normal time - not 3am) fed cats and chicken then slumped for a bit (being a cat bed) then went back to bed and woke up again at 11am I may have been a bit tired... Will be using the back thingy against - it is one of these:
