Made a Baked Alaska with DS for tea. I never thought I'd say this about a pudding, but it was nauseatingly sweet. Don't think I want to repeat that experiment. Unless next time I use a less-sweet icecream. Or see if meringues work without so much sugar.

We're back to normal now with DGS, although he's gone early tonight as he's starting Cubs. I hope he likes it more than his mother liked Brownies, she lasted 3 weeks. DS did Cubs and Scouts though, he loved it.

Various parenting fails today including almost forgotten dental appointment for one DC, and almost getting the remembered one for the other DC at the wrong time, and forgetting that childminder isn’t back until later this week (DS2 still going for another few weeks) and leaving him waiting at her house (fortunately with access to somewhere dry and not cold) for about an hour and a half before I remembered and one of us picked him up. Whoops.

Yes, he phoned me to check where he was supposed to be. I mistakenly told him the CM’s. I assumed she’d set off to the primary school and he was to just wait for her. That was about 3.15. Texting him whilst he was waiting. Only realised my mistake at about 4.30

But he didn't think to call back to say that she hadn't turned up yet? dopey child All's well anyway.

I need to turf Stupid Cat off me and go sort out tomorrow's lunch...
