I am apparently a successful artist living in Australia (!)

Quite strange seeing someone else with your full name, particularly as mine is quite unusual. Mega spooky when there is a photo.

spook · 29/08/2004 11:46

OMIGOD!! I am an "extreme curves" model! May 16th on the Curvy Calendar. God if only...

DelGirl · 29/08/2004 11:57

Apparently I died in 1928 and would you believe it, there's a picture of my gravestone on the net!!!!! The daughter of some noblemen that i've never heard of. OMG and my name is fairly unusual too.

Mo2 · 29/08/2004 11:59

I am mostly "me" as in real life too, although there's a newspaper editor in the US too... (and someone who wrote a book about potty training!)

beansmum · 29/08/2004 12:08

i play alto sax for the edinburgh university wind ensemble, weird, i live in edinburgh!

bran · 29/08/2004 12:20

I was involved in a civil case in Dublin, the type of case is Road Traffic, so I guess I had a car crash.

That is so dull!

KateandtheGirls · 29/08/2004 13:31

I've got a pretty common name, so I'm either:

a) an American TV actress;
b)a singer from Essex;
c) a professor at Cornell University;
d) a flute player;
e) an Irish senator;
f) an English hockey player;
g) a World Trade Center widow.

Hmm, maybe I could reinvent myself...

jampot · 29/08/2004 13:31

I am "me" on about 3 entries but also a trampolining champion somewhere too and a spokesperson in the US.

maretta · 29/08/2004 13:37

I don't get anything on my married name. I have a fairly unusual surname.
Under my maiden name I write for the Sunday Times. I also once saw my name on the credits of Bullseye as a question setter.

edam · 29/08/2004 13:42

I did this, and because of my last job/slightly unusual name, got three pages of results, all but two about me! Which made me feel jolly important.
Except that one of the other people with my name is a nurse at an abortion clinic in the US and cropped up on the website of some anti-abortion nutter who is clearly trying to incite murder. Scary...

Azure · 29/08/2004 14:04

I've done a quick search of both my married name (a jeweller in Hastings) and maiden name (at least 2 deaths and a couple of court proceedings - not mine, I hasten to add). It also linked me to Friends Reunited, where someone I worked with around 14 years ago is trying to get in touch with me. Not sure whether to reply or not, though.

wilbur · 29/08/2004 14:11

I've got a common name but mostly I'm a singer-songwriter in the USA so when I google my name I just get thousands of CD store search results. Dh, however, is a google whack - only one result for him and it's as a character in someone's not-very-good online novel. Spooky - my husband doesn't exist....

Miaou · 29/08/2004 14:18

Just discovered I breed Icelandic ponies too....

SoupDragon · 29/08/2004 14:27

I am a nonentity.

AuntyQuated · 29/08/2004 14:36

i am, according to google,....

the award winning author of sexy, emotionally charged historical romances.

nikcola · 29/08/2004 14:55

i did and im a porn star !!!!!!!

tex111 · 29/08/2004 15:26

I did my married name and they were all really me, but DH has a very unusual surname so I would be very surprised to find anyone else with my name. My maiden name is very normal though so there were lots. My fave was a prisoner in Oklahoma looking for a pen pal - romance optional!!

carla · 29/08/2004 15:58

Wow! I'm one of a kind (At least before I got married}

enid · 29/08/2004 16:20

so weird! One result for my married name and its me, 20 results for my maiden name and one of them is me - I STILL have my old athletic club record for Under 15 hurdles and the pentathlon!!!

fisil · 29/08/2004 16:21

I am a solicitor in NZ and a florist in York (and appear myself a couple of times). When I first did this I rang the florist in York (my name is fairly unusual), and then felt really silly saying "Hello, is this X Y? Well, this is X Y." Her mail order flowers come in packaging covered in her name, so I often use her now as a fun pressie!

carla · 29/08/2004 16:26

How's this for odd ... in a seaside town in north Italy, there are two adjacent beaches called Carla and Giuseppinea! Weird seeing me about 10 years old pictured in front of them!

golds · 29/08/2004 16:35

Maiden name - I am an author, who had communicated with her dead son, about life on the other side

carla · 29/08/2004 16:37

golds, I don't understand that - please elaborate.
