Off to physio this morning and then shopping with DS2. DS1 starts his work experience today. He looks a bit nervous bless him.

Morning all. I have taken DS off to holiday activity, and now I'm not quite sure what to do with myself - lots to do, where to start, etc. So obvs, I'm pootling about online

Twitter tells me that you can buy an 'Evening with Tom Burke' for on 28th October for £18. If you are a 'friend' of the theatre (cost, £35) than you can pay £25 and have a meet'n'greet afterwards as well... I remember the days when you could just hang about and the theatre bar and he'd come over for a natter after the play... Still, I suppose it's all fundraising for said theatre and his production company.

I have been snoozing on the sofa for the past half hour, to the soundtrack of DS and friend blethering about whatever computer game it is that they're playing together. Must pull myself together and make sure they're fed and watered... I' sure I was meant ot be ctually doing something online, but am blowed if I can remember what it was.

I put the thermometer out on the patio, in the shade, and it hit 34 degrees at about 2pm. I am beyond wilting and am now in the melted puddle stage.

My work experience when I was at school put me off what I thought I wanted to do (work in a bank). Although I did have a crush on one of the bank workers after a couple of days

I haven't got past episode 2 of Versailles still, becuse DH never wants to watch it and/or by the time we're actually sitting down to watch TV I just want to go to sleep. FML. I should have binge-watched it all today while he was working in the office.

Glad to hear that Apricot is back safely. I didn't do proper work experience until Uni, though that was probably caused by my parents putting me to work for them... apparently my work experience was not very good (according to my tutor) I thought it was fine (if a bit tedious) but the lunchtime ice-creams from the van were very good experience And I got asked out on a date by someone there (though was a bit too clueless to do much about that, and I did have an actual boyfriend anyway who I really ought to have dumped )

In exciting weather news - we have a bit of rain forecast tomorrow night! And also a downpour on thursday when DS is off out on an outdoor adventure day thingy. Oh well, he won't need suncream that day then.

Ditched exerciseclass again. I think BestFriend and I need to find something new to do. I mean, I can think of some very energetic activities for me to do but they’re very HBF dependent.

Those exercises are the best LetUs (though probably not with your BestFriend unless they're a HBF)

I am going to the hayloft - BoringOfficeJob tomorrow, in the sauna very-hot-south-facing-office-with-lots-of-windows-and-no-aircon

I have really bad indigestion. Peppermint cordial, indigestion tablets - it still hurts . I’m off to the hayloft and HBFs can rub my back, and anything else.

Alarm went off at 7.30. I switched it off. Went back to sleep and have just been woken up by DH phoning. Whoops . Best get a move on.

Evening. I don't know what day it is. We usually come back from the caravan on a Sunday, so I keep thinking it's Monday. In addition we haven't got DGS this week as they're away.

Yay for lie-in LetUs and hope Helen has survived the sauna.

We did some gardening this afternoon. The wisteria is like a bloody triffid. We cut it down to about 4 feet at the end of last year, and it's up over the roof again. I cut off the new growth I can reach every green bin day. It's quite scary, you can practically watch it grow.
